CF said in his last presentation that we are profitable and market expectations suggest we will be firmly profitable for all 2021

Agreed Be Contrarian. Either way, a solid first half of £22 million plus would exceed the entire last financial year total and can do nothing less than underpin a higher base in the medium term.
It’s been a ‘wait and see’ period for Orph but Monday will be an interesting one for sure. I’d say a lot of LTHs are still here because the investment case is still strong. Just sitting on hands, waiting it out.
The unknown variable will be the un RNSd smaller contracts, any contracts whose value was not disclosed, and costs. IMO, those will be the margins upon which results will be judged.
I agree with citizen that Monday will not be the be all and end all by any means. If results are awful or brilliant, expect that to be capitalised on. But perspective is everything, we are in a hot space, been some brilliant contracts drop recently etc. Last couple of months there have been a couple of really nice contracts drop, but it’s failed to shift sentiment entirely. For that reason, I think current price has already priced in all but the worst case scenario results IMO. No doubt lessons were learned from last set of results, and how destabilising that was for the SP. I’m cautiously optimistic.
What I will say though is now August is through and the often ‘news barren’ summer at an end, I would like to hear some forward guidance on spin outs. We won’t get 4 done by year end but I would love to hear progress is being made on DIM and/or giving SEEK the kick up the proverbial it desperately needs. We don’t want the spin out narrative to dry up as that will be bad for core Orph long term in my opinion.
Anyway, we look forward to Monday! And the rich vein of news that will hopefully follow. GLA
Well I got today right. I bet your all happy if Im back on Monday bumping this thread.... well, if your invested of course ;-)
Agree Citizen, the results on Monday will not be great - we know we are EBITDA positive but not yet profitable.
As long as this loss is small(ish) and due to one off costs then i will be happy.
Additionally, YE guidance and firm updates on the 3 spin offs is critical as this will impact share sentiment. Hopefully CF is on the ball and provides clear and concise numbers and timings.
Let’s not forget our 3 spin offs still to come
Believing that only an exceptional set of results on Monday will secure a positive future for OO is short sighted at best. Companies aren’t made or broken in one quarter or one set of earnings. The results should confirm OO as profitable and with growing revenue, but the key to this company’s future is its unique position in an exponential growth market. Next week is just another marker on that road.
I'd like to think so but it's been very quiet here the past few days, not sure if that is good or bad? let's hope we don't get the ususal poor reaction to a very positive RNS!!!! CF must have realised by now that only exceptional news will be seen by the markets as a positive for the SP and future prospects for OO. Maybe we'll be rewarded for our long term patience! GLA here's to a knock em out of the park update from CF next week.
I can see this being back around 30p next week. Finish today around 26p and Monday could bring a hefty rise.... All guess work, but a hunch of mine that Cathal is preparing something sweet for us.
I just sold 2000 of another share. And I am looking and researching other companies to put it in. Then, even though I am overweight in ORPH, I thought, what other company am I more confident in? So I put another 2000 into ORPH. And I feel good about that. I know people have been disappointed in the big drop. But most likely scenario is a push up in price and some dividend species announcements shortly. Once you get a dividend in species, like POLB, you then have a new company in your portfolio. It is kind of a diversification in a way. :-) It is still a long term hold for me.
