The best thing about BBs is exchanging investment ideas and research .... having made a big stash of cash in a short period of time, the question is what oilies deserve this hard earned! I have some ideas but would like to exchange some thoughts ...my current short list includes
RRE undervalued North Sea oily producing 11000 bopd and an EBITDA the same as the market cap debt free and cash rich
TRIN undervalued Trinidad oily producing 3000 BOPD debt free and cash rich
TXP Trinidad focused very low market cap and an active exploration programme in Q2
SDX North Africa focused has plans to bring SD online at mid year and will reach 10,000 boepd
Soco International Share price has been hammered and now stabilised at 10 years lows ... South east Asia assets and just made an acquisition in Egypt! Big expansion plans ! Returns annual dividend currently equal to 7% of SP
I'm invested in SDX, great company very undervalued at the moment. Normally has it's best performance between Jan - May. Weird things happen with the SP though like great news and no rise in SP then all of sudden it storms upwards. They have just removed from TSX as well. Can't go wrong with RPT, RRE and JKX but I may wait for the dips to add more. Amerisur might be a good shout at around 15p. If you want a huge amount of risk and a poorly run company you could go for Angs. But could be an easy bagger if they get Brockham to flow, could also get many a placing. PMO and ENQ looks pretty cheap. Those are my thoughts.
Cheers Harts
Some decent thoughts there! I tend to steer away from debt ridden companies ! I haven’t invested in a heavily indebted company since Afren in 2014!
SDX is extremely cheap!
PMO might be worth a punt at 60p and ENQ at 18p
Had my pants pulled down with SDX over the last 4 months .... not this time around, I will be greased and ready.
SQZ is my safe haven for the foreseeable.
Low opex, cash generative, no debt or very little with great producing assets at a low mcap is the only way forward imo. Although I do think the time is limited with O&G's companies particularly those on AIM
RRE stated in the core finance interview 15 th of Dec that a divi is ontbd cards same as last year. that was done on the 15th of Feb last year so I would expect the same if not a value creating deal win win imho
