Update on the 15th Sept. Let's hope they say something positive to push the SP up
Ophr flat other oilies up, must keep telling myself we are gas.
yes i wonder what happened to Wobbly. wish in all fairness i had got rid of this.. rather pot committed now. Encouraged by this uptick today. I really thought it would sell off today so i think it is telling we are into positive territory with reasonable volume. This stock seems to uncorrelated to just about everything (include POO and NG!) so i hope this is due to pending news. Need this back over a quid sharpish! Have a good w/e too,
I remember you from those days, wobbly to, we should have sold when smdr was £1.50, this would need to get to £5 to equal that, we had enough chances, hindsight is a great thing, I'm not so greedy these days, anyway we are where we are and this looks like it's turning blue, have a good weekend.
Volume high again today,edging up
virtually an identical story here.. this thing is a classic down trend. It would seem without some positive news it will drift aimlessly down. I am hoping with all the potential some announcements pre results would get this thing started.
Someone was desperate to get out this morning some chunky consecutive sells indicates someone offloading chunks of their shares?
All yesterday's gains given back this morning, sometimes wish I'd never heard of this thing, came in through the back door with Salamander when this was around £3, then it halved in price when a major investor sold due to personal reasons, I then bought more at £1.40 thought that was a no brainer, then it halved again, bought more at 75p then fell to 65p bought yet again, I have a average of around £1.20, not one of my better investments, bottom drawer getting full.
Yes let's hope so, been pretty dire for longer than I.can remember.
The market is waking up to this one, worth more I think, well positioned for any upturn in the energy sector.
lets hope this is not another spike and gos back down to the 60s
If ever a share has been hard work then this must be one of them.
Quite tempted to buy some more after all this positive feedback . I expected a lot of frustrated holders ready to give up but seems the feeling is maybe the corner has been turned and this should rise from here. My biggest holding is shell so maybe switch a bit from there. Only other area I'm keen on is silver , watch that fly in the next few years , hoc in particular.
Just bought a load because Ophir is trading at a big discount to its assets. It will turn at some point and it has a lot of catching up to do. The price of oil wont stay this low for ever and can't fall any further. It has always rebounded in the past. These shares are bought cheaply at the moment and should do well in the near future. Good luck all.
I am holding until next summer looking for £2 a share
I am holding tight until mid sept and hopefully it's looking rather bullish at the moment
It's been a good few days ticking up here, hopefully investors are starting to take note here, it's certainly less stressful holding here than PMO andTLW with their debt piles. Hopefully when the energy sector picks up, this company SP will fly compared to those two. We just need a partner confirmed for Fortuna project, maybe SHELL will be interested?
great assets but need to get them to work 4 the company, many energy stocks not doing well, firmly believe this will come good at some time, many large brokers are becoming more bullish on this stock,
This has been pretty much my worst performing oil stock this year , and I still can't really understand why. The share hub article pretty much echoes my thoughts ... Undervalued and very much unloved for a long time now. I am hoping the company can come out with some positive news that gets it back on the radar otherwise I am calling it a day and joining the herd in the likes of Hur, Pmo and Tlw. The value seems to be there so maybe it will take a bid to realise this, but if this is the case why has it not already happened? Is the board of this company really so awful that they cannot persuade investors to climb onboard? Very frustrated (as must be the management ) when you could have picked almost any oil stock at random this year and made very good returns yet this dog continues to die a slow death.
Inventories tonight/tomorrow so I guess people don't want to hold until announced.
Why all the sells average broker ratings 90p+ leading upto the 15th sept
Would say this is hugest influenced by oil prices, huge volumes again today
Wrong...AGAIN!
very interesting article regarding ophir. if you go to thesharehub.com and enter ophir energy and click on the article it tells you how undervalued this company is. it says that if we sold our last 20% stake in the tanzania project for 750 million dollars that would more then cover current market cap and thats not taking into account all the 100's of millions cash we have plus all our other assets. very interesting article well worth a read for any ophir shareholders
notice many of the large brokers r becoming more bullish on this stock many of them upping there targets, barclays having recently upped there target, lets hope we can move much higher with the share price now
