looks tempting at current price but feel that low 180s possible and if so will get in for a decent bit of profit TLWilliams your buy today looks like a £1200 loss at present best of luck all.
Bought today at 192. The Bears are still having fun today but I would imagine they won't he around too long. All this over one cabinet member, it really does look rather extreme and I can see this going North of 210 again once the politics calms down.
I bought in excess of 20000 shares earlier today at an inclusive cost of GBX 196.25. Hopefully, I will have caught the bottom of the current fall, but one never knows - especially as the unstable currency in South Africa seems to be having such a pronounced effect? I look forward to monitoring the share price over the coming days and weeks, and hope for an eventual profit on my investment.
Probably would buy and let it run a couple of days tbh, it's going to bounce 5%+ at some point next week (not necessarily all at once).
Sold earlier for small gain but tempted to get in again for a second time today. 1.98, the price is way too good if it hits again
This looks like the bull trade equivalent of an open goal....
Thought I caught it at the bottom with 2.014, seems not. My fibonacci charting puts 1.98/1.99 as the key area of resistance, it has held well. Bounce? Yes please at these levels.
Both in the rand and OML? Bounce opportunity...
Still climbing.
Steady rise in the SP since Nov. but how long and high will it climb, any guesses.
its dead in here just brought some OML shares
Lot of people from my neck of the wood think Slim Jim Baxter, star of home international games, was the greatest footballer who ever lived. I'm aiming to live a wee bit longer than him but don't thing he would have been into the green tea or the white tea - probably not even the black tea come to think of it . Goodnight and good luck here.
Ah well Jim you have the interim ex divi date coming up so a bit of income to look forward to to eke out the pension. Think a lot of the folk on the bp bb were advanced in years like Maloo. Bonz 1957 will be 60 next year. One of my knees has been a bit funny after doing jumping jacks on land so I ams switching to the water. I'm a bit like Sally Gunnell, the hurdler, (50 on 29th July I think she was) and have started just using my lead leg for bending when coming downstairs and the like but I am okay climbing up them for the time being. atb
Hi Queenie, thanks for your response. I'm not the old grumpy one you refer to but will be 82 next month and stil with a sense of humour despite having a new shoulder and hip this year. I fully recommend having these done if you are ever referred. My grand I reinvested in this share when the sp dropped. Don't expect anything much to get excited about.
Mind you it was a few years ago now so probably crossed by now.
Tried a couple of times with oml over the years and, whilst it hasn't made me a grand like slimjim1 on tiny sums investments, it has turned a small profit for me and a divi but probably no divi this year alas for me as I see my shares have been sold for me today while I was out. There has never been much relevant chatter on here. Seem to remember a oap on the bp bb with a name like jim lad or it might have been slim jim without the one come to think of it and a right old grumpy fella he was as I recall. Mind you better without the chatter on a bb sometimes especially if it is one of those contrived threads bp used to have about when the ex divi date was and who would qualify. I blame netley myself but there could have been others. Anyhow cheers for today you are among the top risers.
Thanks in anticipation.
Don't get much chat on here, can anyone give me any idea what might happen in the future. Please no comments like DYOR. I made myself a grand before it started to drop. Still holding 2k.
Getting there :-) BTW I am looking for 250p here Medium term :-)
lol
Apologies for board hopping but- The petition is going quite well; ~5100 signatures so far. Although it really needs a turbo boost. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/112044/sponsors/frRbCOsOLO6QqIN82UOX This petition was stalled in parliament since 12th Aug 15; finally green lit on 12th feb 2016. The FCA don't even reply on the matter, now is your chance to have your say. If you hate seeing buys reported as sells etc!!!!!! Has already been sent to Martin Lewis, Daily Mail, Moneyweek & Watchdog. My local MP supported this petition by writing to the petitions committee to help un-stall it. There’s 650 MP’s in Westminster, So have you written to your MP? 649 to go! If this petition doesn’t reach 10,000; then imo we might as well have not bothered as it will almost certainly be filed B1N; @ 10,000 the government should respond. We are currently getting approx. 100 new signatures a week, but need 3x that amount to reach the target with only 15 weeks to go. So – If you haven’t yet signed or indeed have but haven’t passed it on to others, then now’s the time to do so. If each person who has signed can get just one other person to sign then we will double the total immediately. I have posted to all aim listed gas n oilies, currently doing the footsy 100. But I can only do so much to push this. Really need you guys & gals to help. Thanks to all who have signed so far. We really need a social / media savvy individual to help generate more interest in this.
beginning to wonder when, traders are buying in and selling quickly not allowing any increase so stagnation seems to be the name of the game! Are you having any better luck?
No keep it to lucky. ... your luck will change ☺
Aaah there you are, I did think about changing my name...I seem to be the kiss of death on every SP I pick. Glencore is another where I am having to long it out. I think if I'm lucky I might break even before I retire on both Tesco and Glencore. OML is just one you sit back and watch moving side to side depending upon how it feels and whether the market has chosen to forget about it for a day or two.
Maybe you should change your name to UN-LUCKYLIZ :-) Saying that the last few days Tescos has moved in the right direction :-)
