But it's OK, we did invent the hovercraft. I think.
....indeed. Antibodies live in your blood, and in this case, the virus lives in your nasal/mouth/lung tubes. Of course you can get viruses that live in (attack) blood, so e.g. an ebola test would be a blood test (till it gets really bad then ebola is in your spit, but that's another story...).
All the blood tests are antibody. Not possible to test for antigen with a serology Test.
PDMSPIper,
Thanks for the interview link. Excellent watch and also confirms we are not the only country with a bumbling Slow Government with a solution right in front of them and they just don’t see it. (Even though they put the consortium together to develop this test. Baffling, or just bumbling)
......into increased production.
Omega are building into a large mid cap company and this is the launchpad. Just the beginning.
They will have the capacity to produce 1M per day in the future.
They are already looking at another manufacturing facility near Dundee.
I’d expect coming profits to be reinvested into inc
Very interesting video interview. Well worth a watch. No need to sign in or anything.
These rapid tests are going to be massive. Huge global market. ODX can't even scratch the surface with full production capacity. Lots of room for multiple players.
Interesting developments for those testing neg for antibodies....

Sorry got the pos and negs mixed up. It should read...
“It’s clearly a rapid antibody LF serology Test but it’s being promoted as a “Covid Test” saying anybody who tests negative is “not a carrier” and is clear to go back to work if they test negative for antibodies”
Just watched the whole video with this Hough Test. Very interesting.
It’s clearly a rapid antibody LF serology Test but it’s being promoted as a “Covid Test” saying anybody who tests positive is “not a carrier” and is clear to go back to work if they test negative for antibodies. Hough is saying people should be having the test every Monday and they are clear to work if negative.
This is an interesting development in the way things are moving.
Everybody was thinking people testing positive for antibodies would be the ones cleared to carry on as normal but Hough is taking the inverse position. An interesting development and will be watching this closely to see how it is used in future.
It seems ....
Negative Antibody Test = Negative Antigen and clear of Covid.
Likely more expensive and less accurate than RTC test.
Demand also isn’t a worry. In perspective 1,300,000,000 in India alone. Would take almost 4 years producing 1million tests per day.
Maybe this is why we are not going up. Seems to be the same as odx
At-home COVID-19 test yields results in under ten minutes
06/08/2020|10min
CEO of Hough Pharma Greg Hough has given an example of his at-home COVID-19 test kit which yields results within ten minutes at a 98 per cent accuracy rate. The testing kit was developed at Yale University and is approved in America and Europe, Mr Hough says they can produce 1,000,000 tests a day at a cost of roughly $8-10 apiece. Sky News host Andrew Bolt says this test would make an enormous difference in Australia as some are waiting up to ten days for test results in Victoria while other parts of Australia are waiting a few days. Mr Hough got in touch with the Victorian government and the health department, but was told he would not get a response to his enquiry for eight to ten weeks. “Testing is the only way that we are going to get this virus under control,” Mr Hough said. “With these tests we can open up the world.”
