Any ideas on the poor recent performance. I suppose buys when IC provides a write up and then back down a few months afterwards
£15k buy - nice one.
in here too eh? Nice rns - NAV per share (unaudited) expected to be in the range of £2.33 - £2.35, representing an increase of at least 16% on December 2015 (£2.00) just a bit higher than current price then!?
huge volumes mr blueday
Another strong day for OCL
Yep and another big director buy yesterday at 164.5p. 61k of shares bod are confident
saw 3 of those big buys flying thro the cnbc ticker, before the close.
Very quiet on this board. Rising nicely after going ex dividend and a lot of large delayed buys continuing. Maybe more director buys?
Just read the report on IC. Nice to see it moving north today some healthy buys despite some delayed sells. Obviously a fair few people are happy to buy in here today before it goes ex dividend tomorrow. 4.5p a share is not bad. Over 2% for the interim period and still heavily discounted to NAV. Looking at 190p by July
Quite a big discount to Nav also. Now pays good dividend
Now with dividends being paid and big director buys 2017 promises to be a big year. Bought some more today at 161p. Goes ex dividend tomorrow. 4.5p a share. Great company off the radar it seems
I don't buy IC so thanks for this, the usual uptick today. I have had this on my watch list and bought last week at 149 after the large director buys, this was such a large buy it couldn't be ignored. Even without NAV increasing a narrowing of the discount provides an uplift.
Extremely detailed and positive write up of OCL today explaining why the overly wide discount to nav should narrow shortly. Hope ST is correct in his reasoning.
Given Peter Dubens long term involvement - he is the founder - his purchases these last few days have to be seen as a very positive endorsement.
Ned purchased £1.6m shares, trading on a substantial discount to net tangible assets.
All looks a bit odd. Will be interesting to see if they are correctly coded as buys/sales.
some huge trades since yesterday.?
NAV now lifted to 225p.
.......against an sp of 144p. Looks, to me, like a good entry point.
RNS today-sale of holding adds 10p to asset values in this Private Equity holding company. Oakley has been tipped in IC and is followed by Simon Thompson. As he points out their holdings are worth substantailly more than share price ( share price 142p v holdings worth about 230p) A rerating of the share is due once investors cotton on to the value here. It already has a strong record of value generation and discount to share price is out of kilter. Even todays RNS about 10p increase in value has only shifted share price by 4.5p In my view an easy 25 % in a few weeks with no downside.
And invesco taking a large proportion of the recent placing. Great news, must have confidence in the future of this company.
NAV of 200p a share. Deserves a rerate.
But do we know if he is running a fund for Oakley. It still seems to be a mystery!
According to an Oakley rns his new Equity Income fund has taken a 11.5% size chunk of this company . Obviously feels the discount is too high. Surprised it didn't have more of an effect on the SP unless it was previously held by his old fund and it was just transferred across?
Does anyone know whether Neil Woodford took up the managing of a fund for these people as mooted. Can find nothing about him on their website. They seem to be domiciled in Bermuda!
