It is a hard one to call mate ,my average is 240p ,Ive made money back elsewhere so Im leaving this until it goes north could be up to a year until this sp improves and I sell without loosing cash . If you dont need the money yet leave it has I think it will rise slowly ,after last RNS in profit so they are doing something positive
Hi mate, I have been trying to find out fate of NTG as I have got badly stuck with this one for a while. I purchased since it started going down from 260p downwards. Any suggestion if one should try to avaerage it otherwise I would leave it to come up whenever. I would appreciate your comments.
This company trades very well and is the best national van rental business in the uk - highly underrated
This company is do better than a lot of people think.
Was also in before consolidation, and would love to see a return in the next year or so! Nice to see a slow but steady climb north! GLA
In profit debt reducing markets up ,SP doesnt seem to be rising ,been in before consolidation, long term will offload when SP hits £3 could be a year or 2
this is my first post here, I have had some of these Shares for a few years now! I bought in at 12p before the consolidation and I have topped up at 2.00 and 1.54........I seem to have had some luck along the way with this one!On wards and upwards I say...:-)
Starting to climb back up, long way to break even for me, i think late 2011 to 2012 will be the time to sell these.
Northgate's expected share price after the rights issue is 242.2p, so even allowing for dilution, the current price is a long way from fully taking account of the size of the new company. Not for the timid or those of limited means, but for members of the Cowdery fan club, the shares look worth having, recommends the Times
Thanks mike. feel much better now.
ps;you will get your 2.20 and much more just a matter of time depending euro zone etc but put it this way what ever interest you will get in a bank you will do much better here.as i have stated before patience is key.look at w.buff when he buys shares his attiude is he buys them for life re invest divi etc and he hasnt done badly.gl with all your investments and dont worry to much about day to day movements.
as i thought looking forward to the future with this one the mangement seem to be on the ball hopefully 1.52 was bottom on this and once they start paying a divi again this will fly.gla.

Northgate back in profit Wed, 30th Jun 2010 07:54 Car and van renter Northgate has returned to profit after the huge write-downs that nearly sank the company last year, but ruled out a dividend in view of the economic uncertainty in both its main markets. "The company is facing difficult economic conditions in both the UK and Spain. There will be major government cutbacks which will reduce demand for some vehicle units, but our flexible model may well prove attractive to customers who struggle to raise the capital for outright purchase or do not wish to commit to long-term lease or contract hire," it said. The group made £9.6m in the year to April against losses of £195.6m. Operating profit increased by 15.4% to £82.8m (2009 - £71.8m), while underlying profit before tax increased by 32.8% to £36.5m. Revenues were £749m against £770m. Average utilisation in the year came in at 91% in the UK (2009 - 88%) and 88% in Spain (2009 - 83%). Northgate benefited from strong used vehicle markets in both the UK and Spain. Its fleet sizes at the end of the year were 60,900 in the UK (2009 - 62,900) and 48,900 in Spain (2009 - 60,400). During the year net debt reduced by £288m to £598m, helped a £77m rights issue. "Since the refinancing last year, we have met substantially all of our targets. Going forward, we will concentrate on doing simple things very well. We will complete the UK restructuring. Our aim is 90% utilisation and if we need to further reduce the fleet so be it. Maximising returns and charging fully for ancillary services will be our prime target," it added.
whats results saying
I hope that you are right. I had been kept buying every time it went down. And now I am sitting with an average of 220. Don’t know when I will get my money back. The company is really good but don’t understand why the share price is keep going down.
