I make it underlying / adjusted EPS of 11.3p vs 11.2p in the previous year ... so I think the acquisition of H Peel is currently just about proving to be earnings enhancing despite the 461,538 shares issued (nominally) at 82p ish in part consideration for it, and despite the dilution arising from the exercising of some staff options at much lower prices.
They give adjusted EPS at 12.5p for the year and their calculations are given in note 3 to the accounts. The profit figure they get is circa £200k higher than mine and they divide it by 18.27 million shares instead of the 18.5 million I used. According to the rns dated 12 April this year there are now 18,511,722 shares in existence and a further 369,540 in treasury.
Cash flow per share (excluding changes in inventories) I get at 18.7p vs 15.6p a year previously, using 18.5 million shares for both years.
I think there is a 4p a year drag on cash flow per share that will persist for another year or so due to the earn out arrangements, it could be more if H Peel meet the criteria triggering contingent extra consideration for the acquisition... once this is out of the way underlying EPS could improve by 3p or more?
Net debt stands at 8.6p a share according to my calcs and includes 5p of earn out costs to H Peel (deferred consideration).
Limit order (expiring 29/6/18) set to sell 5k @ 84p
Hi Lemmink. Yes the puns ae irresisttible. Worth it alone to hold these. I will sell my holdings on a name change :0 North of a pound? I honestly think we can get there. A progressive divi is the lure and the headline but the value is that we have had quite a few consecutive quarters where no shocks or downgrades have emerged.. This is a recovery play underpinned by a good divi. I saw on the other board that 150p achievable OVER TIME with NTBR and each update gives me more confidence that we can make that figure and more. I can't understand why it gets sold down but I do know I will be buying more at the potntial here is really good.
Hi, still at it with the bear puns I see ;-)... agree worth over a pound ... might get there this year??
Good rise
It looks like you are finding holding these through the rise unbearable Lemmink. Admittedly as an investor it is hard to get your bearings as this one flounces around between statements. I might be getting quite teddyous about it but I have to repeat this is worth NORTH of a pound.
Sold 15k @ 82.3p ish ... holding 175k
paws on this one. Excellent yield and the market is stll not up with events. The progressive seems to be well cub-berred by the profit it is generating. The biggest bugbear is the weather which can interrupt its operations but now we are mid summer it shouldn't be an issue. The bear is looking rather cuddly today.
Sold 5k @ just over 78p ... holding 190k ... happy to watch for a bit
Sold 5k @ 77.1p ... holding 195k ... not that liquid ...
Similar in wording to last years ... looks good
Looking forward to a trading update this week should be interesting to see how the business has performed with the addition of H Peel and Sons.
Bought 5k @ 71p ish ... holding 200k
Bought 10k @ 71.9p ... holding 195k ... hello Jolly
v odd price...but not rushing to build given the Bear's historic tendency to drift in longish drunken sulks
5k @ 71.7p... holding 185k ... v quiet here
Trade war fears affecting everything ... lol is this his fault?? !!
Bought 10k @ 70p ... holding 180k ... why is it dropping?
Bought 10k @ 74.9p ... holding 170k ... had some bad weather, does it matter?
There is true price discubbery today and even though I have a share cert that says pay to the bearer, I really think this one is roaringly undervalued!
Sold 10k@ 78.01p ... holding 160k ... nice trading update v reassuring:-)
In your dreams :) Strong update today which has made a nonsene of charts and trends. Bought my third lot today as I believe this is going over 100p. With the strong trading we may get a special divi. The yield is icing on the cake for a strongly performing share. As I said before the cold weather threat subsides as we move through the year and I am sure we will be 100p+ by end of March time.
