napster ceo speaking at this eventhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/digital-entertainment-world-2023-tickets-464809697317 haven't checked the details yet and whether i can access it,but perhaps it will give some news.
Thanks KOK. But my previous attempts at Telegram were pretty much the same as Italian's.
Are you saying it's even more of a shambles than it was before de-listing?
KOK,appreciate the suggestion, thanks.unfortunately my last attempt to join the telegram group ended in abject failure, due to my total ineptitude in all matters technological and IT related. so i'm going to have to pass and rely on whatever news i can garner from other sources. glad to hear that you are getting some form of updates from those sources though.
Albert / Italian, you should join us on our Twitter and Telegram private groups those are the only place you will see any decent updates these days regarding this shambles!
whilst there will be no formal news on here,i always check on here pretty much every day in case someone posts some news.i also search google most days for napster news, algorand news and napster token news. if your shares are on a platform you my hear from that, but almost certainly any news will come first from someone seeing it on one of the news searches I've mentioned. the original news about napster being acquired by the algorand consortium was first mentioned on twitter i think ,so i also check twitter for relevant news. if we get to the 31st march with no news i shall email the US transfer agent to see what is happening.also if you go on to the napster website i think you can sign up for news of developments on the new app. i did it a while ago, although I've not heard anything from them direct as yet.
How do we get info now regarding RNS etc and news on next payout? I used to get all updates through here but Naps is no longer!? Is that right?
Morning Italian
They will have to give us news by end March because we'll need to know how we stand.
Of course, they could just finalise things by paying us the remaining (larger) instalment and that will be that.
Somehow though, I would rather stay on for the ride for another 24-36 months or whatever it takes. Considering how long we've been involved already that doesn't seem a great deal more.
Anyway, if I don't talk to you before Dec 25, have a good one, and then we'll see what the new year brings.
Same to everyone else still holding their investment .
evening Albert.hope you are well. agreed .probably a tad too early for news or promotion just yet.hoping for something early in the new year.have a very good christmas and new year.gla
A non-committal balanced article Italian which concludes that the writer of it doesn't really know how it will go.
My thoughts are that crypto, NFTs and the like have gone too far to turn back. There is a lot of pent-up interest to become involved, but also a lot of nervousness. Some solid regulations will help. If any good has come out of the recent FTX fiasco it is that these are likely to be speeded up. Algorand have said they were virtually unaffected by FTX.
I watched most of the football. Crypto.com kept popping up on the pitch adverts. This seems to be just a general trading platform and i couldn't see anything specific to $napster tokens. Maybe it's not optimum time for too much PR yet anyway
glad to hear you've received the first payment at last,28. on the issue of progress in general, the last news was,i think, the ceo's podcast on 14th october.whilst i certainly haven't been expecting news every few days,i'm conscious that time is moving on towards the 31st march,so would expect some news, perhaps by way of advance publicity ,in january. although the price of algos has plummeted, apparently, over the last year or so, they have had good news in last few days from a link up with the italian govt regarding bond insurance. hopefully their plans for the napster token have not been impacted too adversely by the macro of the last few months. does anyone on here actually subscribe to napster, (i don't) as wondering if any promotional activity on the app itself? just in case anyone is interested in algorand generally here is an article from a few days ago.i think part of it was written earlier, as the reference to the world cup seems a little outdated and from other articles I've read, the world cup involvement hasn't been as successful as hoped,so the italian news is probably very welcome from their perspective.https://ambcrypto.com/algorand-algo-price-prediction-12/
To give holders who haven’t received any payment yet some positive hope…….By surprise, I just received yesterday (16 Dec) the first stage payment into my offshore based trading account (Swissquote). This was unsolicited as I had yet to start chasing them (Had been planning to do so in the upcoming Christmas holiday break) so It shows there can be progress happening behind the scenes, even after many months have passed since others received their payment.
GLA
hi just read those posts you mentioned , ill have to contact lloyds my self and see how it goes thanks
Wall, unfortunately I'm also still waiting on first payment. I'm with CS, but they say BNB UK is the problem (I guess BNP UK is the holder of record of the NM Inc shares).
wall, have a look back at some of the posts from 3rd and 4th october. you will see some lloyds holders mentioning receiving payments..not with lloyds personally though.
Hi does any one trade with Lloyds bank ?? if so have you had any payments ?? all iv got on my account now is 100% loss
That was a long time! crazy that they held it for that long. So, the next payments, are these guaranteed now, or can anything change? going by the comments below we should receive roughly the same again in the next 3 payments as some less than this time.
Yesterday, I received the first payment (Interactive Brokers)
That is Credit Suisse.
Flits, what is the name of your broker ? I am still waiting too (with IBKR- Interactive Brokers)
does anyone know how to get the corporate action documents? Still waiting on the first payment...
Just to add to this; reading back on this board it looks as if the offer the acquire was made around 25 February and went unconditional at 30 March 2022. The payments for steps 2, 3 and 4 all fall due on the one year anniversary which would be 30 March 2023. Though if the Algorand crypto are issued before this date we would receive step 4 in kind at that time.
On the Halifax approach the receipt of corporate notice is itself a confirmation of holding even though they have wiped the shareholding from the board. within that corporate notice there was the assurance that this would not affect entitlement though unfortunately by using the verb “effect” rather than “affect” they appear to convey the opposite. A session on the chat line confirmed this though they did not seem to understand the finer points of English grammar!
morning HM.have a look at Glenstars post on 6th october. he sets out the figures which i think are correct.the next two payments are going to be much smaller than the first one and we don't know (and won't know until after the event) how much is going to be deducted to meet the contingencies against which the funds have been reserved,so could be very small in actuality. the final payment (which will only be made apparently if they don't launch the crypto by end of march) should be a bit higher than the one we have had.just a caveat,in that i have not been provided with a full transcript of the actual deal terms, just second hand through brokers,so although I've been told there will be no final payment if they lunch the crypto,I've not seen the precise wording of the takeover documents giving chapter and verse. that may be something we need to look into further if it becomes an issue.
odd that your holding details have been removed completely. if it were me i ould give them a ring to clarify.
Hi everyone,
Italian, a great presentation. Was great to see what the outlook and vision looks like for Napster.
I hope everyone has now received their first payments.
So that everything is now clear for all holders of existing shares, can someone with analytical knowledge please provide a clear breakdown of what holders can expect from the 2nd third and final payments pence price/per held share for each instalment? This seems to be tricky to understand.
I noticed that Lloyds/Halifax has removed my holding details from the share dealing platform, this seems in-necessary, and is a little alarming seeing as though they aswell as other brokers should still be accountable for making additional payments to shareholders? Would anyone else agree? And any ideas why they would do this?
Thanks for your replies.
afternoon albert.yes, thought it was a confident and informative performance.no manic eye rolling for him! lol .the distinction he drew between the napster vision and spotify and deezer was,as you say, quite revealing.looks like napster is aiming be very much its own man with a unique offering. let us hope we are able to participate, albeit probably in a very small way, in the journey.
Nice one Italian
It keeps us UTD on our progress. A confident pitch from someone who knows the music business and has got his head around the Algorand tech far better than I can. I didn't realise that Jon V was English but it's something that will likely add extra cred, British music (generally) being the best in the wprld
They don't mean to hang about either. This starts now, with a bigger roll out in 2023. A "multi billion business in the short term."
I had thought they might have planned a NASDAQ spin-off of Napster, but his mention of Deezer and Spotify would signal otherwise. In fact the latter have veered towards podcasts to make more money for shareholders, to the point where they were prepared to upset the artists. Any 'competition' between Napster and Spotify is becoming less significant
Artists themselves have long been demanding a better deal from streaming. Now they have their chance of getting it.
