Aleandra Palace partnered for up and coming concerts Music/theatre . for at least another year due to coronavirus
starting drive in opera shows in September that can only hold 300 cars , all performers off Furlough so ally needing more money to pay these luvies / Artists .
agreed Sc4tman.absolutely vital that they keep up the momentum once it starts to move.i posted a few days ago that hopefully whatever events they had lined up pre covid (and it seems there were clearly some) may include at least some which will allow for reproduction in some post covid form analogous to wireless.
I think the more significant question is what will they do after wireless? If they go in to yet another period of silence we’ll be straight back to where we are now.
Or will they follow it up with something else that’s new that continues the momentum of what will hopefully be a successful wireless and kick on to the next level of their development otherwise those people new to the platform will have nothing new to keep them coming back.

Facebook, Googlemaps, Snapshat, Google, Spotify, Whatsapp and many others free. Melody are following a very tried, tested and succesful route to grow the business; Nikki Lambert did come from Spotify after all.
Spotify IS free to millions of people for the reasons I posted
Melody are doing this free for the same reasons I posted and for the same reason Spotify does. (and its not for a gesture of goodwill)
Albert.
Free content increases user engagement and volume. These two elements alone in the infancy of any service, like Spotify, Melody are critical. Spotify suffered losses in their early years but look what happened.
With free content. Name and branding becomes visible to more.
The more 'awareness' we have, the greater the worth of advertisement and sponsorship to Melody?
It took Spotify years to become a household name. Just because Melody 'may' be adopting a similar model, it does not mean it will achieve the goals any sooner but nonetheless, it's moving in the right direction.
Circa. 1 million You Tube views over 30 days... Whats not to like about that...
No I don't think spotify would Petebo, but I think Melody would.
Otherwise, why didn't they monetise it?
Albert, its far from a 'Goodwill gesture'
At this point in building the business its all about creating awareness and getting new users onto the app that can be monetised later by direct sales or advertising revenue.
Do you think Spotify still offer their services free 'as a goodwill gesture?'
Very little revenue, and it won't change for 2019. They've only dribbled out the back catalogue, and they haven't even started to monetise the live stuff.. That's why the share price is where it is. It's pretty much how any other share price would perform.
Doing Wireless for free is a huge goodwill gesture on Melody's part . IMO. There's nothing to prove - they did it last year. It is a huge 'help-out' for Live Nation though, who otherwise wouldn't be able to get the gig on at all, in any way, shape, or form. I had thought any take out would most likely involve Facebook, but a big 'thank you' of some sort from LN. Who knows?
You have to remember that much of the quoted £1.8M revenue from the previous year was in fact contributions from Facebook for technical work. There is an RNS on this subject that you can find, although it doesn't give the actual amount paid by FB if you look at the timeline and consider what was actually available via the app then the only realistic conclusion that you can draw is that almost all of the £1.8M came from FB.
To my knowledge (always happy to be corrected) the revenue figures in this years numbers will only include actual sales revenue, such as it might be.
as the accounts will only go up to 31st dec i would be astonished if they will show much in the way of revenue.im not expecting much and won't be disappointed, as they are still in very early growth stage.after date information or guidance, if any, will probably be more interesting, particularly if we are given any recent figures ,although again im not really expecting to be given anything very precise or detailed. i really do think we are still at a very early stage and expectations have to tempered.someone asked a day or two ago why we got to 18p and then fell back.for me the answer is very simple.ludicrously over optimistic expectations and hype pushed us to 18p on the launch.at that time we were in our earliest infancy. some recorded content yes, but a barely developed app and no publicity or social traction. iwas in when we hit the peak with an average of about 9.2p (i'd spent a long and uncomfortable time down in the 6ps if i recall although i haven't checked).i sold up entirely at about 17.6p and didn't reinvest until the O2 development, which for me demonstrated that the necessary social traction was starting .the figures given to day for youtube ,whilst not mind blowing in themselves, confirm this imo.i expect to see 18p again at some point.just my opinion. other opinions are available.
You reckon they'll have something good to show? I just hope the revenue side has ticked up somewhat I think their last two yrs figures were something like
2 years ago £6 million cost £0 revenue
Last year £11 million cost £1.8million revenue (i think don't hold me to it)
I hope with the very much increased activity (but still not enough IMO) their revenue has ticked up considerably which you would imagine if the Good Morning America stuff, O2 and festival work.
If they're somehow creating more revenue than costs than WOW we could see something huge in terms of that share price ticking up because that shows this thing is gaining some serious traction.
I love this company and the potential is huge NextVR being bought by Apple proved my point entirely.
I just hope they stop with the headset they're trying to produce. I've said it before and I'll say it again i think its a huge money drain and waste of time and resource.
Consider this, Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, Playstation, Lenovo, Oculous, Nintendo all, if they wanted to, could go about producing a £40 £80 £100 headset. Why don't they?
Cost to research and produce for those big titans? Compare that to the R&D budget of tiny minnow MVR! Why are we bothering? I just can't comprehend that part, that's the bit that worries me.
I still think this is a very strong buy especially at these prices and I'm heavily invested but I just feel they could be more focused.
