Soros /georgesoros. Icm domains. Lol
Is he having a change of career?
This company is like the proverbial watched pot that never boils. Patience of a saint required
You would have to go back to May 2018 to see the last time we were at 10p. I'm rather hopeful by May 2020 we will be back in double digits - with the business commencing semi annual dividends following its full year 2019 results. SB
and 8-9-10p..
We do seem to have settled into a new trading range - not what we wanted in overall terms - but gradually moving away from the year lows and now testing the year high of 6.65p - lets hope we can push on from here and get a decent price before xmas - although in all reality decent would have to be 10p+ so not much chance of that at the moment. The question is will there an update before then or will we have to wait until January. Another great day for registrations - must be nudging 2.4m with a relatively limited number of deletes. SB
not a chance of me getting carried away Tap. I reckon total will be below 1000 at end of December anyway.
yes, very risky indeed, hence the low price. What is MMX slice of the cake for Adultblock. Is it around £200 normal and £450 for Adultblock+, or am I miles out?
A super risky acquisition IMHO. Zero recurring revenue. this article sums it up well. Almost all cash too...
https://domainnamewire.com/2019/11/18/centralnics-gutsy-acquisition-will-transform-the-company/
not one I would have backed for MMX to take for sure.... stick with the predictable annuity type.
yes doesn't need many Adultblocks at those numbers to give jus a year end boost. Fingers crossed all the way.
if Adultblock sales are indeed very good, I hope they don't wait until Jan to tell us. It will help sentiment to get news out asap even in small doses rather then leave it to do all in one imo. When there is a lot of detail in an rns some good bits get lost I'm afraid and it doesn't have the same impact. For eg I would rather see four or five bits of good news Rns's announced than 'save' it all for one. AIMO of course..
Adultblock sales ?? depends what TH definition of 'very well' is. Will it be in the 1000's or 100's?
the ceo said it's the best value deal they have done so far..
not quite sure of the rules but to trigger an rns it would need to be +/- 10% I think..
CNIN certainly know how to acquire businesses. What was slightly alarming was the earning's multiple based on EBITDA - less than 5 - and the additional bond debt which will be raised to fund the transaction - point to note is whether the interest level is at a higher level that the EURIBOR + 7% for the previous tranche. Different type of business i guess. What was interesting was the revenue per employee - $1.6m pa. Interesting metric.
Currently about 200 adult domain deletes planned (not incl .xxx) - bearing in mind SJL's comments about the anticipated high levels of renewals bringing in lots of cash this time of year. If adultblock can deliver some meaningful numbers to push us above above market expectations (Revenue $18M+, EBITDA $6m+) - an update would seem to be in order. SB
on the acquisition trail again.. sp well up and they reckon they are trading at the top end of expectations..Wonder if we will get similar rns about trade before year end??
Just dont like this hanging about at 6.5p.
3rd time this year. Mid March, end of May, now.
Needs to clear it once and for all.
A bogeyman price.
It’s been the best week in a long time. We added a bit and held onto it - no real volume to speak of - and we are continuing growth in most of our domains. All the signs are positive. Let’s hope we have a strong finish to the year and beat our targets and start to deliver the returns we are all looking for. SB
adds 28k today... Total reg's now 2.3m+,, not too shabby!
he wasn't trying to ''light up Finncrap'' was he? What's your point?
Probably waiting for you to exit Dandee before it rockets.
Abry, donuts, .org, Ex-ICANN Board members - all appear to be linked in the two big deals in the US this year so far - with a suspicion that Abry's money is behind both deals. The deals are huge - likely more than $1b collectively to acquire donuts and .org - one direct by Abry and the other a separate although possibly linked PE vehicle. Interesting that .org was recently rebranded as well. Earlier this year we appointed Daniel Schindler (one of Donuts co-founders) - maybe this was more about understanding US investor appetite than selling some premium domains? Looks like there is lots of debate on price rises - not only in relation to .org and .com there was a feeling we could increase pricing in our adult domains without impacting on sales/renewals - this is likely an area of focus for PE acquirers in addition to stripping out costs and economies of scale. SB
Good spot ram - by my reckoning we have now sold 6 single number vip domains. If Glasshalful's comments were accurate in relation to adultblock, it does beg the question - what does very good look like in terms of numbers?! If we were able to sell into the early 1000's on an annual basis - that's great revenue. I think there should be notification of an AGM pre-xmas - perhaps the company will use that to provide a market update? SB
Plus a bunch of premium names going through. The ICM portfolio seems to have reversed the decline.
We must be getting close to an ahead of expectations RNS. One can hope
Hony has over $12Bn under management so 5.42% of MMX is not something they will lose sleep over a no matter what. They do tend to help portfolio companies get into China however.
The end here will likely be a sawherele and the value will out well above where it is capitalised now. Hence, can't understand the negativity amongst some here.
It was screaming buy sub 6p.
It looks like there are several ICANN related heavyweights who are front and centre in the donuts and .org deals - there is clearly a lot of PE money at play in the domains business - with an insinuation the deals are a bit murky and more than likely benefitting from advance notice on policy changes in pricing in relation to the .org deal. Would we care if we were to benefit from a global push to control the domains market......not likely! SB
The reported ,Adultblock "Doing very well" would be great to have RNS 'd or reported in some form, perhaps a revenue figure. Its the kind of news that would greatly add to sentiment.
Well again if u do the math.....for sure they will have paid 15X profits on such an established recurring revenue base with c. 10 million names possibly closer to 20, if our team can pull out $8MM for the year, we had $6+ already "confirmed', with a further minimum of $5MM of costs to strip out to bolt on the MMX TLds.... thats a nett $11-13MM for someone in a roll up situation... put a decent multiple on that and way away we go. thats also said...... there are now 2 major PE buyers out there, Afilias will not be pleased with .org having slipped out of their sights, fewer and few decent size plays left, so the tables turn from the review where clearly no one wanted to touch or only on the super cheap to perhaps several suitors now... As bakky said, no rush now, deliver the results, pay some $$ out and see who comes knocking.... is bound to happen, just when....
