Strange enough, this weeks's Investor Cronical mentions the offer price as 4.60???
I noticed that some investors are still buying Merlin shares. It is difficult to understand why they do so, in view of the fact that takeover price is £4.55 against the current SP £453.30. After paying stamp duty and brokerage there is nothing left to write home about
The Acquisition is currently expected to complete during the fourth quarter of 2019, subject to receipt of the relevant competition clearances and regulatory approvals. An expected timetable of key events relating to the Acquisition will be provided in the Scheme Document.
THE PAYMENT DATE WILL BE WITHIN THE SCHEME DOCUMENT IF YOU FIND IT - IN THE MASSES OF RNS'S
Does anyone have any idea when we’ll get paid for takeover? My initial reading was not until Q4 at earliest - in which case I think I’ll sell now, considering no divi and the money could be used elsewhere...
(Alliance News) - Merlin Entertainments PLC on Tuesday said its acquisition by Motion Acquisition Ltd has been approved by shareholders.
Motion Acquisition is a newly formed company created by joint offerers KIRKBI Invest AS - Lego's founding family - and funds advised by Blackstone Core Equity Advisors LLC and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
The necessary number of independent shareholders voted in favour of the deal at the court meeting and the required majority of Merlin shareholders approved the special resolution to implement the court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement.
The deal values merlin shares at 455 pence each, paid in cash, and its equity at GBP4.77 billion for a GBP5.91 billion implied enterprise value.

????
Is it a done deal? Do we get to vote on it (is there any point)? We normally receive the interim dividend in September. If the takeover goes through, does that mean we won't get the dividend, or will the takeover price be reduced?
atm ARE LOOKING GOOD TO ME
THE CHART LOOKS DOWNSIDE
not exactly ripping up trees.
... and down 6% on that. Coincidentally sold half of my holding yesterday at a small profit (bought at 343) to redeploy elsewhere. Still believe in Merlin but I think we might see further downside again. It's going to be a volatile period anyway with the political uncertainty. I will be adding but not yet. GLA
More upside coming for this share - I am buying in the morning

I bought these way back and bought at 420. Even buying at 343 seems crazy at the momnt, this share is being pummelled
Ditto, I've doubled my holding at 343
Thought the same. Bought some this am at 3.50 guidance remains the same.
Sp fall seems harsh tbh. Growth in Asia, great product and world class delivery excellent management team, and a British company! What’s not to like?
agree
I don't think it's too late for a topup. Considering buying into this strength myself.
Scalextric running share price moving two weeks of sunshine ! All good again. Shame i didn`t top upwhen in the 320s!!
My scalextric stopped running considering lawsuit!
A LAWSUIT really.....lo! It was just an ordinary power cut affecting the whole area...not just Merlin. You have a terrible habit of scaring everybody who owns the same shares as you, with your stories of woe !!!
day tomorrow... hopefully
