The price will only rebound very slightly if Matt does all the talking and Stephen keeps his mouth closed.
Don’t recall ever hearing anything optimistic coming from it. Safe pair of hands and all that.
Please leave with whatever self respect you still have and get someone who the city rates.
Do a startup selling smarties and find out how supply and demand works.
lets hope it continues , still way off my target £6-7 for year end 2022.
GLA LTH
yes one or two have panick sold, but no real big surprises, in fact this set of results he actually gives the AWS deal a mention with growth coming from this later in the year and into 2023, imo this is what the Analysts might probe further?, anyhow im logged in and will have a listen later,
GLA LTH IM Hoping we get a bit of a recovery later when the CFO puts his twopence in?
Drivel is all he will say!
Small reduction in debt from sale and only the sale. Challenging times, wage increases, staff recruitment blah blah..
what he won’t say and should know by now is the impact AWS is/will have. To not have any detail is beyond shocking.
I think the price could rebound after the conf call.
I was unhappy when I first started reading the update but that's before I realised the year end numbers remain unchanged.
If they lead by the fact that everything is on track, then the numbers would not have made me feel as bad as me just reading all the negative numbers at the start of the update.
A lot of people may have just read the first few lines and panic sold.
By the Drop, but in any case have added another 10K worth, just to level out my holding, i wont be throwing the towel in just yet, will see what Stephen has to say, ??
GLA LTH
Ill be honest, i reduced my 110k investment to 49k at 390-400p with a 50p profit and the dividends over 2 years on top.
I just sold my 42k remaining at a small loss and ive got my other 100k invested in other risky stocks with big upside potential and much better dividends.
I plan on holding 42k in cash to see out this coming global downturn and invest in my own startup company.
My luck someone will come buy it now for 6 quid lol!
Finding it’s true value now. Was in the mid £2s prior to the aws partnership announcement. Still waiting on any of that news.. raging!!!
Some as I couldn't resist temptation...
Can't believe this has dropped to under £3 again. Falling knife comes to mind
When opu isn’t harping on about will be £4 soon previously £5 and £6 before. You know it’s pants!
Now it’s as expected.
Board should be paid in shares only. Maybe then fiscal decisions would be made as it would actually have an effect on their salary! Maybe next year our share price will look as good as their gardens which will have been tended to as the company hasn’t.
A perfectly bad investment.... Revenue decline of 11%.... this company is seriously badly run - paid a dividend when its almost $4 billion in debt - maddness!!!!! Strong sell!
"where is anything concerning AWS."?
from the RNS:
"Mainframe modernisation offering continues to deliver strong revenue growth and the launch of the AWS' offering in June 2022 as planned provides further opportunity to accelerate this growth. "
"- Application Modernisation and Connectivity: AWS launched its Mainframe Modernisation offering in June and together we are already enabling customers to accelerate the modernisation of mainframe applications and workloads to the AWS Cloud."
So no impact in the HY results then.
I need a couple of whatever your drinking MarkBell, God knows what 'disappointing' would look to you.
Cancellation of the update the day they were due says all you need to know about this dog! The board have absolutely no regard to anyone except the salary preservation society.
90% reduction in share price.
People tend to forget this was way over £15 when the current ceo took over from his head of operations post. He must have a relative with Gladstone or something.
Too many staff for the t/o and profit realised.
Get the janitor to take over the ceo post. We will at least save over a million dollars and get the same results anyway. P’d off royally
>Intensely disappointing results
None sense. Even on average results with the £ so weak vs $ this will adjust.
Yes. Intensely disappointing results. No wonder the market is punishing MCRO this morning.
The board is genius. 3 year turnaround plan got them kept on when the should have been relieved of their respective duties. All massive salaries and unbelievably, part bonuses paid whilst capital depletion of share holders continues at pace. Keep new cfo, get rid of the rest. Same rubbish regurgitated. Repeat....... where is anything concerning AWS. It would be good if the analysts on the 1.30 call actually asked the hell is going on.“Why are you still employed Stephen?” Should be Q 1
I exited the vast bulk of my Micro Focus shares with a profit of ca 7% - I had enough of just so so results
Fantastic results !this is gonna fly in the morning!
What a shame all the deramping
I think I am being sarcastic
Difficult to interpret
just what i expected at this point, still maintains the Divi, was hoping for a small increase, but hey ho,
GLA LTH
How very unfortunate....
I am not sure what you were expecting but they are not far off what I expected.
Net debt is down but not as much as everyone will like
Importantly there are no changes to the year projected figures.
Profit reported for the 6 months
Turnover drop is larger than I would like.
But the company has managed to get its new systems installed and the turnaround plan implemented within the expected timeframe, at least now they can see what is happening in their company.
There should be a recovery to 400 on these results IMO.
I do like :-
· This improved quality of earnings underpinned free cash flow1 growth of 36.2% year-on-year to $190m (H121: $140m).
· Net debt1 of $3,651m (Oct-21: $4,196m), representing a net leverage ratio of 3.7 times with a 0.3 decrease since 31 October 2021.
Also market may look at "Operating profit of $35m for H122 (H121: loss of $155m" very positively as it never really understood the concept of writing off exceptional items and just saw a loss?
These are not poor results. They are F**##@@g S#@# results.
