We have seen a significant improvement in sales via multiple distributors and continue to develop our technology most recently as a partner of Google. Later this year, we are launching a new range of devices, which we expect also to be Apple Homekit certified, the culmination of an extended period of development work. Under the leadership of our new CEO, we look forward to building further brand awareness and exploiting the wider market opportunity.
Chairman's Statement Much progress has been made in the last few months. Our UK distribution has been developed significantly leading to higher sales volumes and more regular orders. We have also strengthened our customer support offering and increased sales direct to consumers. Revenue for this half year of GBP1.17 million is already over 80% of the last full year's total of GBP1.44 million.

We recently ran a competition in our newsletter asking to hear about these ideas and our winner was Colin. Colin’s customised system uses LightwaveRF and a bit of creativity – it detects when there is spare power from his solar panels and directs it to charge his electric car, meaning his car can be charged for free when the sun’s been shining. The same system powers a halogen heater in winter so that it helps save on gas use. Clever, right? Thanks for sharing, Colin! Feel free to share in the comments your own inventive ways that you use LightwaveRF products.
LightwaveRF @LightwaveRF Our voice control for Google Home is now live and being deployed in stages as Google updates the Google Home and Google Assistant apps 1/2
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-39958028 Also significant is Google’s decision to bring its app to the iPhone, rather than just Android users.
Today please. 30% rise that is. Cant be that hard
You forgot sales growth, profit and what it does to a market cap. You didnt make a killing this morning you dumped at the first opportunity to get out of a share you bought too early. This is the time to buy and H2 could very well take us to profitability with the added massive exposure of our device to market. I hope you are physically sick in a few months that you sold out and it's what you deserve for slating a company you are no longer invested in or want to sew doubt so you can buy your shares again cheaper. Oh and this product has excellent customer reviews 4.5/5 I'll take that for a portfolio of 90 products.
(AIM: LWRF) Amazon Alexa and User Connections LightwaveRF plc ("LightwaveRF" or the "Company"), the proprietary IOT and connected devices specialist enabling the remote control and monitoring of light, heat, power and security through just one app is pleased to update the progress with Amazon Alexa. The response by LightwaveRF customers to the LightwaveRF Alexa Skill has been extremely positive with LightwaveRF achieving a 4.5 star feedback rating on the Amazon Alexa app. This is significantly higher than any competitor products. Since the Alexa launch Lightwave's user registrations have been running at double the rate of last year.
Google Home is coming to five new markets, including France, Canada and Australia By Andy Weir @gcaweir · 5 hours ago 1 Google launched its Home speaker hub in the United States last year, and it also went on sale in the United Kingdom a few weeks ago. Now, the company is preparing to make it more widely available. At its I/O developer conference this week, Google announced that Home is coming to five new markets: Australia Canada France Germany Japan Google hasn't yet announced pricing for those markets, or an exact launch date, saying only that it will be released in those countries sometime this summer. It also revealed this week that its digital Assistant - which powers the voice interactions on Home - is getting new language support this summer, with the addition of French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese. By the end of this year, it will support Italian, Spanish, and Korean too.
"The Company will provide a further update when it issues its interim results for the six months ended 31 March 2017, which it expects to release on Friday 19 May 2017."
I first bought this one when an RNS came out saying they were working with Apple. That was a fizzle that got a small rise followed by a long downward trend. Apple appear to have sent LWRF back to the drawing board to make their system more secure/compatible and basically probably ditch the thing that makes Lightwave what it does on the tin - RF! Apple don't appear to like having other people's control boxes around to mess up a tight security solution. My thinking is that they are pushing for a fully encrypted, AIM chip based, totally reliable home automation. I did my main college degree project on a home automation project, and remember watching 'Some mothers do 'ave 'em' automated home back in the seventies. Key thing in this sector is to just work reliably and simply and convince the 'wife'. Lightwave achieve some of this and beat the expensive systems but my experience is that they are not quite reliable enough to crack the ordinary mass-market and expand beyond 'geeks'. There may be a bit of a buzz with this initially but when the proverbial kettle takes all day to be switched on, then it will all get dumped. Anyway, I do expect this to be properly cracked one day and hope to be around when we actually get there. I am hanging around for the Apple solution as I expect they are aiming to achieve a level of excellence that may mean I don't have to rewire my home with every year's next big thing. FYI, I made quite a killing this morning catching the RNS and then selling out at the peak when I detected no sign of pro-level purchases coming in. I expect this to be fashionable for a couple of days and then to drift back to 16 or so. Going too early/quickly with unfit products could easily lead to disappointed consumers badmouthing the products and high level returns. That would cripple this business. I have not been impressed by the software (and associated bugs) from Lightwave - no sign of any sense of simplicity and reliability being a focus. The light switches are the best product but other products such as the radiator valves are just mad/bad in so many ways. You have to set the time to work on Chinese days - day changes at 6am so try getting your head around heating the house ready for an early rise....The rad valves also chew through batteries and make a racket that will wake you up before it is safe to get out of your cosy bed. I see this boom today as fired by private investors who think Google means the world. Lightwave are a tiny British company mainly focussed on the UK alone. As a tiny company they are making lots of tiny company mistakes and have not got the resources to keep pace with the market they had a lead in. They need a Steve Jobs type to scream at them to get their aesthetics and quality right, and to get that right before all the glossy marketing means they under-deliver like a Sinclair. Good luck all - still hoping to offload at a profit the shares I picked up after that Apple RNS
