I do feel LSAI should not wait for anyone else to develop the 'where's the crowd?'-app but should be proactive and develop that app themselves.
Sure that'll cost some money, but think of the media attention it'll get, the raised brand awareness, the created goodwill etc. etc.
Don't know about that as they were never on the passenger list anyway (at least not officially).
People are not ready (yet?) to be tracked by the government, too much of a "Big Brother is watching you" feeling, not even in the Covid-19 era.
Obviously the company has suffered because of the Corona lockdown. But that's only temporary.
The outlook for LSAI's business has probably never been better because of the Corona pandemic.
Everyone (businesses and people) has become more location aware (it's more in their minds and thought processes).
Businesses will be interested in people's location. In the past only because they looked at people as a target for location based advertising. That market hasn't changed.
Businesses will be interested in people's location for an additional reason as well. Protect your customer (by law or voluntary). You don't want your shop (or public transport or ....) to be overcrowded. Knowing where people are is needed to be able to protect them..
What definitely has changed and is rather new is that people want to know where other people are! You want to know where there is risk to get into an overcrowded situation. You would hate to drive off to the beach, parc, town or whatever only to find out it's overcrowded. People need to know where other people are. A whole new market!
Hopefully when they realise that the govt system doesn't work, they will employ the experts to resolve the issue.
I think you are probably right. Hopefully people will be more aware of the possibilities as a consequence of the apparently struggling coved-19 track and trace !!
All imo pdyor
I hope I'm wrong but it looks like they have missed the Corona boat.
They are arguing about the upcoming quarantine measures for people arriving into the uk saying they will be contacted to make sure they are obeying the quarantine order, but could be on the golf course or be somewhere where they shouldn't be when contacted. Perhaps the ukgov need to employ "LOCATION SCIENCE" !!
All imo pdyor
