BIG7,
It was neither of those, it happened to me twice over the summer. and 1. I had sufficient funds in my account and 2. It said unauthorised but the amount went out of my account . It was a glitch that was sorted in a few days, i was refunded and it never happened to me again
I encountered a glitch a few months ago...popped into co op to get some bits...9quids worth that's all... Presented the card for contactless... It beeped... They said it hadn't gone through... Just about to do it again and the Tally app beeped saying I've spent 9quid!! The checkout girl said it Definately didn't go through so I paid it again on Tally and it was fine this time....took about 10 days to get 9quid refunded....I didn't get to the bottom of what happened.
The issue of of "transaction not authorised' is down to one of two things. 1) card holder has insufficient funds OR 2) The card issuance company has insufficient funds. The latter is incredibly concerning. Extreme caution should be taken with just how much funds are held with Tally in my opinion. Losing all your investment in your shareholding is bad enough but compounding that further with loss of account funds is catastrophic.
Read CP's reply and just a point I would highlight is that yes CP was a director at Coinsilium but by a huge coincident he resigned just days after Lionsgold was suspended (pre-expulsion). Jumped/Pushed make your own conclusions.
Ok, so I bought into Lionsgold because I was genuinely excited by concept. It morphed into Tally, delisted and has adopted a ‘look and see ‘ attitude to adoption of Tally. As a shareholder, I bought into the Tally card and have used it as much as possible. Unfortunately, on at least 10+ occasions I have used the card (contactless and using the pin) in various places home and abroad and it has been ‘not authorised’. It is embarrassing when the retailer runs after you saying ‘your transaction is not authorised’! Furthermore, although it was ‘not authorised’ my Tally account was debited and I had also paid with another card. Double payments are also an issue. This needs to be addressed before we can move on.
