I note that the H&W Apprenticeship Scheme is due to start across all four sites in September. This would need an uptick in contracts as far as is known there is no work ongoing at Arnish. We can hope that there is the necessary work coming in to sustain the apprenticeship scheme.
You Might find this interesting Chris

Hi oldtramp - With regards 'gearing up for a ship building contract' H&W posting suggests it was posted to wet our appetites & so you could be right. The timing would then a suggest an RNS next week which ties into my earlier hunches.
What I do believe is that if we do not get some form of an update/RNS next week I will be upset & many others.
Hi chris obviously i do admit i do not not know much about shipbuilding luckily have a tad more knowledge on Hydrogen However they do seem to have some modern tech at H&W Belfast

Re the pin jig if it does the job etc etc also would you not agree they are gearing up for a ship building contract ?
GLA
Thanks oldtramp but what I see in the article a very modern production line with gleaming equipment not like at H&W & that I think is one of the problems. It may be one of the largest docks but with antiquated equipment even the pin jig is well rusted compared with those in your link.
Never heard of a pin jig before so googled it looks like a jig for shipbuilding panels ?

Chris, something coming imho, you don't do that for no reason , agree stokey
Chrisatrdg With a week to go to the end of the month you might get a contract announcement that you were expecting.
