Fingers crossed she WILL be back with her sisters ... and may be more !!
I'm in Bangor (Co Down) today and watched the Viking Sea cruise past Ballymacormick Point a short time ago. This big gurl is an impressive sight. Hopefully we'll see her back in Belfast soon.
EXCELLENT.. thanks indeed for speedy honest and therefore helpful response.. much appreciated!!
Dawski. I heard one of the Viking ships was going from a guy in one of the FB groups.
I also see now that it's on belfast harbour page. If you pop ' bookings, belfast, harbour' into Google and go to the traffic tab, its shows there that the Viking Sea is leaving on the 19th Sept.
Dawski. I'm not overly concerned. The July 10th RNS states:
The Company currently has three sisters of the Viking Cruises family simultaneously docked at the quayside. The three sisters will initially undergo a series of repairs and maintenance works, with an enhanced package of works currently being discussed by the technical teams of Viking Cruises and Harland & Wolff, which could be worth in excess of £25 million over the next 12 months.
So movement of ships is to be expected sometime, with a return as and when a further works program commences "over the next 12 months."
They have not been dry docked so why sea trials?? seems to me they have just been docked as nothing of the work done has been posted anywhere.
Sea trial's possibly?
An indication of a second Viking Ship leaving until a significant contact of work is confirmed worries me . We need to know the source of this rumour to negate any fake news and if plausible why the ship is going and to where .. and is it purely to facilitate another ship docking .. is it likely to return etc .. most disturbing news indeed .Can anyone please clarify !
I believe Stena Superfast Vlll will be moving to the dry dock on Friday.
I can't confirm it but I'm also told one of the Viking ships is leaving this weekend. Hopefully it's making room for something else to come in.
