sorry regarding TT I quoted a wrong figure. This is what it says:
"tastytrade total revenue grew by 62%, or 15% on a pro forma basis. On a constant currency basis, pro forma total revenue increased to $41.1 million, up 1%, driven by additional interest income, offset by a reduction in trading revenue reflecting softer market conditions in the period."
The Q3 update is solid. I'm happy with the numbers.
I think the market was expecting a slowdown in revenue - not sure?
However, revenue increased by 11% once again - a very solid performance which reflects the quality of IG client base, there are many professional traders on the platform. TT is doing well with 7% increase (constant currecy basis this was only 1% but still growth regardless). They have hired someone to increase their marketing efforts in the USA.
So it's all looking good to me. Best of luck all, Cheap
Divi went from 43.2 to 44.2p.
I take it those numbers are not the same?
TT acquisition is going well.
I suggest you read the last rns which you clearly haven’t done.
You also falsely claim divi is the same but it has just increased…how about you go back to buying premium bonds and you cannot even asses a dividend increase?
Your claim about outage is also false.
Please read the rns before comments with your false information. Thank you
I don’t do short term trades and certainly not on fomc days or Jackson hole… because that is what morons do..
Our platform went down and I keep an eye on it because I’m diligent in my investments…
There was one tweet moaning about outage.
That’s not from igg.
I place my trades prior to Powell speech.
Not like you panic trading during the speech.
https://twitter.com/cbrstrategic/status/1563173683421917184?s=46&t=NyBXoD0sWSTDuER0ap4X1w
So where is this link to igg outage?
Can’t find it.
Maybe the resident clown eighteen can post it?
Idiot you don’t know what I trade and when.
Clueless you can’t assess fundamentals of this stock
Worst infestor I’ve ever seen here
And also my negativity here has been well warranted the purchase of tasty trade royally did us over as is becoming apparent, this stock trades badly because of it and because the divi has been kept the same as while bond yields shoot higher… if the base rate went to 5% what do you think happens to this share price? We wasted 1 bn
No I had a chronic negatively towards you since you are the worst trader on here I’ve ever seen period… I think you could have verified it by checking under the igg Twitter account you know? Where they said as much…
The most profitable trade on this website is shorting everything you have wrote on… 100% rrcord.
i'm sorry eighteen but your post history reveals a chronic negativity towards IG so I can't really take your posts seriously.
Clown
Well I doubt it crashed for everyone. There is always one here saying "it crashed".
I have used IG index for a decade and it has never crashed...for me.
Maybe I've been lucky but facts are that IG has the best platform in the business and that is not going to change because it crashed for you..
I've had no issues. So let's move on and see how IG is going to keep going from strength to strength.
Our service crashed during the Powell speecc and trades couldn’t be completed this is bad, maybe not for share price but I don’t want it happening again.
Looking like indicies are a little overbought now.
Potential falls ahead.
I was looking at the returns on the current share buyback and dividend. When you combine the divi of 44.2p with 150M buyback you get 9.4% on current share price of 838p. So this is still extremely cheap.
Returns equal to 79p per share
Is looking strong and firm.
One has to hope that cmc doesn’t come up with a rubbish update again that causes issues.
I think the resilience here is mainly down to the share buy back. It’s way of returning money to share holders but also importantly puts buy pressure on the stock.
Ig paid me Vodafone dividends 8am ready for trading. Halifax and iweb I imagine I have to wait till Monday. Superb customer service by IG
All it said was trading is robust, but costs will be 5% above what was guided, hardly affects IGG !
CMC does more damage to IG than than almost anything else, I wish it would be taken private and de-listed or taken over
Market is being weird again.
Ig is down on Cmcx update which was bad.
Some idiots forgot that ig just released their own update which was superb. How long is your memory remind me again? Haha.
I have some cash so I’ll be looking to add today.
…modernisation
It would be interesting to get IG into ftse100 and see what they reaction would be. Currently IG is sitting at about position 110, sp would need to reach £10 or over to get IG into the big index. Although this obviously also depends on the general markets proving of ftse 100 stocks. If the market tanks then entry would get easier but I’m not seeing a bear market at the mo. But that mainly depends on the next Fed rates decision and the future guidance that gets given with the rate decision. Interesting times for sure. I definitely would like IG to rise to FTSE100 but at not going forecast anything. The make up of ftse100 needs to change there is too much mining and big oil - not enough tech. This is precisely what IG would bring into the index - tech and finance. Finance is already strong in the index but needs modenisation.
I don't want £8 yet. While we are in a share buyback programme I'd rather see the market return to £6 per share so that they can buy back more shares and improve the long term position.
Wow!
Sorry about my bad joke!
I respect your long hold & excellent trades on top.
Hopefully today we break £8. Gla, Cheap

''However, I would not really consider 5 weeks a long time, investor?''
I have had an IG index/IG group account since 1999/2000. I bought when it floated on the market and sold out when doubling my money.
I reinvested in the company about 10 years ago and have been a continuous shareholder since then.
My sale yesterday represented a small percentage of my holding.
Excellent on that trade profit is always a profit!
So well done.
However, I would not really consider 5 weeks a long time, investor?
I had a quick scan of the results pre-open and thought it looked good form what I could tell without delving too deep. Usually as the market digests all of the report it will set the tone for the days trading, so good to see it finish up 10% we've certainly been patient enough and proves the market was wrong when it dumped us on CMC's results.
