IDEA are one of the main Tips of the Week in tomorrow's IC, headed up "Ideagen adds fuel to rapid growth".
Nice :o))
OT : and the first person to say "kiss of death" gets taken away and shot for predictability!
And i've missed several times i should have sold and im now sitting at a loss, tis life and probably a healthy dose of greed lol! I agree with the F in Faangs, i can't say i know too much about the N, and im undecided on the other three, i don't think many people saw amazon doubling in a year but its cloud computing arm is responsible for a lot of that! Apple is interesting because its wearable tech could equal its phone revenues in the not too far future and they seem tobe able to charge what they like for their products and get away with it! And google has its fingers in so many pies that i really don't know what to make of them, their ai division is working in the healthcare industry and if they come up with a cure for lung cancer or something like that then you can billions almost overnight. Fairly sure i have exposure to most of them through my pension so glad of that but im not so sure about investing 'real' money lol
Lesserof2weevils...I'll try mate! Def called my sell wrong had not factored in the momentum aspect.....still I made money and that's never wrong in these markets. There's little doubt that tech stocks are toppy on the Nsdq with several disappointing the mrkt..Oracle for instance and a recent survey by BOA Merill Lynch of US fund managers found 55% thought FAANGs values were stretched. London seems to be suffering from a buyers strike hardly surprising given the chaos of Mays 'Chequers' paper which most say won't wash and worries over the dreaded 'no vote' I'm on the sidelines probably for the duration, well at least till 3/19 for sure. Afternoon all.
No need to jump down johns throat everyone, john was basically the only one posting on this board for a long time and the vast majority of the time he was pretty bang on with his assessments. Its never nice to see money you could have made slip away and its only human nature to want to get some of that action. Rivaldo showed john the error of his ways and thats all that needed to be said. I for one still value your comments john, lets just keep the good vibes mate!
I've said my piece and you have said yours, thats fine by me after all free expression 'n all that. Good luck with Idea.
Well said rivaldo,
JohnLewis79 - Ideagen was a long term hold investment, especially when you bought your holding. I know you've sold it now, so it doesn't matter for you any longer.
This is not any form of recommendation, but we all need to review and understand their strategy: the Exec team are seasoned professionals, and domain experts. Look at what they are building, So if you can afford to hold IDEA stock, without being in debt, then hold the equity.
There is no need to complain once you are out, is there? What's the point?
Fair comment riv...
Nice rise yet again today, and importantly on large volumes, showing the extent of institutional demand.
JohnLewis79, please stop posting the same thing over and over now that you are out. It doesn't reflect well on you - you've said your piece, now move on and wait until the next piece of news worth commenting on. Thanks.
Inevitable profit taking after the 24 sp rise last couple of sessions. Surprised it wasn't more. Gut feeling its going much lower perhaps another 20 from here as little has changed on the fundamentals. But as we well know sentiment & over confident investors trump those minor considerations so the floor might be 160. You may accuse me of talking my own book having missed the jump from 140 and I'd sort of agree with that however I said Idea was up with events and I stand by that.
Another American contract win:

"Ideagen to help Summit Aviation achieve cost and labour savings via First Article Inspection software
17 September 2018
The US-based aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and manufacturing organisation will adopt Q-Pulse FAIR to help with contracts relating to Airframe OEM’s
Ideagen has announced it is to work with a prominent US-based aviation organisation in a project that will ease first article inspections and 3D model conversions.
Summit Aviation, founded in 1960, will implement Ideagen’s Q-Pulse FAIR software, part of Ideagen's Q-Pulse Product Management suite, to boost efficiencies and reduce costs during projects with clients such as Boeing, Sikorsky and Northrop Grumman.
As part of its services, the company – acquired by Greenwich AeroGroup ten years ago – is required to carry out first article inspections, also known as FAIs, relating to parts including tailbooms, engines, landing gears and wing ribs.
Andy Bullock, Summit Aviation’s Director of Quality says the project will help the company save “thousands of dollars” and “hundreds of hours of labour”.
“We believe this project will provide us with around a 50% saving in labour,” said Mr Bullock. “In 2016, our Kentucky plant completed more than 1000 FAIs which equated to around 4,000 man hours so you can imagine the costs associated with that.
etc"
Sage, Mfocus, TM 100 & tech 350 all down so far this morning. The love affair with Idea continues....
The presentations to the City about the new American acquisition must have been rather impressive......
171 paid...buyers liking this!!
Post Scrip!!
Forgot to mention the 5 - 8 companies that liquidated!!!
I bought in May 16 at 54p spending 4k. I've since sold 3k and still hold 8k. It just shows what is achievable on AIM.
i come across IDEA in 2013 ,maybe i should have stack with it.
Jeez how much higher can it go? Fundamentals are outta the window atm imo and the P/e on £20m ebita is c.17x and no-one is suggesting Idea is gonna make those nos next year. So why all the enthusiasim for the stock? I must be missing something. I promise you it ain't sour grapes....honest!
Yikes....! Shudda got back in at 145 Grrrrrr!! Well done those who stuck with it.
Nice - 375,000 shares just bought at 160p and 875,000 shares bought at 157p this morning.
Evidently the institutions who were heavily scaled back in the placing want to get their full allocation....
Pity they didn't place at 152 and went for a gangbuster £50m. Wonder if they tried? It happens...occasionally and would have shown increased confidence in the Co paying above current sp considering they were well oversubscribed! No doubt their brokers didn't want to risk egg on their faces. Pretty sure they would have tried for a higher raise but perhaps the demand would not support in the after mrkt and went for the safer option. Price is what you pay value is what you get and they ain't always the same. In that regard take a look at some o...lies. I know of one Co throwing off c.$150m FCF this year (zero debt by YE) valued at just 2x Idea. I'll grant you your paying for a lot of 'expected' future earnings in Idea which might seem more attractive but as for price/value i know which is the better choice. Just my opinion like...
The placing closed nice and quickly - and note that it was "heavily oversubscribed".
Which bodes rather well....

"David Hornsby, Executive Chairman of Ideagen, commented:
"I am delighted to announce the successful conclusion of this fundraise which was heavily oversubscribed with support from both existing and new shareholders. Ideagen values the ongoing support it has received from its existing shareholders and welcomes the many new institutional investors as shareholders in the Company. The proceeds from the Placing will enable Ideagen to significantly accelerate its growth objectives by acquisition and deliver further value to shareholders."
Once the largest of the proposed new - highly earnings-enhancing - acquisitions is announced then I can see the share price advancing very nicely indeed.
Thanx for that...nothing for Idea holders that's fine as sure as I'm a Dutchman i can buy sub 142 in the not too dustant future. Heh ho I'm out and no intention of buying back in on this opportunistic raid on shareholders funds which ain't much. However can't fault the acquisition strategy and time will tell if it's the best use of holders money. Gluck to holders.
good price for the placing 142p , investors will be pleased.
