I've no crystal ball, but in my experience, over the past 34 years every penny share I've been in that has consolidated has reverted to being a penny share again before a year had passed.
I now make it a rule to sell on the announcement. I've only regretted it once but that is more that balanced out by the 8 or 10 times it paid off.
Good luck guys.
It's going to take a while for the dust to settle but HYR was never (in my view) going to be a quick-fix turnaround. They've determined that the way forward is via HoNA and dropping operations in Oz ... I'm intrigued by the implication of potential Institutional Investors ... and the aspiration of paying a dividend for the full year ending 31-12-2019. We'll not have too long to wait (albeit several months) for 2H 2018 results and that will provide better insight into how the business is doing. A concern (for me) is that David Dinwoodie is possibly too thinly spread across multiple businesses - but he undoubtedly has the full confidence of Andrew Black so I remain strapped-in for the ride. There's little point in jumping off right now. GLA
41% discount, no wonder I could not sell any of my holding thru Halifax on friday, shafted by a gambler and his side kicks, should have read the warning signs long ago.
Proposed placing to raise a minimum of £10m
Not quite the update i was hoping for!!!
Tomorrow hopefully, hope its worth the wait.
Well I was wrong david
15-45, again on friday, to tell us next week??
A recent history of strange RNS announcement timing during the day. I am going for 12.10pm this afternoon and some positive news.
Yep... feels like a coiled spring that's either going to snap or fly.... GLA
I think the board have gone on there holidays and forgotten to tell us about the review they completed last week, maybe slip it out again Friday when no one looking.
Yes lets hope continues
all buy
will do .but this were 7/8 p...few years ago
bought some
Strange little RNS at 3 45pm. Well they said that it would be in Sept. details still getting prepared. A nice big buy just after this and I expect some share price increases next week. 1.5p Monday ?
Was hoping for promised update “ by end Sept” today. Nothing so let’s hope no news good news is confirmed Monday am
Not before time. Decent RNS with feedstock partner would be ideal!
Is it the start of the next uptrend?.....
Agreed Gramp. The last half year report was encouraging but we need a sustained improvement in feedstock supplies if HYR are going to move forward. I’ve been in for a while now and sitting on a 50% loss. Confidence may well be returning gradually and there’s been a bit of recent buying, perhaps in anticipation of good news at the end of the month. If I had spare funds I’d have a few more at this price, for the same reason.
Fingers crossed there’s good news coming soon.

Hi & welcome ... HYR is probably off the radar for many folk these days because it has been taking years to deliver and has been prone to endless "bad luck". Feedstock issues have been an ongoing problem and haven't (yet) been reliably resolved ... Yes there are some encouraging signs and we're promised an update from management by the end of Sept ... certainly the current SP is an interesting proposition if you fancy a punt ... just don't get too carried away or start believing its a sure-fire, one way bet. * with oil prices starting to rise. Typo
Hi all. LSE newbie here. I've seen a few people mentioning this share on Twitter so thought I'd check it out. Done a little research and things are looking quite promising. The plants run rates have increased along with gross margins. I also see the largest shareholder in the company has extended a previous loan repayment date to Dec 2019. Having forensically gone through the recent results I can see things are improving significantly. Even though they're not quite profitable enough yet (due to some feedstock problems, which seem to have been addressed ) they currently have more than enough cash to last them until around Feb/Mar time, and that's just from the shareholder loans and not factoring in any day to day sales etc. So on that basis there shouldn't be need for a equity raise/placing. With prices starting to rise and an increase in productivity the company's mcap stands an extremely good chance of re-rating back to 3/4p region at least.... Am I missing something? Is it just unloved and to far off radar?
He could be onto something there. Guess we'll find out this week for sure... We're now into the last week of September. GLA 👍
