The difficulty about releasing a statement is they are then acknowledging they have a problem! They will not issue a statement ...yet. In time believe me they will be forced to issue statements galore. The PR mob will be have been on calls last few days putting some sort of defence strategy together, as Energy Voice will have already contacted them for a comment on the article so they will have known in advance. And the timing of the article is perfect, coming just after yesterday 's non-update. The fact that Hurricane chose not to provide any olive branch in that statement yesterday about consulting widely, proper strategy in place etc, tells you just how bad things are, and also frankly that the Board is paralysed and has no idea what to do.
keepwell - good question on what do they do? they seemingly find it difficult to make decisions!
I think Hurr shold release an RNS responding to Crystal Amber. You would there would be a couple fo calls a month with both them and Kerogen, if they are powerful enough to work together that could be an option, although are Kerogen not Bondholders? If sot here could be a clash of interests... Whats good for the shareholders might not be good for the Bondholder and vice versa....
cpt Swag, why not, what else do they do?
You're right probably not, seriously though, that is a fair question, what DO they do?
Yes with Kerogen, who left the board table some months ago, there is a power force in play.
I also suspect CA would not have done this without speaking to Kerogen as they need them on board with the new plans.
CA need the backing of Kerogen who hold over 16% and have the right personnel in the background to take control.
If working in concert they have sufficient shares to oust the present BOD with a vote of no confidence.
i really doubt the current bod read these forums.
I doubt CA will put in another penny until the ship is steering in a favourable direction. CA have given cash, now it seems they are giving their time to sort out a mess. Fair play they are protecting their investment, maybe only 11% but still it's a majority. They have the means and capability to put Hurr on a better track.
I would not bother writing to the Hurr crew, treat them as they have treated us. Besides we know they monitor these forums. Shame on them all.
Snap up on the cheap in order to reach that level of control.
It would be great to see CA start buying more, that would certainly put the pressure. A few TR-1s will do nicely.
