Spear - 'You are playing at the church of mammon and yet trying to find solace in morality.' - that's actually beautifully put, fair enough. But it's still pointless posting stuff like that and pretending it's anything other than egotism.
I got out of this share long ago. I didn't agree with the more positive posters here anymore, just like you didn't. But that was my decision to take with my independent brain. They didn't 'mislead' anyone nor do they owe anyone anything. They're not fund managers, they're just punters posting on a forum.
Unfortunately the internet has exacerbated many people's tendency to tribalism and binary thinking. It's something intrinsic to human nature, but is distortedly exaggerated by the avenues the internet brings it to grow and polarise further. It goes back to our instincts toward sticking to our own tribes for safety, but it's also coloured by an increasing amount of egotism and selfishness.
As you said, the Brexit debate is replete with examples on both sides of hideous things being said of other people over something that is actually just really sodding complicated. Thus I no longer participate in the debate outside of my own brain.
I hope the times we live in give way to a movement toward detail-oriented thinking, giving others the benefit of the doubt, permitting fault in others (not becoming absolutists and new-puritans, like the 'cancel-culture' kids, taking some pride in sometimes saying 'It's complicated', and lionising those who say 'I have changed my mind' or 'I was wrong' instead of cowardly kicking dirt on them.
It is only natural when confronted with the truth that some of us have been warning about for some time for some to claim moral superiority and huddle around the "good guys". I was of the opinion that pulpits were for the church and not the stock market. You are playing at the church of mammon and yet trying to find solace in morality.
Having warned endlessly about this utter POS of a company the cheerleaders persuaded yet more of the hapless onto rocky shores with a flagrant disregard for all the warnings. The RNS this morning is telling you starkly the dire condition of the company's financial position and yet there are some looking at crumbs as fully formed loaves. The next fundraising, for there will be one, will be at an eye watering level IF they can manage to get one away.
I note the cheerleaders are conspicuous by their absence!
A lot of hope still built into the market cap with the total losses not yet quantified but heavily hinted at in the RNS.
There is no billionaire. Although RP may be a millionaire from the largesse provided by the "investors" here.
Quite bizarre, on most of the Boards I use (not as often as I used to) everything is now Tribally Binary
I won & you lost
Its the same all over Social Media too, polarising behaviour everywhere
Brexit / No Brexit
Deal / No Deal
I was right you were wrong
I told you so
Sadly grey arrears seem to be a thing of the past :(
Law, I suppose you're accusing me of some kind of glory-seeking by being supportive in people's darker hours here, but you're posting now purely to gloat and say I told you so, and justifying it by saying 'But I was right and if they'd listened to me they'd be better off'.
Except that I don't think you made any specific predictions, just generalised stuff. It doesn't give you the right to 'credit' for things going wrong in a way you didn't perceive.
I make no claims to being 'morally superior' to most people, but perhaps a bit to those who come here solely to stoke their own egos.
I don't believe anyone on here has been sad to see RP leave. Surely our investment is in better hands now and all them cash draining, going nowhere, assets that so many have moaned about in the past are to be sold. Let's give Nick a chance and see what he can do. Drawing their loan facility in preparation for a possible significant CBD deal sounds promising.
Classy post Simon. I have only lost a couple of grand and do not expect to get it back any time soon. However, I am not going to sell in the hope that we do get a decent leader at the helm who can control those board members, friends of RP, who are still hanging around. Lets hope they do not "give" HNR assets to that most undesirable of businessman, a term I use loosely.
All this ‘they won the battle but they won’t win the war’ is pure bull ****!! It’s the kind of mentality that will have convinced people to hold on longer here than they should! A lot of people here will have held because they listened to the moronic ramping posts and because of the us v them mentality regarding the rampers and derampers (truth sayers!!). And this nonsense of people gloating in others misery! I am not gloating one bit! The red flags were here for years and there were a multiple of them! The reason a lot of people stayed RKB were because they were blinded by Hopeless Dave’s and OSG’s constant ramping! People will learn from this! Don’t attack the people who knew what was going on and try to score points making out you’re some morally higher being! Perhaps if people had listened to me, JJAL and a few others then they wouldn’t be suffering as much now!
HNR should have stayed in the oil business in stead there a wacky backy business, your ceo left because he is a oil man, HNR is a disgrace it’s treated it’s investors like RMP and 88e, I remember I sold this company at 23-26p, disgraceful
Not to be doom and gloom but We have no cash to buy raw materials and develop products and would have to sell on a massive scale to make substantial profit. Not good.
Not as bad as it seems
Well that was a bolt out of the blue this morning and I did not ever contemplate RP “disappearing”.
It is not as bad as it seems in my opinion because of our CBD business Zoetic Organics.
When we have jettisoned our Natural Resources Assets (hopefully not OUR Nitrogen) we will be left just with our CBD Products.
When you take a step back and think about Zoetic Organics as a Company before we got involved and then say this Business wanted to do an IPO on the Main LSE Market, would they have been able to?
Within hopefully the next 12 months we will be a pure CBD business with organic products with people who understand the Cannabis Market.
I think it would have been almost impossible to list via an IPO as the UK regulators would have scrutinised it in such minute detail and not permitted a purely Cannabis Company to be listed on the LSE Main Market.
I took a hit on half my holding and lost 15p a share, I still retain 200,000 shares which will hopefully recover when our CBD products become mainstream (that is the way the CBD community is moving with more and more States and Countries legalising CBD) Governments and States know there are massive tax revenues potentials from legalising Cannabis products and for HNR to be the first UK listed main market company we do have a head start.
Another “not as bad as it seems” is that after the initial shock of RP demise we will no longer have to put up with the Trolls, they can have their day and gloat, they won the battle but they will not win the war.
RKB
PS On another B.B. I said I would not look at B.B. for one month and I only lasted 3 days, hopefully I will not have sight of another RNS like this morning as I did enjoy the past three days not having to read what the Trolls are saying.
PPS Well said Simon_Said. If only others had the same morals as yourself then the world would be a better place.
Sorry I should add I was investing money for young kids future here. Almost all gone. Disgraceful from Mr Price and the crew. New business unlikely to be any different. Grrrr
18 convenience stores in American and a website?? My god how many products would we have to sell to make meaningful profit??? Getting angry as I write this. Company is destined for insolvency.
I used to hold HNR (sold out in the 18s) but have kept half an eye on proceedings. What I haven't felt the need to do, at any point, is rub anyone's nose in the descending share price. I met good people through this share, hard-working well-meaning individuals trying to make money to better their lives and the lives of their families.
Today's announcement makes no difference to my personal wealth, but it's sad to see people I knew suffering, and sadder to see the lowlifes coming here to scream "I told you so!" and make people feel worse. Just because you were negative on the company, doesn't mean you get any 'credit' for 'predicting' anything - the narrative here has been complicated and unexpected to everybody, and you did not predict the details, just a generalised doomsaying.
HNR was no longer for me a long time ago so I signed off and pursued other interests. Maybe have some class and do the same instead of taking joy in other people's losses.
I hope those who lost out here are doing ok. No smug crap from me. Wishing all of you all the best - this is a ****ing tough game.
I’m invested here unfortunately. Let’s be honest this CBD play will never produce the returns I’m after. It is a highly competitive market and we have no cash reserves or ability to scale. We will run out of cash in the coming months unless there is another placing. We have been shafted.
A glorified double glazing salesman
Won't get the Nitrogen.
"the Company is negotiating with him in regard to a POSSIBLE sale of some or all of the natural resources assets to him."
His severance contract probably has a clause in it that allows him to make an offer.
Why would we say yes to our Nitrogen asset? Sell him DTU, should get a fantastic price due to him knowing it's at "Tipping Point"
Now the bad news is out the way, what we need is a few days of calm and then a raft of good news coming through, OTC listing is the big one!
Max19 I feel sorry for genuine long term holders! However, the cold hard truth is this company is going nowhere! The only people who may make any money on this are the ones buying in at 4/5p! But I say may in the loosest sense because there’s a lot more chance of the company failing in all honesty so personally I wouldn’t risk any of my money even if this was at 0.01
Drawer of course....
I feel sorry for people who have been duped here. It's happened to me on other companies. Some people have not taken to my negative posts but i hope it at least put some people off buying in.
Some assets were originally sold to HNR by Price at an inflated cost if i remember rightly (DTU). So now hes had several years of massive salary, patents paid for by shareholders etc, then will get the back on the cheap. Rinse and repeat i imagine. Its really bad and i hope he gets his comeuppance as he is genuinely a criminal. NT was being lined up to take over months ago and this should have been communicated. He was doing all the paid for ramp videos. So what does he actually bring to the table now other than being in the right place at the right time. He'll be creaming more off for his mates going forward, the city spivs. Be aware, this is uninvestable.
What happens to RP’s 12m shares now, he better not dump them on the market or we are in real trouble! Best to exchange them for some of our lessor assets maybe, at market value of course, and then the shares come back to the company and reduce number of shares in issue and thus a bonus to the sp?
whilst this was inevitable with all our eggs in one basket and the shifting of the core business. You can’t help but laugh at how they plan on disposing of those assets. As some rightly said, what’s going to happen here is the assets will be sold dirt cheap and to massive loss after investment from Hnr as the guy negotiating it is also the one buying it. After the purchases he will walk away and then sell the nitrogen mix back to us at an inflated rate. Later down the line the BOD from here will all probably end up leaving or closing the dead duck if a company and joining the board of his ‘newly’ established company. All this company has now is an a cbd business that cost less than £1.5m to set up, with the sale of all other assets including ED and with no figures on sales, the company as far as I’m concerned is esssentially worth sweet FA at this moment.
Now I posted my rant as for the past AND TODAY NEWS, we can look to the future with SOME hopes....maybe,just maybe with a name change that suit the new direction we can draw a line over the past and move on....good and promising potential is certainly there to take advantage of....YET, this was said before about the oil,and gas business....put my holding in the bottom draw now (the pile is growing there atm....)will not add any untill the dust is clear once for all....GLA.
There is no billionaire investor. However I’m quite pleased that the new CEO waived a salary increase, maybe he is a man of integrity unlike the last thief?
Still, no chance of us LTH getting our 30p averages back now.
