Cheers DT, keep posting the charts info resistant & support levels, interesting stuff, I am longterm and do alote research, I believe in the numbers just haven't got into it yet.. one things for sure with Glenda.... we are in for a thrilling ride as always the next 12 months,,, copper, commodities, Teck deal, China, interest rates, electrification, oil countries getting into commodities.... never a dull moment with these babies.. roll on £6 & beyond.
Dropped a fair amount of these i hold outside of isa's yesterday to ease the calculations for this return capital/dividend issue moving forwards. Calcs take far to long to do to be bothered with.
I hope the shorters have gone all in on Glencore about 2 months ago, because they are being burned at the stake at present. and they will have to start thinking about closing them ... when we hit 472 then that is a key number I can smell those shorts closing with a burned ass and than short squeeze will do us no harm
So 472p is the next barrier, its banged its head over the last year on that one. if we get past that for 3 dayys it really is game on to 500p in the next few months..( macro political issues aside)
Don't forget the old saying sell in May and go away , i've regretted not doing it for the last 5 years .not sure how it will play out this year, there's talk of a strong second half with the run up to the US elections.:)
Livingthedream investing was easy before geopolitical/covid/Green brigade/ trump and short supply of various parts of the food cycle. I really should have retired on a high before covid and gone fly fishing with mortimer lol
Yeah thanks Evi, I aim to remain invested through the next bull run, but picking the right time to leave the party is tricky, especially when you're having such a time.....normally when the DJ packs up and leaves is a good sign (2 months ago it looked like the beer ran out and fighting was about to start - and I was hiding behind the sofa)....I'm always learning through these investing cycles, but need to learn when to sell without getting sellers remorse.....
Livingthedream
Gotcha I hope the ftse 100 will deliver a good upside.
Evi, I haven't looked at the new brit isa yet.
I'm trying to build a 18% cashpot (of total pension/ISA value) ready for retirement to allow me to dip into when i have a low yearly dividend (as this year) and not to get tempted into any more shares.....but the temptations come along every so often.....any recent investments are in my son's LISA.....trying to get him decent deposit for a house for when he finishes uni...
So dr copper good atm. Market forecast us good reity everything is good to go imho
Livingthedream the new 5k isa looks good aok
No worries, good luck
Apologies LTD i think i have mixed you up with someone else.
Ade, I've never sold a Glen share during the peak 15 months ago or since, I wish I had, but I'm useless at trading so am a LTH holding for long term growth and divis and have always stated this. I have done well with glen but not all my investments have gone so well, HUR, SXX, RMM to name a few, good luck with your investments
I missed the boat on this LDD and I'm owning this unlike you who just managed to buy a load wright at the bottom.
It’s quite similar to when you were selling wright at the top.
I see you are very gifted.
No worries Ade, I'm still laughing at your 08:19 post on results day, "this will trade between £3 and £3.50 and then continue to fall"
We all get things wrong from time to time, but remember, bears sound clever, bulls make money!
Living the dream I see your still posting BS on here.
