It is no brainer if you are Danaher and a small company is taking out third of your profit, basically for intellectual rights. Why give away £438m a year when you can buy them out at much cheaper price. 50m market cap currently. Even if you go 5 times that, you will save 200m in just one year.
I am happy to go free with my shares if they offer 200p:)
Technically they can sell but I bet the majority of institutions that would be interested would require EUA as a prerequisite - Hence the delay in sales announcement.
Bit like the difference between a guarantee vs warranty
Litigation protection with EUA I suggest
Clark
They can sell in usa without eua. Beckman are gdr distributors in europe also.
I wonder how the BC team are taking the EUA delays as they were expecting to go live over 6 months ago. Sales team must be getting tired of hearing potential buyers saying yes we will place an order as soon as you get EUA.........
Totally Agree Clark,
GDR will turn us ALL into Rampers, and Quite Rightly Too !!!
Great Times Ahead 'For ALL GDR SHAREHOLDERS' !!!
EUA will stick a rocket under GDR we just need to sit it out! Lots of other stuff in near future and when the first of many lines of development sales contracts land it will all have been worth the pain.
Agree Preefty. If it wasn't BC, I don't think I would have continued holding this for so long.
Wanted to try out Doge but couldn't get strength to get in. Huge fluctuations. Might be worth buying few hundred pounds worth and leave it for next generation.
Until then, we have to keep watching the SP yoyo on daily basis. I can see why people like Guy is getting so frustrated.
I have jumped a bit into crypto through Kraken, just to distract me from here. Idnt realise how easy it was. Only a small amount in Cardano and Ripple. The up and down there will make GDR yoyo a child's play!
Just to recap:
current max capacity for GDR is 10,000 beads per hour = 240,000 beads/day
(Need 80 machines doing 3 shifts of 1000 tests)
@£5/bead profit= £1.2m/day for GDR =£438m/year
Same profit for Cytiva and BC.
This is the maximum we can have if all is sold. Even if we achieve 10% of that without EUA, it will be over 40m business.
My feeling is that Danaher will most likely buy GDR once the sales start to materialise.
Maestro realised he's not going to going to get his 40p buy, so has switched sides accordingly.
What's going on here? Maestro is the new ramper?? BigAl is out of job now!
@maestro: what do you think will be the realising SP of GDR once we get FDA approval?
Who stole Maestro???
Guy
Not having the eua limits sales in usa it doesnt stop sales, gdr can still sell over their.
Lets see what beckman pulls out of the hat, going for the big contracts take time remember other competitors will also be fighting for those contracts.
Tides turned on gdr. Imho
Also on the eua front , if/when we get it hopefully beckman can sell , think it’s more frustrating the eua watch going on where people see it as a reason to celebrate other companies are getting approval and for some reason we are bottom of the list
Hopefully it does start coming together , it can’t continue to be a shambles for ever surely
Ppl seem to forget (myself included) that beckman have significant reach in usa, for all we know potential customers may have requested independent verification of the product before purchase, considering fda havent issued eua yet. The case study from new mexico fits that..
Beckman are not here to sell 500k test, they will be looking to sell in the millions.
Guy you might be right but sales will come and over time the orders will increase in india.
At the moment analyst claim 2m ppl are getting infected per day, this is a massive amount. Its going to take along time for normality in india considering population is 1.3bn.
Beckman are getting labs to certify the product by testing it, this data will be key for potential customers without eua.
Its coming together now.
Imho
Typo! 55k single lab
2 or 3 more will churn through 1m tests in short order!
Even if it's 500,000 tests it's circa 4m return to GDR

DIVOC have processed 550,000 tests on their start up lab. They now have a second and a national disaster?
1m test won't go far given the magnitude and scale of the Indian Covid national health crisis
Hope I’m wrong but I can’t just see us selling 1 million tests like that straight away when we have literally sold zero aside from a small shipment for BC to demo lol
If Divoc ordered 1m tests it would only last 2 Labs a few months at capacity testing?
GDR have employees in India as well as the established relationship with Divoc who seem to love the test. India need to move fast now so pace likely to pick up. Good for them and good for us. Testing will go through the roof as travel picks up and inevitably cases increase again post lockdown.
