Sellers have got almost on the 1.5p bid though 1.53p has been available but I wonder if we are going to slip beneath 1.5p Not much buying interest in volume and I am suspicious about the growth here. Will the m's mark this lower on reduced activity? I note a £40 buy and a £38 sell in recent days. Who on earth trades like that? I get the sell as maybe you can crystallise losses but the buy??
From another placing
Wasn't the 4m supposed to be enough to get them to profitability?
Still got potential if the Solarwinds partnership contributes significantly, results are not too far away now so the investment case will once again change
Good luck to all invested
Just seen the RNS today from the 11th
Falanx Group Limited (AIM: FLX), the global cyber security and intelligence services provider, announces that its interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2019 will be released on 3 December 2019. These will show revenue growth of approximately 20% as compared with the first six months of the prior period.
Judging by the markets reaction I am presuming 20% growth on H1 2018 does not actually show progress when compared to H2 2018 - So comparing six month periods it is actually down vs H2 2018 - unless historically they have a very strong H2
Seems like a lot of work to be done again to save FLX, the interest will be around the cash position, as said before a 4m war chest for anything less than 'transformational growth' is going to be a massive disappointment for the market
Nicetu, sounds like Shep is still annoying people.
Absolute balloon head, just ignore it, let him
bark to himself and his Station-MASTER.
Certainly will FK. To put your personal email address on a board is an act that speaks volumes. Thank you.
Fair play Teddy. I honestly don't know where this is going but the latest RNS has raised hackles for me. I will honestly be gutted Noel if it turns out that I have been wrong and cost you money but I have only tried to express concerns all the way down. You have driven down the price incidentally with your sell so you have the last laugh Noel. Noel please drop me a line at fallingknife2 at gmail as I would hate to lose you off the board. Such a nice bloke!
That is not my Trade this morning FK1.. far too big to be mine.. my total position is currently only 200,000 shares and while I might add a couple more tranches this will never be a meaningfully big bet for me.
Now that a 'large' seller has cleared and with the Solar Winds roll out hopefully in decent progress I see a reasonable possibility of some s/p upticking here in the coming weeks.. but, of course, who knows with this historically very difficult share.
DYOR and for hard core players only imho. (i.e. be prepared to lose much or even all your bet.. or alternatively maybe even do well here, very hopefully )
Yes FK, that was my last million going. The rest went, dripped fed into the market over recent weeks and months.
I was a total mug. I used to to think like NtM, I used to think things such as his words yesterday - "I draw some comfort from that".
You are the only honest voice on here FK, but you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
Your words made me start drinking, but, sadly, too late. However, better late than never, so I repeat my thanks.
FLX might go up that I am no longer a jinx on the price, but I am happy with my cash in its new home.
Thanks Noel, I appreciate your kind words. Was that your £15,000 yesterday in two trades? Gutted if so, as at 4p etc you would have had substantially more actually. Michu, Noel only meant well when he advised you. He and I may well be wrong but there is no harm in trying to flag something for you are you are one of the decent posters here.
I found the recent RNS exemplifies all that is rotten with FLX. You have to beware what it didn't say rather than what it did!
Was that your trade this morning Michu? It would be an interesting barometer if so.
Ignore FK1 at your peril. I learned that the hard way.
Fine Noel. Altogether, I feel it best that this post is the last time I address you directly on this BB.
Re " it might be a good thing for you" - save me the sermon Ntm.
I will give sermons as long as you keep doing.
If I lose gbp 5k here Noel, so be it, I'm fine with that. Or indeed if I bet plenty more again here and lose the lot I'm fine with that too. But I could win too, nobody knows for sure what the future hold here or anywhere.
Generally, spare me the sermon(s) please and good luck to you in the future. (And if you were to decide to walk away from this BB now - you may not of course, entirely your decision - it might be a good thing for you imho)
Just to make a point in my messages perfectly clear - NtM - in saying "perhaps best wait a year or two more" and "I'm open to doing at least one more top up" you are ignoring the opportunity cost.
As for " I might still get that at under 1.5p..who knows though" - you know. You do know.
Don't you see the illogicality of your words NtM?
FK has been right, right, right and you have never forecast anything correctly, and yet you tell me that I should have hung on for a year or two.
As for " I draw some comfort from that" - all I can say is - you a worse dreamer than I was.
NtM - you appear to have learnt nothing from FK's wisdom.
The cash from my fire sale of FLX will earn dividends and gains in its new home.
If there is anything to be made in FLX, there will be a chance to get back in a lower price than this.
and when this is sub-1p. I'll be reminding of your words NtM.
Don't buy until FK1 advises that it is safe to do so.
perhaps best wait a year or two more before expressing such sincere gratitude Noel ? :-) Although I understand fully your decision as the pressure of sitting on a big position with a large paper loss was having a serious effect on your life, perhaps. And FK has called this excellently, so far, at least, in fairness.
So I'm guessing you sold shed loads of these to close out your position over recent weeks thus explaining - a least to some significant degree - why the price went down from approx 2p to 1.5p recently ? Interesting in itself, as those who bought to cause that raise are still holding/believing then.. and I draw some comfort from that.
(I'm open to doing at least one more top up here....but am thinking I might still get that at under 1.5p..who knows though..)
Drat - "I wish express" should have been "I wish to express".
I lost a load on these, but thanks to the comments on here from FallingKnife1, my loss was a lot less than it might have been and probably would have been.
I wish express my sincere gratitude to FK1. I am now out, right out.
Jonesy, would you mind speaking up? I can't hear you.
NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT AND LETS SEE WHAT SOLAR WNDS CONTRIBUTEIN THE SECOND HALF WILL BE VERYINTRESTING
That £830 trade was me doing a small top up FK.
Revenue up by 20% is clearly progressive.. obviously it doesn't mention how much costs went up though, nor overall profitability/lossability, nor cash position.. etc..
And the second half of this financial year - Oct to March - may, hopefully, see a meaningful contribution from the Solar winds licencing arrangements too .. and that's a new revenue stream altogether .. and hopefully existing ones keep pushing forward too.
(Like many, many AIM Co's) This company is priced as though it's on it's way to failure.. obviously it has to prove to the market differently.... I think it has a sporting chance, or better, of doing that .. but only time will tell.
PS; I understand why AIM these years prices so many co's so lowly: many AIM co's are or will be, in effect, failing co's .. but some will not be and the returns on those who can come good can be very large indeed .. that's why I still play this game... eg one big win makes good for a lot of bad bets.. mine is a laws of averages view though and so I have 10 flx type bets on the go at any one time.. whether flx becomes a winner of not I'm far from sure.. as long as two, or maybe even one of ten 10 do then overall I likely do ok, or better.)
and only one trade of £830. I think the RNS is too scant although it was surely intended to relay good news. Only comment to date is mine too.
