Fastjet are SERIOUSLY pushing their luck now, eyebrows in high places are being raised
Dr George. I cannot agree with you more! Aviation, @Fastjet in specific, should now be monitored the very same way TCRA is monitoring telecoms company in terms of Customer Service and Service Level Agreement. They are simply destroying people's life.
@MbarawaM Mh hii tabia ya fast jet kuhairisha ndege kiholela na mara kwa mara inasababisha usumbufu I got 40ppl traveling to Arusha on Friday for an official event the flight has been cancelled, we will appreciate your attention on the same
Apart from Mugabe the ZANU PF cast from the past 20 years is still in power and there is no way the army is going to relinquish its privileges including an economic stranglehold on the diamond fields and trophy hunting. Outside agriculture Zimbabwe's prosperity was always artificial. In the 1950s/1960s the white settler population was allocated significant economic privileges under the UK government to stop them formally aligning with the Nationalist government in South Africa and.economic.development in Zambia/ Malawi under the Federation was discouraged ( understandable at the time), and in the 1980s.it captured multinational operations trading into Africa while South Africa wad closed for business. These advantages no longer exist and I would hope merely for a gradual stabilisation of the.economy and perhaps some signs of recovery in agriculture and tourism. Taking a contrary view I am happy with the current state of play whereby FJET expand.gradually as their competitive position strengthens. I do not think we need the restoration of direct flights to.Harare by.the like of BA KLM SWISSAIR QANTAS etc which were a feature of air travel up to the late 1990s and which would terminate the need to use the FJET shuttle.from JNB.
Shes busy today en route back to DAR fourth sector lets see if she flies the other two
She only did four sectors today so my guess is the Star Air must still be with us in TZ
Its amazing news for the people of Zimbabwe , this could end up being a spectacular base for Fjet, tourists will flock to Zimbabwe, personally I cant wait to return! It used to be just wonderful, like its people
With Mugabe's resignation Zimbabwe will flourish and this can boost travel for business and tourism and Fastjet should be able to capitalise and grow faster than predicted.
Break even for a single day, then for a single week, and then for a whole quarter. All of a sudden it will easier to raise money, expand and the overhead costs become proportionately smaller with each extra plane. Break even for a single day would would show that FJET has a future.
The Tanzania events have blown that theory or guidance out of the window too, IMO
I believe that when Nico said we would break even in the last Quarter of 2017, I dont believe that he meant we would neccessarily be in profit for the Whole Quarter, Just that we would profitable from which ever day it happens going Forward, as an indication for the next quarter, half year and next Full Year after profitability achieved. This indeed would therefore boost the share price with increased optimism.
fair point let's wait and see, but we need news to know what's happening because at the moment we are in the dark.
Eltonshango, its always nice to post a very complimentary comment from a customer, Lord knows we certainly need them!, whilst I agree with youre comments Im very concerned that the whole Tanzania fiasco will have set us back in terms of two E190 aircraft on ground for six weeks and the cost of the Star Air 737 probably wiping out any profits, I dont think the DAR HRE operated last night as it was showing sold out on all four sectors which Is highly unlikely, I believe the 737 has gone back to SA, and we will operate our much delayed new schedule going forward into our busy next quarter.
fjetcrazy this will be massive we just need to breakeven first and then potential is here is massive. of we can break southern market next year it will be good.
Flew @fastjet on our journey to/from #VicFalls with a Harare connect. Impeccable service # https://twitter.com/papi_mabele/status/932618916077146115
21 St Nov Shes operated the 0600 MWA now flying MBEYA, my guess is she will operate eight sectors today, and will be joined by FJI probably on 23RD , after which we should get back to normal.
Pj, FJH is on her third sector of the day , FJI not operating I believe until Friday, ATCL flights have been operating as normal Regards to mentioned bad weather, will be interesting to see if HRE gets its first E190 service tonight as I hear the B737 which was due to leave is still with us.
Thanks hillwi, I see that we have made 1 return flight to Kili, I hope we manage to get as many people to their destinations today as we can even if late. I hate to see us getting the blame for Weather. At least we should be operating in 2 other Countries hopefully faultlessly.
PJMINVEST, It seems there were severe thunderstorms at DAR this morning, which may have resulted in flight cancellations. OK at the moment, but more thunderstorms expected late this evening.
or is it just a problem with flights out of DAR for US ?
Why no fastjet FJH or FJI flights showing as having flown today yet ?
737 leaves today I believe so a very limited schedule then back to normal on 24TH with the much delayed new schedule, lets hope its a new beginning, the cost of this has been HUGE
