The easy brand is working really well, Stelios said originally it’s the closet theme and link to easyJet. Unless cultures in travel change again this budget makeup, simple, location, pay for what you want etc will work very well. All the hotels are doing well and more expensive built versions like premier are trying to change.
If the hotel building itself in the beginning like Barcelona is based around layout and rooms being maxed others will struggle to compete. It’s purely based around certain budget aspects that lead to high margins
I was in Belfast last weekend and the city is buzzing. New hotels are being built to cater for the fact that Belfast is now a tourist city. Hotels fairly expensive and full. A good time to be opening a budget hotel. The Barcelona hotel should also be a great addition
In sept and August respectively, there is a good line of hotel starts throughout the year and beyond coming into play, a good progression based on money and timescale
They also seem to be pretty slick now at getting buildings done, converted and into play. The standard format helps, it's developing a more modern feel to it all the time but continues to grow.
Barcelona opens soon, the first fully purpose built hotel in the group. Worth some money to the group.
Its doing ok, announcement that Belfast is opening this week and more rooms confirmed both owned and franchised. We are looking at more than double what we have in development which really starts to leverage up the synergies and create some money.
I expect another raising at £1.5 ish in months to come, 40 million shares and huge chunk of cash to keep developing.
Opens sept, seems ages since this was announced but it’s here and a big deal. Large number of owned rooms in one go, really big impact on revenue and ebit.
Northern Ireland still opening plus a few more, be a good year and future
Personally, I wouldn’t compare EZH with fever tree. Fever tree IMO won’t last the pace ; it’s a well marketed fad but is the tonic really that much different to Schweppes or other own brand tonics? If I were invested in FT, I’d take my profit and reinvest in EXH which I reckon is only at the beginning of its cycle and is based on solid foundations

Belfast in two weeks, another 81 room franchise!
Showing up after the close, at 17:07, of 688k shares to a value of £794.64k. Wonder what this implies?
Has 115 million shares in issue, current sp around 3400, revenue £100 million, margin 53%.
Just shows what is possible in a very few years. Easyhotel will continue to grow as long as the business model works and it is. So these revenue comparisons are more than possible.
Premier inn and travel lodge are trying to match the more premium offer but lower costs which is really hard based on how hotels are designed. I think we will see them start to compete directly with easyhotel with similar formats.
They only current way is to cost cut within which isn’t As easy and like the premier I recently stayed out less investment which shows through.
Easyhotel secret is room design, build in the first place, example being Dublin where they take s standard design of around 94 rooms and can turn the same building block into 135ish, this guarantees the margins for life as long as the service is good.
Also in many cases involved a coffee shop on the bottom floor which creates more value in rent than a reception area
They are also flexible enough and brand strong due to easy jet to expand widely and people recognise and trust the brand.
Everyone knows you get less however if booked in advance you pay less. If they keep growing this could become a very big global brand
Which is good news. 94 rooms

Combination of balance sheet and loans. As the business builds the banks will support more and reduce the equity raising need which I like.
It’s starting to build into a good sized business, seeing the results come through and the business model seems to fit with many customers. I hope and think a great future, divi enhancing 2 or 3 years from now
Heard no more about Belfast however reading comes in sept so going to plan and hotels opening at a good pace. The estimate is 2020 we see the big uplift and change in business results making this a £2 stock at least.
The brokers say 2019 to 2020 onwards is when the real change in revenue and profit will start to come through. Some updates on N Ireland not getting licences, think this is franchised however Barcelona is well on its way and another on in EU opened in July.
This is longer term hold, starting to scale to a better size than in the beginning but not generating enough to finance shareholders and new builds as yet
two very big buys today start to take the sp up slightly
Also, good revenue drivers for next year. They say 2020 onwards this share will start to motor
Big change and number of rooms, all owned by easyhotel, designed and created for our customers. Ones like this should really help revenue pick up

http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/16259423.13-storey____orange____EasyHotel_for_town_centre/ Looks promising, the building hasnt been used for years and people arent happy. I guess they will get this right and at a good price!
Sorry that's the openings in mainland Europe, one in July Belfast http://www.irishnews.com/business/2018/05/30/news/new-5m-easyhotel-to-offer-rooms-from-10-1342516/
First of several in northern Ireland https://www.hospitalitynet.org/news/4087689.html
It just needs to keep growing and growing to create more. The numbers are heading in the rightish direction, needs twice as many and then more Rooms. Once sales hit 50 to 60 million I think we will cover costs well, bit of wary ness about uk market, hopefully sterling bring people in
may chance a few % more over the next few days until update. I expect something pretty good, however we haven't found loads of new reasons to have excess costs and expenses and can be the case sometime!
So next will re rate higher with bigger divi and success or drop off. Expect another 20 p if going well
