nice consolidation phase ... bullish :)
Looks like things should improve with delivery. Eve customer services sent this reply to someone on TP this evening:
'by way of explanation and not excuse, our courier partner has been under some significant network stress (which they are now coming out of) which increased the chances of damages and the incorrect delivery notifications you received. In turn this has put more volume in to our Customer Service team and despite our best efforts we clearly didn't get to answer your call as quickly as we should have'
we actually have 4 pillows in total (two memory foam which for me are too firm and recently two much softer ones (I don't know what they are called because Mrs W did the ordering and spontaneously felt that the £700 mattress was not enough so just carried on...)
Anyway, these are meant to be some sort of pillows which are good for if you sleep on your side. I don't know... the upshot is these are fine and comfortable. I am falling asleep just typing this....zzzzzzz
do you like the pillows W? thinking of one for the mother-in-law in France, who's suffering a stiff neck at the moment..
This is only 1 order but we got the premium hybrid delivered with plenty of updates on the way to let Mrs W know exactly what was going on. (it actually came forward a couple of days).
No damage and sprang into shape almost immediately with very little time needed for the mattress to assume its correct shape and dimensions (I mention this only because some reports say it takes a little while for that to happen.)
Plus whatever the figures are in this update, the Wyn household have done their little bit (she got 2 pillows as well....) :0))
Very good information D. Yes any business can only be as good as the weakest link whether it be packaged badly or poor delivery logistics etc. It just seems more difficult in today’s world to get the staff who have pride in their work!
We just bought 3 items from La Redoute. Desks, table top, for kids to do H/W in their rooms (back to school etc.). Three separate orders and three deliveries. Each separate order been badly damaged by careless packing (not transit), and then transit. I wonder if the eve furniture is well wrapped. Mattresses not very vulnerable of course. Might ask about how they find their couriers perform if we get another webinar with Q&A at some point.
the auto-reply from eve a week or so ago mentioned this:
'If your order is being delivered by the carrier named DX, please note, there may be a delay with your order due to unforeseen carrier issues. Please allow 72 hours from your initial delivery date for your order to be delivered. We’ll try to do our best to deliver your order as soon as we can.'
Anyway, I notice on TP a lot of people having problems receiving their deliveries from eve. People sleeping on sofas as they were told the mattress would be there tomorrow, whenever, and then it not turning up.
Hopefully a temporary problem (driver shortages?) and also hopefully not as common an issue as TP numbers imply; TP does tend to be the place to vent frustration when things go badly (as I know myself, with other companies).
News to watch out for:
Has the £1 million spent on French TV campaign (weighted in H1) generated expected revenue and outlook.
Launch of CBD oil and marketing boost from launch etc.
Have UK and ROI sales for July and August weakened or strengthened?
Cash position.
General outlook.
So an update due this week.
I would think most shareholders are just wanting to see EVE can stand on its own two feet and show it can actually make money to sustain itself, its employees and have enough equity to grow. Costs need to be carefully managed and enough sales showing.
A good contract such as the roll out sleepover mattresses may be of interest to trucking companies as the bedding of choice for sleeper cab trucks?
A hotel chain contract supplying the best nights sleep mattresses would be nice to hear about?
These are just ideas that may be worth investigating by EVE?
As always DYOR.
