Wyn, I mentioned Ilika a few weeks ago. They got good news and have more than bagged, and more today. Was a pure gamble though and not one I would have broken my rule for, but interesting nevertheless.

Hello Buenavista. You're a bit late if you want eve shares :-(
yes, thats always a tricky one.
My view is don't over commit on speculatives when waiting for results, but when results come out like this, in other words huge potential, then as its effectively de-risked it makes sense (in my world) to increase holding further.
I think some get caught up in the greed thing wanting to buy in early at a lower price because the "what ifs" if it goes well and the greater potential profit.
(As I have said before, for me every trade (or purchase if people don't like the word trade), is a stand alone contract. I don't care if I bought at 159p if I sell at a profit at some stage in the future. )
I just put some new money in. My hemo is not large enough to make it worth splitting. I've often wondered whether better to buy on results, or before – and take the bigger gamble. Waiting for results with Angle went badly (so far) but AVCT seem pretty well set now!
Glad things are going well for you too Wyn :)
I sold some hemo this morning (as it is still defying gravity but at some stage its got to retrace....)
And picked up a few more at 159p. I think you will be positive ie north of 160p by close of play.
But yes, it is a relief.
Morning wyn!
What a relief!! News 'the other way' would have sunk me. I imagine I am still underwater with avct at 160p but surely it will be a winner now and just a matter of time. I know what you mean about the sure-fire winner which go bad so this unequivocal (I think it is anyway..) good news makes a finance life-saving welcome change for me.
Since I broke my rule (no new money) on Friday I am wondering whether to put another £k in. There could be a retrace at some point I guess and it sometimes takes a few days for the sp to really respond to good news.
A decision for later!
Great news for people with some types of cancer. I feel like telling a woman we know locally but sadly AVA6K could be too late for her.
All the best, D
Well D, (and anyone who took some stock. ) at last!
personally I have had a number of disappointing results from "certs" over the last 24 months or so and at last , at long bloody last, it looks like one has paid off. And what a tech to perfect!
Fingers crossed your £10 is on the horizon! (I am not sure how distant it is but hopefully we will get a better idea over the coming days and weeks)
Anyway, whatever happens this should be a good day ;0))
Hi Yanis, gosh that is a blow. Sorry to hear that. You do these tests to go through the motions, not expecting them to pick anything up. Thank goodness you followed their instructions. If it's any reassurance, two colleagues of my wife had similar (one was having so many symptoms which he ignored that he ended up in A&E) and both are ok, one is 100% fine.
I did have a routine test at 55 (camera) but the one you mention is a few of years ahead of me now.
Do try to stay as worry free as possible and appreciate you'll be off the eve bb in a couple of weeks..
It's a good time to get rid of the eve stress anyway, and concentrate on what really matters.
All the very best, D
Thanks Geeman. I am now in positive territory - my portfolio is now up (been a long time to see this). I am now heavily loaded with MMAG though, but happy with it.
I added more MMAG today, £6k’s worth of shares and the SP closed above my add. Looking at the chart is going to be a very good day for MMAG tomorrow :)
I see your stocks are beginning to move and hopefully they’ll move enough to put you in positive portfolio territory soon, fingers crossed. For Wyn too.
Life is strange though. Now that my fortunes in the markets begun to change I received bad news before New Year, was diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Fortunately early stage and there is a curative solution. Will be undergoing bowel surgery at the end of the month and may disappear for a while.
I don’t know how old you guys are but my cancer was diagnosed during routine bowel cancer test that came through the post. I followed the instructions and sent it back and within two weeks they contacted me with the results. They usually send these tests to the over 50’s. My advice to all is if they are sent these by post is to do the test and return it, is free and can save lives, I had no symptoms.
Hemo is currently the star performer for me up over 50% in a week. RSI stubbornly in the 90's.....
But a bit like you D, one down all down, one up, all up!
Well done Yanis (and wyn)!

Certainly seems to have changed from a loser to a potential winner! I'm still down but far less so. Broke my rule and put a few hundred £s of new money in on Friday (equal amount into HEMO) and don't regret it yet.
When things go badly they all seem to go down at once; when things go well, several rise at once. Would be good if act join the party in my PF. The 'early Jan' passing hasn't hurt the sp today. I guess people must still think the news will be positive, and from a higher starting point if news arrives in the morning. I will remember to top slice but I can also see an argument for doubling up after an initial pull back. There'll be no way of buying first thing on the day of good news. In the past the only time I've bought on good news has been the point the sp is retracing!
Ai doing good D!!!
Yanis, a bit dispiriting but around £10 for AVCT would do it for me, if nothing else changed. You have sorted out your finances remarkably quickly after eve. It shows it can be done. Atb for the weekend.
Hi Geeeman, yes, MMAG has been great for me so far and hopefully it will continue as I am expecting to do. At this level (36p) MMAG is recovering all of my Eve and Angus losses. At 38p is recovering all the losses. I ever made and I am then in positive territory with net portfolio gain.
I do hope that one of your stocks does do a runner mate, you deserve it. All I hear is good reports about AVCT and hopefully they will come up with positive results, is expected to multibag from here. HEMO & IQ-AI look good too, both just taken off from lows and previously peaked at 15/20p. With a bit of luck all three will multibag. Fingers crossed.
I'm with you D. I'll sell stuff if and when they do fall to add to them rather than risk selling with such large spreads.
Just checked the RSI's of Hemo and IQAI. Both look overbought to me atm. Relieves my emotional pull to buy right now (and break my rule) but I shan't gamble too much by selling. I ought to sell I suppose but the spreads aren't wafer thin and it's not as if I have much to sell in the first place.
More hand-sitting till Monday?
Morning Yanis, MMAG doing very well! Unlike you I'm still very far off break even but a good run would be nice.
It is addictive. IQ looking overbought, but I could still double my holding for 1/3 of what I'v already shelled out, and Trevor Brown does have a large personal investment. I also respect the opinion of Nolupus on the BB though I don't think we've ever corresponded.
I'm mulling over MMAG after what you've said. Your amazon experience shows that keeping a few % is a good idea, just in case.
It's nice to have a few going up >20% rather than down 20% for a change anyway :)
Morning Geeeman, Hemogenics doing well too. Was on my watch but never had a chance to jump on. Put nearly all my cash in to MMAG :)
Good luck mate, we deserve a good run after the Eve fiasco.
IQAI up again..
Testing my resolve not to invest new money.
Could sell my SNG and of course then they'd get on the trial.
Sitting on my hands while waiting for AVCT.
yes indeed, after all this time it would be very nice if AVCt could just give an unambiguous upbeat RNS... I mean, how hard can it be.....
I just came on here to mention HEMO wyn! Nice one for you at the price you bought :)
And only just noticed my Iq-ai Ltd (IQAI) also doing well today, though I am still well under water.
Share Price: 2.35 Bid: 2.30 Ask: 2.50 Change: 0.45 (20.51%)
(Just need AVCT to do something similar and then I have some cash unlocked to move to hemo etc, at the right time)
D, Hemo looks good? hopefully things are picking up!
Thanks for highlighting it.
yep, I think this is the "run your profit" stage of the stock pick....
Hi Wyn, so we both topped up on the drop :)
45-50p is a good target but mine is much higher. I believe MMAG will be in the ££s in the coming months. Was at £2 at the IPO and is now in much much stronger position. With good news and a bit of FOMO it should make real big moves. Also, the higher up the SP goes the bigger the move on the same volume, but each to their own risk taking.
Good luck to us.
