All it was …. elimination of inheritance and donation tax. Nothing on grants as yet.
News on the news, jam tomorrow;-)
Sorry, just being flippant
ATB, Pete
If there's anything news-worthy, I am sure there will be a tweet as it's been broadcast so whatever news is already out there...
Let's hope so, at least!

The morning is just a few hours away. Time will tell: just too late.
Possibly official statement (press release). That's not from any translating skills, just looking at the rest of the sentence.
Official signal? Officially-sanctioned (-regulated) signal (broadcast)? No idea really (you can probably tell).

Here's hoping, it seems that they are so far down the line it would be great to get it before the proverbial hits the fan. I have no idea how to post links, but another interesting article I got from Hargreaves Lansdowne is "Zombie companies". Well worth a read. I know the smart people put their money into commodities etc when the market is bad, but not everyone. I really do see EUZ doing ok with this - especially if they do get the grants. Private investors are now looking for safer places to put their money, all of a sudden AIM doesn't feel that risky after all. Looking forward to the RNS :-)
This ESG stuff is interesting from the link I posted the other day also says about companies putting it in their annual report.
What Is ESG Investing?
ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. Investors are increasingly applying these non-financial factors as part of their analysis process to identify material risks and growth opportunities. ESG metrics are not commonly part of mandatory financial reporting, though companies are increasingly making disclosures in their annual report or in a standalone sustainability report. Numerous institutions, such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) are working to form standards and define materiality to facilitate incorporation of these factors into the investment process.
It’s all coming together by the looks of it. I’m hoping we get a couple of announcements next few weeks.
Yep I see this coming period as the fulcrum point about which we'll learn how this is to be funded. There are still some key questions not least only being funded for 'key components' of the PFS - has the subsequent grant bridged the gap? Could the EU / Spain recovery plan mean we won't need a partner or would a potential grant be more realistically on a scale to supplement a deal through AH's work? Have Conrad been doing anything on the pre-production front or is all this hope going to end in a "Europa Metals is pleased to announce that it has raised... through the issue of.... shares...."? Certainly going to be no shortage of gloaters around here if that happens, let's hope EUZ supporters are celebrating last, longest and loudest for once.
Tweet from Junta yesterday
The president of #CastillayLeón demands that the reform of the regional financing model be approached from the consensus of all the communities with the Government of Spain within the Council for Fiscal and Financial Policy. "There can be no parallel bilateral tables.
I’m guessing they will move forward quite quickly. But I’m still saying July before funding as I believe those important results are due very soon. This share should start to pick up over the next 6 weeks. The last raise aswell was for at least 12 months it was said that there couldn’t be another before then. therefore we must have enough in the coffers until August 19th otherwise we would have to delist as you can’t trade insolvent.
Adam Habib also has his 6 month contract ending on the 27th July that’s his 6 month stint. Hopefully he’s putting the final touches on this. GLTA
It does look promising mate but I'm trying not to count chickens. Difficult to imagine a project where a direct injection of cash would stimulate so much more economic activity for the region though, surely we must be part of this recovery plan?
And it looks like we will have access to grants until 2027….. “KPMG recalls that companies should consider that the Recovery Plan will be in force until 2027, so they recommend that their medium-term strategies optimize access to these resources throughout that period.”
Hope so Bricks, a near term mining project would be a major employer in the region plus the boost to the tertiary businesses. Even as a small explorer we have already proven we can provide graduate employment, plus engage in R&D with academic institutions. On the environmental front there's talk of our waste landscaping old quarries, plus synergy with Cementos Cosmos. I think many of us have got a bit weary of seeing this procession of students on Twitter while most of us are underwater with our investments but it could all make sense soon..... hopefully.
It looks like we could receive news on the grant as early as next week imo....
With the torrent of money about to arrive through European funds, few entrepreneurs, especially SMEs and freelancers, know how and where to gather information or present their projects. "Most of the business fabric has never participated in a tender, which undoubtedly represents a handicap", warns Luis Socías from the Ceoe. So what do you need to know to take the first steps towards the Next Generation?
How will the distribution be made? The general criterion is that of competitive competition, through two tools: public contract tenders and the call for subsidies.
-Who can access? Both Administrations and companies through public-private consortia, especially to participate in the PERTE, although companies can also present their projects individually.
How to know the calls for projects? Royal Decree Law 36/2020 established the implementation of a "single window" for companies interested in receiving funds. At the moment, that window does not exist and, today, the best option for the entrepreneur is to go to the CEOExEuropa digital platform. In it, the employers' association offers access to an alert service with all tenders and calls for subsidies, both from their budgets and ordinary European funds from the entire Spanish public sector (from a City Council to a Ministry), as well as those with charge to Next Generation EU funds.
- What basic requirements must be met? To begin, the company must be up to date with tax payments and with Social Security. From the CEOE they explain that the projects presented must add other conditions such as responding to any of the 10 'lever policies' established by the Spain Plan It can be accessed on the Moncloa website (such as reducing the carbon footprint, improving the skills of employees, optimizing costs through digitization, etc.) or having a high degree of maturity. That is, be prepared to run the money immediately.
-How long will it take to assess a project? The norm establishes that "the dispatch of the files will have priority over any other, and the control body must decide within five business days."
-When will the money reach my company? Once the project is approved, the promoter will be able to access 50% of the funds as an advance, without having to wait for the start of its execution. KPMG recalls that companies should consider that the Recovery Plan will be in force until 2027, so they recommend that their medium-term strategies optimize access to these resources throughout that period.
