Teaye….yes we have the resources and I agree with a lot that has been posted recently. The problem for me is the PFS and the fact that our current exploration license expires Nov 23.
If I remember correctly it was reissued again as an “exception” ….and we are running out of time….this interview explains a lot in hindsight….LR clearly wanted to push the PFS almost 2 years ago when we were granted the exploration license…..here we are now in June 2022….not knowing when PFS will be completed. Says a lot to me. I have derisked to a point where I am holding now minimal shares for EUZ and will only buy back in when a clear path to production is published….all to iffy for me at the moment and also no guarantee that our exploration license will continue after it expires as I do believe we were in the last chance saloon 18 months ago hence the exception.

Sheds, agree that we have what's needed. The only questionable point for me with ZINC was the cost of the smelting process and supposedly quite a lot of it being waiting for processing. Might have got that wrong, but think I read it here.
Did we ever find out who was the potential partner that walked at the 11th hour?
T
It wasn't so long ago that I remember reading articles suggesting that the traditional industrial metals would miss out on soaring demand from the renewables sector. It doesn't take much digging to find out that to the contrary zinc and lead are much needed in the green energy drive - interesting article here about the potential for a silver shortage now....
https://www.mining.com/vric-metals-scarcity-could-slow-energy-transition/
Seems we've got the right stuff, at the right time and in the right place, surely someone wants a piece of this???
I have a slight worry that someone is waiting to snap this up for a pittance if the money dries up... however on the same reasoning if this is really all its put up to be, the people waiting for it to run out of money would be desperate not to lose it to a good offer before it runs out of money....?
Well i know what i mean :-)
Haha yes wishful thinking maybe :) I think we need to look to the metallurgy first as I can't see the drilling being over for another two months at least, plus another month for assays. Hopefully a deal can be done after the mets as I see the resource drilling presenting less of a risk. The assays would have to be very disappointing to shake confidence in the resource whereas the final unknowns about the metallurgy could yet impact the economics IMO. Certainly make or break this summer and one thing I do agree with Highside about is limping on with another desperate placing doesn't look like a practical solution to our funding issues.
"Think it's just you and me left Mm's :) "
Sorry to disappoint you Shed :-)
Just wondering if we get the drill results, metallurgy and a clean mine go ahead etc , what is the next phase ?
My guess is these will have to be the key to funding or we will grind to a halt.....
Personally i dont see grinding to a halt as much of an option which is why i think a lot rests on the afore mentioned.
If they were correct last October and they were funded for 12 months we still have 5 months of funding which seems a little optimistic however we dont know what they already had in the coffers at the last 1.5m raise so its quite possible.
I think its fair to say the next 3-4 months therefore will be make or break.
Lets hope that someone somewhere still wants to invest without fear of some stupid windfall tax while a recession is looming and interest rates are about to take off.
I feel so ChrisP shame the drilling hadn’t started on time we would be looking at drill results by now. Always something that delays things for EUZ..
But finger crossed it’s RNS Monday if not I feel the 6th June will be a good update.
They also said they were mapping out what to do with Toral this quarter as you say could be a turning point this summer.
My only concern even with this positive news from Europe and mining fast tracking projects is this other project looming i know they said we were cashed up for 12 months but its never the case if another asset was bought and we’re now at my dreaded 6 months after capital raise.
So if another project is bought in Toral has to have some guaranteed finance backing.
I'm looking at your posts and I think things are lining up for a good summer for EUZ.
@shed probably yes but interesting post from Air Institute
AIR Institute is part of the #SRURAL project, in which it participates together with CARTIF, #Cotesa, Cesefor, and MADISON Experience Marketing. The main objective of the initiative is to achieve the digital transformation of the society of Castilla y León.
The objectives of the project are being achieved as planned, as evidenced in the last monitoring meeting with the partners.

If we start seeing profits from these projects aswell it’s a nice addition.
Think it's just you and me left Mm's :) Funnily enough with the SP so dire I'm more optimistic than ever, with commodity security up front and centre for Europe there would have to be something seriously wrong with Toral for it not to be an important strategic asset for Spain. It's not just the Russia tragedy but the psychological knock on effect of the West finally facing up to dangerous situation of being so dependent on China as well. I think it's likely that the final mets will prove a prelude to further announcements about our corporate future.
Looks like everything is following protocol here don’t be surprised to see a deal done soon. Look at the recent announcements Circular economy, waste all the ducks are aligning.

More likely from an earlier drill IMO Mm's I don't think they'll have reached the main corridor of mineralisation yet though the hanging wall returned some mineralisation before which is higher up.
Good to see more local engagement, I hope they still believe it can improve our chances of game changing help from the Junta. Those coal projects highlighted by Mmn's while not directly related to us, certainly show the appetite for restorative works in the region. I still think we'll get something for the quarries but we need it now rather than years down the line.

I wonder if the picture on that TV is the latest stuff back out the drill hole ….hmm
Todays update
Yesterday we were visited at our headquarters in #ElBierzo by a large group of students #MasterGyGARM of the Official Master's Degree in Geology and Environmental Management of Mineral Resources, from the Universidad de Huelva and Universidad Internacional de Andalucía. With the help of the director of the #ProyectoToral, Luis Javier Perez Rodriguez, our headquarters in Camponaraya became a classroom for 23 alumn@s and two teachers, Jose Miguel Nieto and Felipe González.
Thus, during the morning of yesterday we had the opportunity to share information about the extractive project of #zinc, #plata and #plomo in a didactic session of great mutual use.
Thanks to this group of futur@s geólog@s, it is a pleasure to receive you.
Our thanks extendable to Reinaldo Saez Ramos and Gabriel Ruiz de Almodóvar.

You're probably right even if they get the data back from WA in time it will take a while to compile it into an RNS. The other possible RNS coming up is completion of the first drill, hopefully not deviated as the opening shot was when we last went to this depth!
I personally think nothing will be released until June 6th because of the 2 day bank holiday and jubilee weekend. End of may fast approaching but I can’t see an RNS on Monday unless todays meeting is very successful and something might be signed :)
Quite Mm's hopefully this will encourage partners that Toral is a near term prospect. Once we know that we have a clean resource I think the corporate wheels will start turning. End of the month for final metallurgy according to ProyectoToral - wonder if we'll get the customary delay?

EIT have said mining companies need to communicate their story better maybe EUZ should follow this LinkedIn post!!
Many interesting points and reflections made on the topic of Responsible Sourcing today at the RawMaterials Summit 2022.
“The mining industry needs to communicate its story better. Mining has changed! We are doing some very exciting things right now to transform our footprint. Earlier this month, we launched #hydrogen-powered mine haul truck at one of our South African mines, replacing its diesel alternative, which consumed around a million litres of diesel a year. This is a huge achievement! We need to bring stakeholders along to make them feel part of this exciting journey as well,” said Katie Ryall, Principal for Corporate Relations & Sustainable Impact at Anglo American.
Katie Ryall was joined by Tobias Kind-Rieper, Global Lead Mining & Metals at WWF, Anders Sand, Research Manager at Boliden, Finn Tore Sylte, Director of the Board at Rare Earths Norway AS, Mark Rachovides, President of Euromines - European Association of Mining Industries, Metal Ores & Industrial Minerals, Slavko Solar, Economic Affairs Officer, Sustainable Energy Division at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. #RMSummit

Who should be involved? The key role of ‘organisations responsible for policy’
As a general rule, the partnership should contribute to an efficient implementation of the project and
reflect its objectives.
Since Interreg Europe is a thematic programme, partners must first demonstrate their competence and
experience in the issue addressed by the project (e.g. innovation, economic development, low-carbon
economy, environment). This is important because the partners are the primary source of
experiences and knowledge exchanged within the project. This is also the reason why the
composition of the partnership is a key success factor for the implementation of the project. Partner
regions should be selected on the basis of the thematic issue addressed by the project and on their
capacity to contribute to but also benefit from the cooperation. The rationale behind the choice of the
partners should in principle be clear from the description provided in section B.2 (‘Policy instrument and
territorial context’) of the application form.
Organisations responsible for policies are the main target group of the programme. These policymakers
can be national, regional and local authorities as well as other organisations in charge of defining and
implementing regional policy instruments. The participation of these competent authorities contributes
to maximising the impact of the project on regional and local policies across the EU. The involvement
of authorities responsible for the policy instruments addressed by the project is therefore a prerequisite. If they cannot be directly involved, a letter of support from these relevant authorities must be
submitted with the expectation that they will participate in the regional stakeholder groups. It should be
noted that, for Structural Funds programmes in certain countries, the direct participation of the
Managing Authorities / Intermediate Bodies may be more difficult due to their particular role and task.
Project applicants should refer to the ‘In Your Country’ page on the programme website for more
information
Projects financed under Interreg Europe need to explain the innovative character of their expected
results. It is clear that this notion of ‘innovative character’ is relative: what is common practice for large
public authorities or in a certain European context may be very innovative for smaller public authorities
or in another type of context (and vice versa). The particular focus of Interreg Europe on improving
2014-2020 Structural Funds should also contribute to demonstrating this innovative character.
Nevertheless, it is recommended that, before developing a project idea, applicants check, on the
different programmes’ websites, the kind of interregional cooperation projects that were already
financed (http://www.interreg4c.eu) or that are currently supported (http://www.interregeurope.eu).
Ideally, they should make sure that their own project and its expected achievements will be of addedvalue compared to these past or existing initiatives.
The issue of a project’s added-value is particularly important for follow-up projects (i.e. partnerships that
were supported under previous EU programmes such as European Territorial Cooperation
programmes). These projects need to clearly demonstrate how they will go beyond their past
cooperation. This added-value can particularly be reflected in the following project features:
? the proposed partnership,
? the topic tackled,
? the focus on Structural Funds programmes.
4.3.4 Durability of the project’s results
One of the basic requirements of any public funded project is to demonstrate at the application stage
that the lessons learnt from the project will not be lost at the end of the funding period.
The approach of Interreg Europe is innovative in this regard due to its phase 2, which has been
introduced for all projects. This phase will allow for better insight into the way the lessons learnt from
the cooperation are implemented in the different partner areas.
The way applicants envisage how the project will influence regional policy instruments has to be
explained at the application stage. In particular, if the expected improvement of policies requires
dedicated funding, applicants should clarify how they will ensure such funding will be made available.
In Interreg Europe, the expected results of projects are by essence durable since they relate to the
integration of the lesson learnt from the project into the relevant policy instruments of the participating
regions. The project’s contribution to the work of the Platform can also contribute to the durability of the
project’s results.

4.4. Partnership
4.4.1 Partnership composition
Who should be involved? The key role of ‘organisations responsible for policy’
As a general rule, the partnership should contribute to an efficient implementation of the project and
reflect its objectives.
In all seriousness I've always thought that the restoration work should be a route to grant money. The problem is we'd be lifting the material to re-landscape the quarries years in the future but we need the money now. Is this anomaly a sticking point or can the authorities assist us now?
This is what is supposed to happen and what LR was going on about
