Yes that's correct eryryss. Prob would be just under that price or just over it depending if the market throught there might be a possibility higher bid but it would be around the price stated for the sale.
Wkworld,
Well explained.
So if the sp is 30p today and market cap is 800 million then if the final sale price was, for argument sake double today’s market cap, then would the sale price automatically shoot to 60p or thereabouts.....?
Genuine question..
I was in SXX and when the offer landed at 5.5 the share briefly went above the offer price for a day or two and then sunk down to 5.4.
Upon the announcement of a sale the share price will not fall back. You will have the choice of selling and getting slightly less than the sale price or waiting and getting the full amount or perhaps the possibility of a higher counter-offer.
Purely personally speaking, nearly all massive spikes I've seen on AIM have then only dropped back (exceptions include Synairgen and Novacyt), so I'm going to sell as soon as I can after the sale hits. Any advice from others would be greatly welcome too, though.
I am wondering if the time to sell would be just after there is the sell. I also feel that I will probably learn alot from you guys by being on here and watching it all unfold :)
Definitely sit tight. There are never any promises, and no real idea how long but - when the time comes - I agree a minimum 55p, likely nearer 85p, anything more would be an absolute bonus!
Lots of calculations around value and share price... assuming 38p =roughly a $1billion valuation, a sale price of even $3-$5billion sale price could be in the region of 114p-190p.
Sure - its a big "IF"... but even worst case scenario you should get your 34p back.
Emma,
Worst case scenario, no sale. Write your money off. Set a reminder for 5 years and you'll be laughing.
Good luck
Red panda,
Be careful about telling everyone about the boat you're in: Tilly may give you a job ;-)
Good luck
I’m sure most people have been down on this share at some point or another. IMO very likely the sale is happening and likely 3 bagger at least from here. GLA
Nothing foolish at all about buying an asset at a price lower than it will shortly realise.
I'm right in the same boat as you! My average is 34p and am just starting out, jumped the gun and bought on the spike at 37 thinking news was imminent but have averaged down now
Hold on tight, hopefully there will still be a decent profit for us newbies!
Think there should be a decent return on that EmmaC. Just sit tight until sale.
My personal opinion only. Happy days ahead.
Newbie sit tight. Worst case on a sale here is 45p.
Upside could be anything upto £1.50
I bought my folks some at 32p.
Great, to get some people's perspectives. Only just starting out and have alot to learn!
There will be a few about at the 30p mark and I would say hold. If this sale does finally come then I should think you will get some return on your investment.
I have a few at 32.2 so not far off. Thought it was worth the risk based on the fundamentals of the company. Regardless of the recent rise in the sp. We will see
Hi all, I bought in at around 34. Which I can see how was probably a little foolish. Is there any hope I wonder of making a profit? I am prepared to hold for as long as it takes!
