Great to see Mac4671 and TDT congratulating each other. May I join in as one of the old guard of investors in EUA, mine going back 10 years and I would like to thank them both for their helpful contributions. As they know my signature was always Strong Buy, which seems to have worked especially last month as my ISAs were 2 years old,so no Cgt and no Death Duty which at 83 is a definite bonus. Looking back, I was told by my late wife and now by my fiancee (of 20 years) that my positivity verged on insanity, but I tell you what it is a great way to live. We all needed that when investing in EUA!,!
"to mop up any sellers wanting to cash in after 3 months of needless worry"
All my needless worries have gone, since the Nomad signed - I can hold for months now np.
Fair to say the news on next few RNS will be what it is, how you react is down to your thoughts on the next few months.
I'll be looking for another million shares minimum, whatever the opening price.
If some of the whispers we hear about are in the next RNS, then I'd love to buy even more but suspect the opening price will limit that!
eric, always the way of it on AIM?
the longs will try to appear to be happy long,
& the shorts will try to appear to be happy short.
i think the hope of some trader types, on this and other AIM shares,
is that although ramping / deramping won’t change the actual data
that gets released by RNS if the share is released from suspension, it
might change the way in which pis initially interpret any news that has
been released. might also make them slower to react if it turns out that
news is not what they were expecting (so others could trade out quicker.)
Ah yes that makes more sense, thanks Spikeyj, I was out on my morning walk when I read your message earlier so clearly multitasking doesn’t suit me.
I guess all the ramping and deramping in the world won’t change the details in the RNS.
I’m not ramping now when I refer all to the recent RNS’ regarding our new NOMAD, numerous NED’s, licenses etc. Annual results should be out soon, it will be interesting to see what sales were last year with the rising palladium price and very high Rhodium prices at the end of last year plus the forward looking statements. No need to ramp a suspended share
hallster, it’s not that complicated.
people who are long during suspension may have an interest in trying to
talk up sentiment, so that they will have better chances to sell if this share
does resume trading but the company news is not particularly impressive.
people who are short during suspension may have an interest in trying to
talk down sentiment, so that they will have better chances to buy if this share
does resume trading but the company news is not particularly negative.
& there are a lot more traders trapped in this share who are long than short.
Hallster
He is a known unknown.
Still have the spade in the car by the way!
Graeme
Thanks for the baffling clarification Spikeyj. Are you George W Bush?
Spikeyj,
You have left me utterly confused with that post addressed to hallster. May I suggest you have a coffee. JJ
hallster, the logic works the other way round too. the benefits
of ramping a suspended share could be that if this does come
out of suspension, those shareholders who are perhaps greedy
/over-enthusiastic and have been taken in by the ‘positivity’/
ramping buy (or at least hesitate to sell even if the news is poor),
so potentially share price rises or holds relatively steady giving
the rampers better opportunities to sell ... sauce for the goose...
the traders who were long in EUA & unexpectedly trapped
by the suspension need to ensure that there will be other
people willing to bid to help them exit, if this trades again,
(& there were a heck of a lot more traders long than short.)
Morning Frank
“RE: What a rideToday 00:13
Nothing gained on ramping a suspended stock, so what, therefore are the benefits of de-ramping the stock in this light. jesu, louise. never went to that hypocrisy class.“
The benefits of deramping a suspended share is that when it comes out of suspension the shareholders who are perhaps nervous and have been taken in by the negativity sell and potentially the share price drops as well you know. Not hypocrisy, they are polar opposites.
It has certainly been very entertaining since the bank RNS in oct, it was a rather quiet board up until then.
I'll miss TDT, he has been here for years and has been by far the best researched deramper, a lot of the others are like school kids in comparison, but like everything else it all has to come to an end at some point sadly.
The well researched investors who joined have provided some extremely good posts throughout, and i'll definitely miss seeing such dedication and accuracy with what they post. Some of what gets dug up, so to speak, is pretty fantastic tbh.
There is nothing to ramp here, the assets are what they are, previous drilling and geological studies tell everyone what's in the ground.
Roll on the 'BIG NEWS' day and that journey into the sunset with oodles of treasure!
GLA
ThisisMine, you never know, in a few months we may all be sat on a beach in the Bahamas sipping ****tails together and discussing how happy we are that we didn’t miss the EUA ride.
Thanks Hallster, no frankey, just excited...
Nothing to gain from ramping a suspended share. Based on what we know from RNS posted previously I believe that we will have a very good update within the next 6 weeks detailing the offer(s) received, partial or full company / asset sale, special dividend if asset sale only. Absolutely no reason to ramp the share price, the facts will be the facts in due course. My version may be wrong but it’s what I believe to be the case.
I don't post much but I pretty much read everything on here and twitter about EUA. Can't wait for the biggie obviously, but there's a real community feel here that I think I'll miss once we've all walked off into the sunset, accounts significantly enhanced...
