The CT full increase is only for companies with profits in excess of £250k. It is tapered below that and if I remember correctly £50k profits and under remain at 19%
Well done to you Tilly but you did have a go at the 'State'....
Toon & all
No I haven’t furloughed any employees as we have kept working even in the difficult circumstances as in construction mainly domestic .
& certainly wouldn’t milk the system with a spurious claim .
Rums all Round
The headline manifesto pledge was "We will not raise the rate of income tax, VAT or National Insurance." No mention of Corporation Tax, so where is this pledge breaking you are on about Tombi1?
tooon do as you want but consider tombi ridiculous responses and make up your own mind.
Horse, why should I listen to you about who I should filter or not? Maybe I should filter you...?
having just read all of Tombi's pathetic rants i have have decide he is mentally deficient. please filter him as i have.
Sadly it's the nature of the beast. No one would vote for someone who says "they'll try" to do something, so people say they "will" do something, then find reasons why it didn't happen.
Bye tombi. As said wise up and learned the real world. Hurry now, your mother has tested the milk on her arm, it’s mild for you now little boy.
Tombi, that is some of the most ridiculous nonsense I've ever had the misfortune of reading.
If I can use a simple analogy - It's like agreeing with your boss to go in an hour early to carry out some work...that evening your house catches fire, 4 tires on your car have been slashed...end result is you ain't going in an hour early.
The intention and agreement was to not raise taxes / be in an hour early. 'Acts of god' / massive world changing events can't be legislated for.
Agree Mac, they made mistakes (who didn’t in this horrible situation) but economically and from a vaccine view point they seem to have ppl on the ball.
From a personal perspective happy with the budget.
gotcha little boy you couldn't help yourself so funny , pathetic
Bye tombi, wise up!
I’m sure their maybe a CBBC bitesize video you can watch on politics. Maybe to advanced for you though. Hurry along now, I think your mother needs to feed you.
Child.
Name one Prime Minister or party that hasn't broken a pledge?
Hopefully the likes of Amazon etc will be paying their way. They should be.
Thank god they did do a u turn, they had to help the country out through this unprecedented event.
So Tilly you never had to furlough anyone and were not able to apply for loans/grants etc. What sort of business do you own that does not come under some sort of Government backed support scheme?
tomb1 14.37 a pathetic response, stop and think will you, there is a worldwide pandemic at this time, extraordinary circumstances calling for extraordinary measures. face reality and accept that these circumstances are beyond the norm, there wasn't a special fund available to cope with this, not by this or any other government, we might not like it but we do have to accept it. perhaps you thought Boris could pay for it out of the monies he has saved from the EU?
Capn Tilly
Have a quick hour with Septic Lil and her half sister Good Time Dirty Gerty..

ill repeat then i wont answer again they made a full pledge no ifs no buts , whatever happens we wont yes we wont raise taxes all bull we have , liars , dont reply as this is not fair as not the right board , you have had your say and i have had mine , leave it at that if you can little boy , keep going back to covid is irrelevant they pledged it another u turn , you can spin it as much as you want but they pledged it not me and they have done a u turn , leave it there if you can
Half of what we owe (our debt) is from the Bank of England. That is good because the term will be about 60 years. Any profits the Bank of England makes goes to the Treasury.
Just catching up on the budget posts
, as some of us run full time businesses as mine is a ltd company, I’m been leathered on ct ,
Yet never had a day off through the whole COVID & never received £1 from the state
Can’t help but feel it’s more punishment for those who work hard & make success .
Perhaps I need more Rum
Tax increases are inevitable, i think what's currently presented isn't too bad tbh. They've looked after millions with furlough schemes and the self employed payments etc. What it all shows is that the current system works fairly well to an extent, even in a global pandemic the majority have been looked after and the country is able to move forward with a plan.

Suspect tombi1 is a Nicola Sturgeon fan and Scotland's fiscal policy being totally reliant on 'oil revenues'....
Tombi - I’ll write this one last time, maybe you will understand but I doubt it.
With conservative, Labour or any other U.K. political party who made pledges during the last election, did they forecast a world wide pandemic? Answer is no.
One happened, we have spent billions, who and how do you expect it to be paid back, that’s right tax rises. So the argument to say ‘you shouldn’t have made that pledge’ gets blown out of the window.
Pretty sure Labour or any other party would have had to change their approach due to a pandemic. If you don’t accept that you are deluded!
Good day and stay safe. I pledged not to wear a face covering in 2020/2021, oh a worldwide pandemic happened, I changed my mind and took the guidance of the experts.....funny that I had to break my pledge.
lol , you have no idea then commenting on what you don't know , boy oh boy
