Squif, just my way to say, hold your positions even how miserable SP have been last 5 years or last weeks.
It’s good to spread risks on other oil shares but I really believe Enq have most potential if oil go to 100.
And I think there good chance this will happen soon
Why barbed wire Pelle? I will buy more oil shares....just not Enquest
Squif, may I suggest eat barbed wire and buy more oil shares.
The world will realise over next 1.5 years how dependent we are on oil supply
Thanks NorthernMonkey. I will keep breathing deep :-)
TLW is down by -30% from its peak of 65p in March and we are down by nearly same amount from the peak of 25p in March. PMO/HBR down by more than -30% but PMO story is bit different.
The downtrend is nothing specific to ENQ. Hopefully from May and in June, we are back to 25p.
US and UK vaccination rate should be up by 75% by June or even before that and that should bring confidence to the market on oils.
hi squiff, we both have about the same breakeven and its not great at the moment but dont let the fustration get the better of you, breath in through the nose and exhale through the mouth, and relax... gla monkey
Thankfully that would be assigning a level of intelligence to AB that I doubt he possesses. A few years ago someone put it well when they stated that he is a risk taker with poor timing. I think that is probably a good assessment. I haven't seen any change in behaviour. I think it is a step too far to state that the bankers are backing Enquest and their purchase of Golden Eagle. Indeed, Enquest state as much in their going concern statement. They have reason to believe that they will get the backing but nothing definite. I think this uncertainty has definitely pushed down the sp more than other oilies. I don't use the term peers any longer because they are all much larger than this minnow.
Thanks Pelle
So better than Tlw who are at about $50 i think even Bp are about $48
So for a small co we are doing great imo
A lot of bull xxx on here. The SP will sort itself out eventually. It is clearly a sector sell off which seems to be affecting all UK list oil cos.
The russia story is interesting...I wouldn't be surprised if the whole world has lost about 5%+ production capacity on average through lack of investment (natural declines are about that). I don't think we will know the full impact on supply side for another few months.
Current prices are not high enough to encourage investment.
Primetime, around 35 usd breakeven.
They talked about 27 before but need add few bucks for interest and higher fuel cost
Yes brent is the main driver on the Sp but at $62 -$64 i wouls have thought enq would have held up better. FCF at them prices should be impressive.
How much is our breakeven what did we get it down to ?
This is huge imho. Should have spiked up about 2-3$ on this but probably brent is seriously manipulated, no reaction in oil price at all.

As I mentioned this morning, its all about Brent, take a look at most Oil shares - including the majors - the share graph for the last 3 months for most shows a very similar pattern.
They all start from a low in early February with a healthy increase until early March then a slow decline since then.
Its simply a waiting game now until Covid declines and oil demand starts to outpace supply - its just a question of when.
I will be keeping an eye of Brent and BP's SP to get some idea when to potentially buy ENQ - both are good early indicators.
Srlsly? I think AB doing all he can for the share holders. Not his fault oil price went down 2014 and then again 2016 and then covid. Its ridiculous. He bought alot of shares 2019 around 20p. Debt reduction is priority now and its going quite well after what i can se.
Agreed primetime and well put.
Enq is not the only small oiler down Hbr Tlw oh & big old Bp. Our creditors are backing enq otherwise we would not be buying into the ne lieence with out there backing. I how ever do not &can not work out why enq hrb tlw are going down last few days with poo sitting at $63 baffled
Squif AB might be the one keeping the SP under pressure, waiting for holders to lose patience, his plan might be to take the company private and then unleash its value.
Us poor shareholders might be kicked off the boat before the engines start firing up
The sp development is difficult to understand but many energy stocks are under pressure. Nevertheless, shareholder wealth generation is nothing short of an unmitigated disaster in Enquest. I feel sorry for AB that he has had to find out the hard way that he is not up to scratch as CEO and that he has ploughed his family wealth and trust monies into this dog. At least most of us LTH have a day job where we get job satisfaction. AB must feel like he has been in a never ending nightmare that started August 2014 and he has ploughed £80M pounds and 11 years of his life into something that has generated a return of roughly -60%!
