Aerial - it seems we did the same during the crash. I bought £5K in Barratt for 32p and sold when they got over 600p
Lots to buy then BUT still could fail... Am about 50% on LSAI at the moment
BigEye
I feel into lsai as I punt and got trapped, but escaped. I'm not sure what JohnZ average is, but might find out at the EDL AGM if I ply him with alcohol..
They say there are winners and losers, and I don't want to add salt, but (as I have posted before) my first real biggie was RBS when I took a Call Option (long option) as it crashed)) at 10p which turned out to be the very bottom. I closed the Option at circa 52p which I put straight back as it continued to recover. Again more luck than judgment, and both the Option I took and the reinvestment of the proceeds was strongly advised against by my then Brokers account manager a 24ct W*****!
As sung by Ruby & the Romantic's and later by Amy Winehouse:
"Our Day Will Come" !!
An update shouldn't be too far off hopefully.
Agree Aerial, for me it was Abbey National!
Again well done to you and JZ for holding onto sail, I held AQAI formerly Flying Brands but apart from that no teckies. I got a bonus when I worked for the RBS group-took it in shares so my wife could'nt spend it, then the big crash happened, LOL!
I'm not going to mention my good one in case nobbie and assh-le turn up, I have mentioned it before so you can check it out if you are really really bored at 2 am in the morn.
Alls well with me and EDL looking forward and when EDL succeeds I am going to rip into most of the posters here! HeHe
BigEye Very true !
My inception was back in November 1984 when I was lucky enough to get a chunk (as it was a lottery) of the Governments 3bn BT Share Offer shares, and unbeknown to me turned out to be the start of my trading rollercoaster.
There can be many winners during a trading life, but as you rightly say, you have to be very lucky (and it is luck) as you can't research the future)) to catch more than a few BIG winners.
I (and JohnZ) are lucky enough to currently hold one of those in an Intangible tech @ LSAI, a share where 20 or so months ago they were saying things like "last one out turn out the lights" (where have we heard that before?).. As is my nature, I chased a large loss as LSAI spiralled downwards in 2017,.. and as a consequence of my ill considered (by some)by many))actually by most))) judgment I was one of the first remaining lth's to achieve a profit. Currently better than 50% up on my investment there.
LSAI has already been voted best share on AIM a couple of times this year, and by its Intangible nature is suggesting by Location Sciences Board Advisors Paul Thompson that it is just gaining traction and is expected to rise exponentially. Imo as an Intangible tech the potential there is inconceivable.
Another current example of tech is BIDS who went from 4.25p to 39.5p in exactly 6 months between Jan 19 and June 19..

My personal experience has proved to me that beyond a shadow of doubt nothing is necessarily over just because others say it is !!
Edenville's day will come imho!
"NOT ADVICE, NO ADVICE GIVEN"
All impe please dyor. Shares go up and down !!
This is a copied tweet and it is so true
All you need is three or four big winners during your lifetime to beat the market. Everyone else will think you got lucky, but everyone else didn’t have the discipline to find them, buy them, and hold them.
The Company's AGM will be held at the offices of:
Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP
4 More
London Riverside, London SE1 2AU
At 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 23 July 2019.
https://www.womblebonddickinson.com/uk/locations/london
The Womble Bond Dickinson building is diagonally to the right of City Hall looking with your back to the Thames, and has the tall satellite type sculpture outside as shown in the link above.
There is no easy access or parking for cars or motorbikes, and sits just feet inside of the LCZ/ULEZ.
By tube: The nearest underground station is London Bridge Station on the Jubilee and Northern Lines. Tower Hill, on the District and Circle lines, is also close but involves walking across Tower Bridge
By rail: The office is near London Bridge Station, served by Thameslink, Southeastern and Southern
By bus: Routes RV1, 381 and 100 alight near More London
Parking: More London is a pedestrian zone and there is limited on-street parking in the vicinity. The nearest car park is behind Guy’s Hospital on Kipling Street.
Don't they usually issue a RNS on the day of the AGM, or is it a few days before?. Whichever it is, hopefully it will incorporate results, yields and progress with regards to the coal fines and the new fines buyer etc. The updates are rarely what we hope for, but I really think the next one has the potential to be considerably better as thing appear to be coming together.
