Any takers?

...it's darkest before the dawn!!!!!!
Wouldn't surprise me, the interest in Edenville seems to be rock bottom.
Holy Moly nobi, what does that mean?
There will be no CFPP so it's a non- sequitur..
"The Tanzanian Government power planning programme shows the need for a base load plant by 2026."
If we sign a deal to supply a CFPP that opens by 2026, when do people expect the Tz government to start paying Edenville for coal??????
For blue trades, back to red.
We need the facts not the jam
HE1 top of the risers!
esquimo
There’s so much in the pipeline and on several different fronts. It’s getting boring, but my best current share HE1 is alleviating that !! Don’t you just love helium :))
Aerial, I agree that any news could come as a surprise to the general market but I doubt any co. is watertight.
There's an old saying a secret is no longer a secret when two people know.
I don't think that I've known such a long extended period in EDL's past when there has been so little interest in trading.
I think that they've migrated to HE1.
We do know that in the next 6 weeks there will be news due to the interims with whatever impact that will have on the SP.
The run up to the interims will be a lot different to the current level of trading. Just my opinion!
Aerial when you say "It’s unlikely any company would release a major/comprehensive update late in the week"
If price sensitive activity takes place they would have to announce it, it wouldn't matter if it was Thursday or Friday. Remember the Friday 3.25pm placing RNS?

It’s unlikely any company would release a major/comprehensive update late in the week, so still anybody’s guess atm. …
As previously mentioned I doubt there will be any warning of news prior to the event after the previous leak.
Given TANESCO's acceptance that coal is the quickest and most reliable approach to the energy shortage that is holding the countries economy back, it would seem reasonable to expect a mention from EDL as to their expected involvement via a CFPP in their next news release.
The lack of any volume doesn't indicate news imminent.
Week? Smile

“He said the amount was enough to produce electricity for the nex”. … lol
Haha Aerial I hope it is a typo knowing our luck it isn't

There’s more than one typo!
300 tonnes isn't going to go very far :-))
Tanzania Daily News (Dar es Salaam) 13 August 2021
THE Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) and State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) have inked a deal to produce electricity from coal targeting to pump into the national grid about 200 megawatts of electricity.
Speaking immediately after signing the agreement at TANESCO headquarters in Dodoma, STAMICO Acting Director General, Dr Venance Mwasse, said there was over 300 metric tonnes of coal at the area. He said the amount was enough to produce electricity for the nex
"This project will help add value of the precious mineral in the country, allowing the nation to benefit greatly," he said, adding that it is expected to start after the experts have conducted a thorough feasibility study.
According to the acting DG, the project was in line with the government industrial economy drive which demands for more and reliable electricity production. Speaking at the signing ceremony, TANESCO's Director General, Dr Tito Mwinuka, noted that the government was committed to increasing electricity production into the national grid through different sources, including coal. He added that the signed deal was part of the initial agreement between the two institutions as the experts commence initial studies any time soon. Dr Mwinuka observed that production of electricity from coal would reduce the cost of power in the country and increase stability at the national grid.
The TANESCO boss stated that currently there were mainly two sources of electricity production in the country as 55 percent come from gas while 36 percent from hydro production.
"Power production from coal therefore will be the third source of production and probably the cheapest" he said.
According to Dr Mwinuka, the mineral at Kiwira have not been exploited for a long time and once the production starts, it can produce 200 megawatts of electricity to the national grid.
He said TANESCO will have the responsibility to oversee implementation of the projects, adding that it will help connecting many Tanzanians with the utility.
Just another bitter failed ex investor imo !
It's convenient to quote current energy production, what is important is the future production requirements ,that is what the TZ gov. is looking at and there is no way renewables will be able to supply that demand even if they do play a part, therefore coal which is fast and currently cheaper more reliable and more controllable to meet unexpected demands, that is why the TZ gov. are choosing coal.
I don't believe that N1 believes the rubbish he is spouting, his main purpose is to antagonise anyone who bites.
“Pal” lol
Not a good time for naysayers!
Thank you Harry Aerial for once again corroborating my assertion.
You're correct, Tzn sources only 9% of its electricity production from coal.
This, together with the astronomical spot price of coal strengthens the argument to utilise other energy sources which are far much cheaper.
Hence the fall in SP by circa 1500% since January 2017.
Coal is dead and you know it Pal.
"Inking" reports are not contracts! Lol
Apparently NOT in Tanzania, and what the Tanzania Government say is the only thing relevant to Edenville!
