Aerial the good news we were hoping for hasn't happend the rest of the news is is what we have been told before?
The RNS gets better every time I read it!
Interesting that Edenville have come through every single obstacle to-date. Everything that has ever been suggested by the naysayers and death spiral mongers hasn’t happened. Finding coal, the Mining Licence, Buying and Shipping the plant half way round the world, becoming Operational, the nullification of the Mining Tenders, the Lind Loan to name just a few. Most of them ‘fear’ I think was a recent word used, or worry that the company might just succeed and spoil their agenda.
We have seen in recent weeks the larger investors adding and RAB etc. I doubt they are whining and I am sure they understand, and are aware of the bigger picture.
Oh dear it’s been raining in Tanzania (in the rainy season?).. PMSL
Some people are bereft of an ounce of positivity, or it’s all an agenda driven front!

teaye just say its been slolen and your sorting it out.
Greenwolf If it was flooding that excuse would have been used .
Aerial - I slipped up yesterday and added in a moment of weakness.
Today I shall remain firm in my resolution and ignore the temptation.
Besides, my wife would notice if I sold the car....
:)))
Happy Friday, all...
There was flooding in the region in January so I suspect the annual rainy season might not have been too kind to us.
Proper clarity from the BoD would be nice - I agree that six months to deal with permit issues is just not cutting it

Not to worry, more time to increase your holding at this bargain price!
8.02352% cheaper than we both bought last week, but circa 54.5452% more expensive than late December 2020. ...
Sausage even with covid the workers are outside in diggers trucks ect and can distance quite easily for working , so as you say just what is the problem.
Now we have no hint of a hand over date even being agreed on as usual something is wrong and we are not being told.
...they've been known to push out a Friday 3.30pm RNS, but those ones are generally bad news.
I'm still expecting Edenville to RNS that covid 19 is impacting on its operations. It impacted first time around and just can't see how the smoothie approach to eliminating covid is going to help any one in Tanzania get through this.
It's taken over 6 months and still no hand over, I just can't believe it's visa or the general election that is still preventing the hand over.
Gla but I think now after 6 months there's more to the handover happening than we have possibly been told about.
Clearly not!
...a Friday RNS?!
Cheer up, everyone. Assumption is the mother of all FUs.
We will have to be told what’s keeping the large investors quiet soon...

Yep they definitely arrive in pairs.
Misery likes company.
Whilst the rapid spread of solar photovoltaics (PV) across Africa has already transformed millions of lives, it has yet to have an impact on the main energy need of poor households: cooking. In the context of falling global PV prices, recent advancements in battery technology and rising charcoal/fuelwood prices in severely deforested regions, the door is opening for a potentially transformative alternative – solar electric cooking (PV-eCook). While initial investigations focused on solar home systems sized for cooking (cooking device, battery storage, charge controller and PV array), it has since been shown that battery-supported electric cooking (eCook) can also strengthen national, mini, micro and nano grids. This paper presents a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) based methodology, accounting for a wide variety of socio-cultural, political, technical and economic factors which are expected to affect the uptake and potential impact of eCook across a variety of African contexts. It shows the concept has considerable viability in many African countries, that there are significant sizeable markets (millions of potential users), and that within the next five years the anticipated costs of eCook are highly competitive against existing ‘commercialised polluting fuels"
Interesting research paper for all open minded energy investors! (Sciencedirect)

Where ever you live or whatever your occupation there's always one that tries to sell something that doesn't work or doesn't exist, always with a smile and polished teeth.
"I’m sure there’s a word for that!" There is...LOSER
Could you imagine spending your precious time on a BB share chat where you are not invested.

Is Knob Rot still boring people about coal. Jeez.. What a Nob.
Oh nobi, you are a one!
Get your £ 's last Friday or did you take shares?
And coal aint dead yet, as well you know.
You are correct coal will come to an end when there is the technology that is able to supply sufficient energy to replace coal.
Coal has never been dead since ancient man dug it up from the north Yorkshire moors 3,000 years ago, Africa will need coal for some years yet and that is not including India etc, that is why two of the largest investment companies are almost neck and neck with the billions they've invested in coal
The days of coal being a relevant power source are coming to an end, and there’s little that can probably stop it. Some of the United States’ largest and most successful coal companies are closing their doors after their market value vastly diminished in 2019. By the end of the year, US coal companies were trading at half their rate compared to the beginning of 2019, indicating a serious stalling in the sector’s effectiveness as the nation’s preferred energy source.
The SNL Coal Index sank 53.5% from December 30, 2018 to the same day a year later, according to S&P Global. The growth of sustainable energy platforms and Earth-friendly programs from some of the world’s largest corporations are contributing to a change in tune from Wall Street.
Well said GW , respecting people's right to their opinion is a societal moral code that everyone should adhere to.
It is everyone's right to disagree with an opinion and still show respect to the person. Alas, this is not always the case.
