Up 3.44% ! I was wondering why the price wasn't moving, now wondering why such a big rise in just a few hours.
LOTS OF OIL ACTUALLY BEING SOLD but does not rise like other oilies who have not produced enough to fill my car. I know some say there is manipulation of share price but these comments are only voiced when the price goes down not when it goes up. Does anyone have any other theory as to why this share is not a lot higher?
Dr Abdul Jaleel Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "I am pleased to report the successful completion and solid initial test results of the Dzheitune (Lam) 28/152 and B/153 development wells, the first two wells of this year's 11-well drilling programme to have been put into production. Both rigs, the NIS rig and the Iran Khazar rig, are already drilling the next two wells. "Following the transition over to the new 30-inch trunkline and associated in-field pipelines, we are continuing to see strong average daily production rates in excess of 57,000 bopd in February and March 2011."

I have received the forms for dividend payout which includes a form to be filled in by the uk tax autorities on enquiry it takes 8 weeks after receipt anybody have any ideas ???
Conflicts that may be causing uncertainty will soon get sorted out IMHO . Even the Japanese tragedy will get sorted in time . For what it is worth hang on to your shares , they will gain ground that was lost recently . None of my business of course but this company could be one of the volatile shares that are targetted by short time buyers who could be in it for small but regular gains . Best of luck .
about the div pay out etc ? any comments about the drop will it steady and then increase/ decrease ( trying to get a 3/4 month plan)
Has anybody just had a pack of forms to fill in ??????????please help
In the early nineties DGO had a consolidation of 25 to 1 therefore your share certificate is correct 1540 divided by 25 equals 61.6. Therefore a share price of one pence became 25 pence.
I am the same as libbey. I only bought 1540 shares in 1987. I have my original share certificate, but I misslaid the red share certificate they sent out. I applied for a new one and I have received one that has only 61 shares on it. Can some one enlighten me, as I too am a novice and cannot understand this. Help please.
5000/0.25 200x 575.50 1150.00 (ish)( there about)( don,t quote me on this) ( still a novice on this myslef) or you could just use the Dragon Oils main web site share price calculator
Oops my husband bought the shares in 1997, it just seems like 29 years ago and we found our share certificate, however, we originally spent £150 and got 5000 shares and these have now went to 200. I am confused as I am a novice at this.

my husband bought shares 29 years ago and we are searching for our share certificate. At that time he spent £200 on shares. No idea on what they are worth now. Any help on this one would be appreciated
Thanks for the charty tip, they were close to your target price yesterday but have now slipped slightly. The fundamentals don't look bad either, Tom Winifrith (ex RHPS) has put together a very impressive gold and precious metal portfolio - also tipped by Barclays who have a target price of 3.65p within 12 months. Hopefully the SP will exceed 1.2p on expectation of the Ascot (mining) AIM listing alone, not sure if that will be in the next few days though? How would that look from a chart point of view? Thanks, Swiftie.
wow, long term holder. it should be automatic. watch out for the 27th May'ish to check if they pay out. if you go to the rns, there is more info about getting paid. the good thing is that this will be an ongoing commitment and Dragon will pay out half yearly after the first dividend. best - jc
thanks for your information when you buy the shares are you automatically entered onto the register ? i bought my shares back in 97 all my details are up to date with capita reg etc it's the first time i have had a pay out with div
from DGO RNS dated 22nd Feb... Dividend policy The Board of Directors of Dragon Oil recommends the payment of a full-year maiden dividend of US cents 14 per share in respect of 2010 in recognition of the Group's solid performance, strong financial position and cash generation abilities. Since becoming the operator in the Cheleken Contract Area in 2000, the Group has invested substantially in its infrastructure base and over the last few years has been able to finance the development of the Area from the funds generated by the asset itself. It is our strategy to fund potential acquisitions from existing cash financial resources and debt facilities or, where appropriate, through other options available to the Company. Over the last few years Dragon Oil has generated strong revenues through a combination of substantial production growth and, in certain years, high oil prices. The Board believes these factors enable the Group to continue to fund the organic and non-organic growth strategy as well as make dividend payments. The Board's focus will remain on the Group's growth and, as such, the level of future dividend payments will reflect the Group's then performance, capital requirements and its investment needs and opportunities. The full-year maiden dividend proposed is US cents 14 per share for the year 2010. The dividend will be paid on 27 May 2011 to shareholders on the register as of 3 May 2011. The AGM will be held on 18 May 2011 at the London Hilton. The following is the dividend timetable for the shareholders' information: 21 February 2011: Declaration of final dividend 27 April 2011: Ex-Dividend Date 3 May 2011: Record Date 18 May 2011: AGM 27 May 2011: Dividend Payment Date. The 2010 dividend of US cents 14 per share is a final dividend, which will be paid subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM to be held on 18 May 2011. In subsequent years, the dividend will be split between an interim and final dividend and paid approximately half-yearly.
I think its $0.14 (10p approx). check out JCDefo's link below, i think it says on there.
I thought i saw it as 8.9 pence per share, hope this helps.
Does anybody know what the dividend is being paid please?
I bought these at 236p in August 08 - then watched them drop to the 150s - so these have definitely 'hit the heights we all hope for' as far as I'm concerned! I won't be selling for a while yet - DGO is in a good position and the sp will keep going up, if erratically.
Hi all does any really know what too expect from the share price in the next few months. Things seem very rosey loads of money paying a dividend but we never seem to hit the heights we all hope for. Any views ................
Thanks to JCDefo ; I'm amazed & so is my wife who actually owns them . Not a new wagon yet but who knows .
