Ashstash if you think the share price is only going to drop in the near term then it would make sense for you to sell and re-buy lower to make far more profit long term, I wonder why if you are so sure that you aren’t willing to do that?
The problem Wannabee1 is that the Governments stance seemingly leaked yesterday of National "circuit breaker" 2 week lockdowns until Spring next year is just not the environment to be releasing new films into.
Whereas Covid19 commentary in the media had almost ceased whilst things were under control the commentary is just everywhere. That will dent people's appetite for key sectors such as leisure, hospitality and travel.
With these circuit breakers who is going to advance book a flight or a hotel or indeed cinema tickets.
It may be gucci think tank terminology but it is totally impracticable. For instance who pays for the staffs wages whilst they are on a 2 week lockdown. Will they be unemployed or are companies expected to pick up the tab.
I just think we are back into a mode of creating fear so that more will observe social distancing and that is not conducive with running any business that is dependant on footfall.
If the sp was only going one way, ie down, all these idiots wouldn’t need to constantly bombard this bb with negative sentiment.
We need to remember that

I agree with short term mood - not just Cine but all travel stock. Vaccine is the magic word that will lift to a new trading range. I always thought that cinema can recover much quicker than other leisure sectors - e.g. Travel - as structural change to the market once vaccine is rolled out. If films get delayed, so be it. They will still get released and then bring more revenue. Maybe the odd film goes to VOD but this is purely down to Covid, nothing else
No way I'm selling. It doesn't make sense for me. I don't need the funds and happy to see where things go. I know recovery will happen, but will definitely take a while. I'm happy to take the risk and get the rewards, than sell and fall foul. There's nothing wrong with holding. I think it's just not great for those that can't endure the pain.
Thanks guys, I'm always honest. I work as an financial adviser ironically and believe honesty is the best policy
Ash you will I assume be selling your current holding at whatever loss you currently show then?
This would be the only sensible thing for a person in your position and of the views you hold.
Thanks for the honesty Ash.
I fear this will continue to have more negative than positive days over the next month. I'm long, purely due to buying too high, but I feel that as long as CINE can build revenue, it will recover over the next 2 years. The SP at the moment is on a downward trend, whether we like it or not. UK traded stocks are being damaged by the media mainly and fear of boosting share prices, because of the potential downside risk. This won't be pretty at all. For all those that are long and think I'm wrong, then so bit it. I'm just expressing my opinion and just hope that we can recover in 24 months. And when I mean recover I don't mean above £1.
