£50 in a sweet shop Sivesy haha what did you buy?
Yep! I spent a packet yesterday on encanto and ghostbusters. It did hurt a little(as always) but I thought.. I am not stuck at home and this screen is way bigger than my tv… I also spent £50 in a sweet shop in London in 20 minutes
TS - the product of being confined to home for 12 months +. Cinema won’t die our. It may shrink/expand overtime but there will always be a ready market to serve. People go there for an experience you can’t get at home. Some may be swayed by convenience or cost but the vast majority go for because it’s a day out and you cannot replicate it at home.
Telling you what you already know
Yeah, but cinema’s dead apparently… Isn’t it? :eyeroll:
Honestly, what brain injury do you have to have suffered to ever post on message boards and state no one goes to the cinema anymore. The insane hype for this film puts that ridiculous notion to bed, full stop.
It’s films like these that just confirm to me it’s only a matter of time before we lift all the court nonsense and pandemic fuelled debt burden hanging around our necks and then finally head back to where we belong. Ignore all short term price action, it’s totally irrelevant - patience is all that’s required while we continue to weather the weakening storms.
Bullish. :)
fear fortunes the Brave !!!!
Spiderman will smash the box office! It's huge in the US and here too. With Comicon etc.
Quite right latpulldown , Spider-Man is going to smash all box office takings for , the last 24-36 months as it’s a family movie , showing at the start of this festive period , morning , afternoon , evening shows will be busy & also the refreshments stalls , long & strong. :-)
This one will sell seats right throughout the day and matinees will be popular as well as it will appeal to all age groups and bring out the families and the fans.
Just make sure that if you can you do your bit by booking seats for yourself and your family then you do. Cineworld or Picture House hopefully your first choice but if not then any cinema.
K2 and the likes can spend millions manipulating down the share price. Cumulatively though if we all do our bit and spend between £8.00 and £20 per person then we can hopefully collectively contribute to correcting things back up.
We reached 84p on Bond and got the UK cinema renaissance thereafter. Spiderman No Way Home is already looking much bigger than Bond and it should hopefully inject real pace into the US recovery also.
(smalltrader, if you reduce the zoom to say 80% then it should hopefully fit the whole cinema into your dropbox in one)
Sheffield IMAX almost full...very few seats left! Spiderman release is still more than a week away and see the demand for the movie -
https://snipboard.io/LKr37j.jpg
I couldn't capture the right wing but right wing is full too!
US will see much more demand than here considering the 355 million views of the trailer, it clearly shows the demand. Spiderman alone can rope in close to billion dollar box office.
The opening day 8.30 IMAX showing here in Sheffield is practically sold out. Have a look if you can.
Just the front row and a few seats in the wings remaining.
Should easy get that billion.
