[A MILLION women miss vital breast screening: Thanks Covid-19]
A MILLION women miss vital breast screening: Huge backlog after coronavirus lockdown means thousands of patients could have undetected cancer... with 986,000 waiting for life-saving mammograms
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8787285/A-million-women-miss-vital-breast-screening-huge-backlog-forms-coronavirus-lockdown.html
Indepth ... I'm not invested in mammograms, but thank you for the information.
Agree, NOFEAR.
The ONS have it in black and white:
Over a year, cancer – of all kinds – kills some 165,000 people, which would be an average of 450 people per day.
Covid-19 did not even feature in the top ten leading causes of death in August in England or Wales – with 482 fatalities, it came 24th, after lung cancer, colorectal cancers, prostate cancer, liver disease and even flu.
As we continue to monitor, we will see that projections of doubling each week have been grossly exaggerated and per your point, national restrictions which the government just can not afford at the detriment of public wellbeing won’t be reintroduced.
RS, NoFear and Moola just to say I really enjoy reading your common sense post which help put the current situation into context. They are a great antidote to some of the malicious negativity on this board. I am long and firmly believe in this share. Couldn’t articulate the reasons for this as well as you guys but for me it’s all about fundamentals. Cine isn’t a Debenhams or a Pizza Express which we’re operating failing business models before this Covid nonsense struck. Cine was a money making machine and it will be again. The financial institutions know that and by being supportive they’ll get back their investment. Good luck all LTH brigade and hopefully a SP rise today.
Quote of the day 'government scientific advisers aspire to the idea that the general public are unable to process information'
@indepth - that is NOT correct.
NOFEAR started this thread to illustrate that MILLIONS will miss screening (regardless of what device is used) it's about the consultation and need to get a concern looked at.
In the context of mortality, I posted from ONS that cancer takes 450 lives a day on average, significantly higher than the mortality rate we are seeing with Covid and as posted, this is LOWER than seasonal flu.
What's Your PROBLEM ? @indepthwins
[Thanks RS2002 for your reply] I read your post in support of mine.
I just woke up after having a bad night wondering if you and johnht would had given us some peace
on Wednesday. I guess that would had been a no chance as You and johnht can't keep your finger tips
off your keyboard. Is in your nature to reply to just about anyone who dare to say anything that doesn't
fit your negative agenda which is rebutting even my post on "A Million women miss vital screening".
I posted that comment in support of the notion that these draconian restrictions are ultimately
soon going to be the worst feared results brought on by the covid-19 pandemic which our governments
resulted in a total shut down of the basic NHS services. Moreover, you fail to understand the health catastrophes
that are awaiting ahead. Cineworld just like many other companies are operating in very difficult circumstances
and unfortunately there is still people like you and this forum followers that have money to play around and hunt
down depressed stocks like Cines and bet against it hoping for a full downfall. Just like those damn shorters, they
would not have been shorting Cines and neither we would be finding ourselves buying at these prices had not been
for Covid-19. My last words to you and everyone that posts like you, just remenmber that that eventually the shares
will recover and find the upward path. Investments have always been considered on a long term just like when you
would had been saving in those now well gone high interest saving accounts. Learn to relax and give us breathing
space because you've become along johnht and your other disciples a bunch of nasty members with only but a poisonous
contribution to this great otherwise BB. Finally, I will not be filtering anyone as I like to see what good and bad is being posted. So, Watch What Your Posting...We are onto you. NoFear
