Tardis,
"the link to Telegraph article was to show strong demand across the board"
I agree. However, Byot have missed a golden opportunity here by not having any UK supermarkets selling their hand sanitiser.
"Worth noting that Byotrol's Medimark division has a much wider range of effective products against coronavirus, working together they should be able to meet some of that demand."
Agree, the opportunity is there and Byot should be able to meet some of the extra demand. However, they're not in a position to take full advantage of the opportunity presented.
Question really is how much of that 'some of that demand' is already in the price. The sp is already a lot higher than last May, when they were supplying Tesco (contract lost few months ago) and were 'close' to signing a 2nd National retailer in the US (who never signed!!).
You know a lot about the company for someone who only created their profile yesterday!
stt, the link to Telegraph article was to show strong demand across the board, not necessarily those outlets where Byotrol is stocked.
Worth noting that Byotrol's Medimark division has a much wider range of effective products against coronavirus, working together they should be able to meet some of that demand.
yes sst1 wants a medal.
The Global Hand Sanitizer Market size was valued at $919 million in 2016 to reach $1,755 million by 2023. Just wonder what the new forecast is now?
Stt1's energy on this is making me wonder whether this is better than I thought!
"There is a shortage of hand sanitiser at Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's, as customers try to keep themselves clean during the outbreak"
Byot don't supply supermarkets. They supply 1 product at Boots but they have been sold out for 4 weeks...Loss of potential customers..
They lost the Tesco contract recently.
Major supplier, Robert McBride - supplier to TESCO:
"Post year end we came to the end of our licence relationship with Robert McBride plc and therefore to supplying surface sprays to Tesco. This was an excellent arrangement for us for many years, but it has now run its course and we expect to generate higher margin opportunities with better brand equity from other consumer initiatives.
