The Activists under Mr smith need a 500M bond to cover expenses and loss of revenues in the short term and must prove they can get this before the Judge will look at it , is my understanding so lets see what they got. I don't know why Stena would send their Drillship to Bahamas if there is any risk of no drill other than they are commissioned in MExico mid next year , that is a long time for the ship to be out of normal waters and the crew away from home. But as always a high reward share brings with it high risk so if you cant stomach it then sell and find another board to vent on. The stock market has done very well as has the pension post covid and BPC is the icing on the cake and its a ICEMAX of iceing if we drill and find something worth selling.

“The activists are in for an hiding to nothing that won't stop the drill come December, what will is the cerps dead dog which is bleeding money right left n centre.”
You’ve got this round the wrong way.
I am not denying that CERP is something of a pig in a poke, but CERP is just a sideshow and while it may still be burning cash even at $45 WTI, this certainly isn’t going to stop the drill.
On what basis though can you say that the activists are on a hiding to nothing? We just don’t have the info. Are you sure that BPC or the Bahamian Government haven’t ****ed this process up in some way? If they have, we could find that the injunction is granted by the Supreme Court. The consequences of that hardly bear thinking about. Also, while I can’t speak for the Bahamas, we all know that in some countries proceedings in their Supreme Courts are as much about politics as the law.
All we can do is wait and see what unfolds next week. At some point BPC is finally going to have to state its position on these claims. Will that be the robust and reassuring RNS that we are looking for? Time will tell.
No deramp - I hate iPhones... edited to make sense!!!
I get it, honestly - but don’t let others behaviour (in this case the BOD’s) led you to drop your standards - AIM is a cesspit of vipers but every now and again a company give us the opportunity to provide a return that could be life changing and I guess we have to adhere to their actions be they right or wrong - to a point. I do except things slip and go wrong but hopefully these slips won’t impact our potential much more! Us CERP holders used to have Neil Ritson - A great geologist couldn’t run a bath let alone company the rest is history. So it just goes to prove that sometimes senior management can be removed from post if they’re on purpose! I suspect SP will retire at some point which is why LK was kept on and he has previous with drilling in water....
As for the England game later, I’m praying that England improve their kicking game and is more effective than it has been of late. I hope they mix it up a little, because the passing interchange especially between the forwards and the offloading can be sublime to watch and majorly effective and can be the difference in how many tries scored!! Naturally can’t say who - but a couple of our lads turning out in the Red Rose today...

Sorted! And I’ll apologise to you in return for my outburst too. FWIW I get your frustrations as I posted today. However you and I have come a long way as have others - just hold tight as our Christmas is just around the corner but the BOD should acknowledge our thoughts as after all the company would be nothing if it were not for shareholders.
Now put your feet up and enjoy your Saturday - England v Wales... bring it on...
Is that an apology and subsequent truce old boy?
I take it you have read my other posts?
If you want to hook up name a venue....
Edit - Apologise to me for that - and we move on - it’s in your hands.
Truce?
Lol so Harry you finally show your true beef - the merger with CERP.
I’d wait till you see the CPR before you carry on with that nugget.
And finally you ever accuse me of being untrustworthy around kids again and I will make it my personal quest to deal with you in person.
Apologies for that and we move on - it’s in your hands.

Can you send me the link please Harry? I’d like to read it.
Again i agree with you on this but also wonder would we need the placing at all. This money is our final money the money we would use if we needed to test our any finds we may have made. So on that reasoning we would have disocovered something my understanding is this would test the quality of that find not the quantity. So the 3:1 of the drill has already gone and you are no down to 50:50 ie good quality or not good quality and i would agrue that it is probably better than that as the initial results i think would reveal whether this was just black water or even too heavy oil ie bitumine i think it is. So now we probably on to a 3:1 bet in our favour so why could be not take the find we have got with information we have got and do a RBL on it. Let's face it it would probably only be for a few weeks as when we sell on the field or JV out the field we will get all that money back. The way i see this it is a bit of a storm in a tea cup.
Yes it would be nice if the budget had included a proper sized contingency so this did not come and blind side us now but then i do not think any company or country has truly estimated the cost of fighting the pandemic. And if we had budgeted over $30m for all of this would it have frightened a lot of people off for good and gone for the JV any way.
Personally right at this moment i am conflicted yes i would like a decent JV now to give the share price a proper boost pre spud so i can off load but then i would receive a lot less on a successful strike and i am rather a fan of a company saying" we do not need you we are doing this our own way in our own timetable and our own finances you will pay for it all later. "
Starchild - whilst I can hardly believe it credible that the eia could be challenged on such grounds, the proposed ship under the eia was Stena West Saturn but which is similarly a 6th gen ship.
An as aside, Bizzell are not known to share dump? Now, that's not credible.
Robbla: I stand corrected ....
EIA here: https://www.depp.gov.bs/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/BPC-Perseverance-Well-EIA-Final-Feb2020.pdf
Seadrill was named
IceMax is 6th generation https://www.energyvoice.com/oilandgas/americas/241508/stena-drilling-wins-contract-for-well-in-bahamasste/
I still believe the lawyers are relying on technicalities rather than the spirit of the already approved EIA. Compounded by the force majeure event probably necessitating a replacement operator. It didn't help that Seadrill had or were having financial issues at the time compounded by Covid/PoO events.
Starchild
Have either of you (Harry or Star) actually read the EIA? Suggest you do.
Robbla: I believe the Feb 2020 EIA did not name the specific ship. Yet implied consent was given subject to the ship and operator being experienced and suitable. When ordering a mega billion dollar IT system as a multinational, it is said no IT director has ever been sacked for ordering from IBM or Microsoft, even if it fails. Stena and its ships are reputable and state of the art.
Starchild
EIA says different and you can’t really argue with that.
1. Had Stena agreed to a JV for shares @2.5p, $10m/£7.5m would have resulted in 300m shares next week. I believe most would have been OK with this, because…..
(a) It is unlikely Stena would dump, otherwise why not ask for cash?
(b) It would fund Percy-1 contingency and a chunk of ex-CERP dev. The latter somewhat irrelevant if Percy-1 was a success, yet provide a hedge, if not.
So why is yesterday’s RNS such a big deal to some? It’s a relatively small c120m shares for £3m, after spud.
2. Would there be the same uproar (by the few) as seen yesterday, if BPC has to use some of the $5m contingency? I suspect not. So why is yesterday’s RNS such a big deal by the few who give the illusion of being the many?
3. We’re now in the 2nd wave of a pandemic with fast moving developments. The BPC BoD and Stena acted. To protect the crew, ensure travel to/from/via countries under lockdown, facilitate strict self-isolation and to protect us, money has to be spent. Intercontinental private jets and regional ones are expensive. Labour costs increased. Someone has to pay the crew while self-isolating, the room cost and all meals. No one can seriously argue it is Stena’s responsibility, especially as the contract was negotiated during the 1st wave and almost certainly had force majeure/Covid clauses. A 15% increase minimises risk, ensures the drill, and most importantly protects life. This is a TINY sacrifice in the overall picture. So why is yesterday’s RNS such a big deal?
4. Some of the comments and personal attacks by the few, were totally outrageous. Anybody would have thought some dire event had occurred such as a giant squid had attempted to mate with the IceMax resulting in a broken rudder.
5. Refer to the Investec presentation. It’s analysts’ predict the possibility of 6p spud/39p success assuming ‘only’ 700m boe. Refer to page 9 and note 6p/39p is based on the WHOLE Bizzell CLN being capitalized. Source https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/64836057/bahamas-petroleum-company-investec-buy So again I ask, why is yesterday’s RNS such a big deal (or surprise) by the few who give the illusion of being the many?
6. Bizzell are not known to share dump. It is on the record from recent BoD interviews, they made substantial money from EU’s and SP’s previous companies. This implies they will only de-risk some of their holdings.
I believe the few who give the illusion of being the many, want to move the SP down for personal gain. If this is not the case, why bombard and disrupt when they can complain direct? https://www.bpcplc.com/contacts/grievances/
It is good the BoD have extended covid precautions. The initial CLN is small. There’s plenty of time for the SP to soar before the spud result. And even if Bizzell extended the CLN in January and de-risked all their shares, there will be plenty of appetite to share gobble.
IMHO. DYOR. Enjoy Saturday.
