https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/investing/article-7767297/MIDAS-SHARE-TIPS-UPDATE-bowling-venue-tip-Hollywood-Bowl-right-target.html - good write-up ahead of results on 13th. GLA
sorry wrong board. this one is just the ticket. Very stubborn resistance at 240p mid though .
Willy W@nka and the ****-up factory. Anyone got a golden ticket?
and an assault on 250p possible. It will need some impetus and the finals on Dec 13th might give this one some shove. I expect despite the Brexit uncertainty and high street gloom that Bowl has been bowling along nicely due to its offering. I expect some xmas cheer in December,
Might be a subliminal message. Or some major investor wants a 1-to-1 conversation while they take a stake here. Or it might be an investor who dropped a bowling ball on his 'ead and switched to investing in shares for leisure.
Well if current trading maintains then we should get a filip on Dec 13th with a seasonal giveaway in the shape of a special divi. Hasn't a lot of refit work already been done? If so, then Capex will lessen in the current cycle freeing up more cash. Any slip in the SP should be seen as a buying opportunity given the steady performance to date of the company.
Don't see any solid documented factors to support a sustained uptick in SP and the director sale was only 200k shares which has easily been absorbed in the daily volumes since. I would suspect that the increased buying volumes since the trading statement are people hoping for the special divi on top again - that's certainly why I have bought in now. A 6% divi will do well for now and we'll wait and see what future reports reveal on whether bowling can keep growing - I would expect continued ups and downs in SP though, rather than rapid rises. Certainly been the pattern to date.
now after the director sale. Some underlying strength is evident and If I am on the ball I think we will see 250p soon enough. JPMorgan is overweight on this with a TP of 270p which if realised would be far more than pin money for any investor. I am staying the course here.
Director sale of nearly half a million quid's worth put the brakes on this. Those shares will sson be gobbled up. I think opportunities for directors to sell a good chunk are limited and the said director still has a sizeable holding. The fundamentals are good here so it will be onwards and upwards soon
What is going on, why has the share price dropped today. Strong results all going in the right direction
with PBT growth of 10% so Bowl is on a roll. The rise this morning doesn't do it justice so get in the queue and grab some action. Strong buy!
investors might want to get their fingers into this one before they get bowled out. Pretty happy I must say with the divi and the steady SP. I am looking for 250p in the short-term.
Yes, the golf venture should help in terms of pushing the sp north in the future. I'm wondering how much further the sp might fall, if at all further. I'm hoping for sub 200p, but we shall see!
Also featured in Shares Magazine yesterday and tipped as a buy by a broker with an initial target of 250p and then 300p when Golf comes on stream. You were right about price weakness John Doe. This pays a divi which has been useful for me to accumulate more to the ones I bought between 206 and 221p. Will be definitely adding more next week as the results were good and the SP weakness is definitely an opportunity to make a strike here.
Good article in IC this week regarding bowl. I'm still on sidelines, i believe there will be sp weakness next couple of months...
250p. Market is obviously pleased with the update. Company is trading well but struggles above 240p. A further move to 250p would be good progress.
Yep, still can't breach 250p. Will wait to see if it drifts back to 200p...
Morning JohnDoe. I say it will take significant buying for us to breach 250p. It would be very positive if it did. Only 2 trades at 249p yesterday and those were outliers of pitiful amounts. Mind you there has been good buying interest at 245 and 246p. After a good run in the last few months I would be happy if we could consoiidate at 250p or above.
Hi fallingknife, Good progress on the sp front here. 250p has proved to be stubborn resistance in the past, let's see if it can crack it this time. Agree what Robbie Burns says, every time he goes past one they are usually full. Not invested here. Wait for any weakness in sp...
after pushing through resistance. 250p on the way I should think as we skittle various resistances. 240p might prove the next resistance as we move into the fast lane of new highs.
Hi JD. Tipped in the Times today as a buy which has probablt drawn in some punters. The piece by Tempus was unusually sketchy on financials but more on quotes from the CFO about value for money and not being affected by Brexit. Good jump today but I have a feeling it will struggle to get past 230p as it has been resistance for a while.
Yes, decent update. One I've had my eye on for a while, should have bought when sp was around 185p. Bit surprised at drop today, think "In line" guudsnve hasn't excited some investors...
have this as a buy today. Shore Capital, Liberum and Peel Hunt. New target prices of 275p to 280p. In line results expected despite proclaiming a strong start for the year. It is good to temper expectations though and hopefully this will continue to bowl along at a good clip. Been quite a nice steady investment to date for me with a hand yield so while other shares are falling like nine pins I have a feeling this one will stay the course and reward investors with their eye on the ball.
You were right about SHOE... Time to watch on sidelines here for now.
from 210 today nice touch if you hit the 210 this morning
I’m in at 183 so I will be ready tomorrow for a touch if the mms feel generous
