No John BOI has a price to book of 82 At 12 billion AIB will be 1.05 I'll be shorting when the dust settles on the ipo
Because BoI is being kept down and should really be valued at about .30c, imo it is a far better and safer buy to AIB, the devil you know etc.... due a big recovery here.
"With a price range between €3.90-4.90, the deal is targeting a similar valuation to that of Bank of Ireland. " So, the guys keeping bkir down for the last months will get their way in the end. Unfortunately we are but pawns in the game.
AIB market cap €12 billion. BOI market cap €7.5 billion. Doesn't add up to me. What's your reasoning?
Morning, what are peoples opinions on AIB. At mid range (4.30 euro) it seems OK
It has been perfect storm , the british just cant decide what they want a whole year later, baffling..now their trying to delay brexit again to milk off single market for longer,WHAT FREEBIES
Every bank rallying with the exception of BOI.
Our Arlene is suddenly restored and perhaps more vigorous than ever - inspired by this wonderful moment in history - what a pity she places such faith in the Conservatives. On the news this evening you could almost feel the excitement in her voice as she spelt out the direction of travel for Northern Ireland and with it her chance for a place in history. We had another politician here who placed his trust in the conservatives - it did not end well - in jumping so hastily into this brew with no regard to the future beyond the money transfers, she has not thought how her actions will play out with the electorate when the next election is called here - perhaps as soon as November. The demands which will be made on the treasury tomorrow, when Arlene flies over with her shopping bag will ensure that Northern Ireland will acquire the status of being a luxury that this country will find it hard to continue to "support". DUP's use of the term "support" reminds me of how much it used to cost me for the bank to "support" me as they described it - £40K a year under Margaret when they were squeezing the economy.. Good luck all..

Lower end still values 30% lower than AIB a bank still 75% owned by the state.
So based on that spread I wonder where we will open tomorrow? Hopefully not lower.
AIB valuation
Old England is dying where criminals are canonised He steals from me and he lies to you Old england is dying I will quote from The Waterboys Still he sings an empires song And still he keeps his beliefs strong And he sticks his flag where it ill, belongs Old England is dying And its a pity
.. the french never wanted Uk in the EU.. it was only after de Gaulle passed on that this deal was made possible
Reminds me of Oliver & Hardy - these are the people who are going to rebuild the Empire after Brexit - I wouldn't trust them with a lollipop on a stick at a crossing. Where is the Euro now after the City's trial of strength and how is Europe doing with all its broken country's ?? Good luck all..
On the way , the grandeur delusions are over , the youth have demanded a future , and said "stop it" to the elders, the game is up , and nigel farage (gobbles) has been exposed ,.
Is about to do a deal with DUP which will bring Violence back to the streets of Northern Ireland, the good Friday Agreement is about to be destroyed, after all the years hard work simply for power at any costs
If English where to compromise on the above (£)would rise and help B O I G L A
More like Drowning Street
.. it appears there is worry about the aib sale.. the shorting..... looks like blackrock does not fit the definition of a high quality investor.. The State plans to sell 25 per cent of AIB initially but will be looking to offload the remainder of its 99.9 per cent stake over time. So it’s important to attract a high-quality, and supportive, shareholder register that won’t have significant churn. When pricing the IPO, the department will want to attract the widest investor audience for the bookbuild while creating momentum that could allow it to demand a price close to the top of the range.
Just struck the nail on the head - excellent video and just what was needed as an antidote to the chaos that reins in Downing Street. All we need now is for Boris to be crowned in Theresa's place and it will be game over - the beer kellers must be doing good business in Germany - I can almost hear the laughter from here. Ah well soon be Monday - back on the course and smash a few tee's whilst hitting the ball out of sight.
Brilliant video
