Does anyone on here think that the merger between shell and BG group will not go ahead? I can't see shell pulling the plug as they need this as far as I'm concerned...

still its 10%below thw offer allue ,is it the clearance by varuios countries ,or the fear the offer may be altered or even pulled that's keeping the price depressed ,in relatiom to shell price ??

The deal will not be pulled ,but the cash element will be just over £2 and a slight increase to about .5 per shel share.
RDS SP has dropped by well over 20% in the last year. If that rate continues BG seems to be priced about right. Maybe even a bit overpriced if the deal is uncertain.
A cold winter in Europe / Asia, OPEC supply agreement, raise in rate by Fed, reduced Opex/ Capex, a strike in Alaska by She'll, ..all things that would bode well for BG. making it a bargain at current price.
7xx pence if deal falls through, I would imagine. If it was an entirely done deal, there would be very little difference between BG price and RDS offer.
Won't be easy money if the deal doesn't go through... What price BG then ?
Some massive buys shown up for yesterday afternoon.
pricing I calculate that the present BG price is leaving close to £ 1.50 on the table. provided I have not missed any change to the £ 3.83 cash plus 0.4454 RDSB share proposal. Looks like pretty easy money to me. Rgds
A new deal with shell ,less cash but ,if the share rises in future as higher percent of shares might not be so bad
