This sounds like a subtle de-ramp to get a better entry point....
Welcome MrCat!
I had the same dilemma at the last equity raise, and was worried about the SP falling but it held true for a good while. Obviously has come down since but that wasn't due to new shares being issued. Any finance raised now will only increase the value of this project, and it's just one last push to get into construction. Personally, I would be buying now if possible as the market cap is extremely low (potentially the value of our profit after first year). But as always, do your own research and make your own decision.
The most similar company on AIM would probably be European Metals, although they are run a bit different. Any chemical producers of battery grade product, at a low cost, are very likely to hit the ground running. My other favorites are Piedmont Lithium, Lithium Americas and European Metals. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. But with Baca producing 99.9% carbonate, we can sell at the higher end of the contract price market, and produce at the lower end of the cost curve, so our margins should be up their with the best. I just wish we were selling into Europe.. I think our SP would be doing a bit better if so. There's a lot of noise and investment coming from the top in Europe, with America following on their tails!
With a possible dilution happening: should I buy now or should I wait for the new shares to be released? I only have a small holding at which I add £20 every month. I think the company has good potential but I am thinking on how it will play out. Are there examples of AIM shares that had a similar evolution? How would the SO evolve when everything becomes operational? Seeing a similar company would help me in better understanding BCN.
(if it is not clear, I am new to investing).
r76- you talk like someone who has been in this for a relatively short period...
Yeh like from 2014 when share price was 89p
Kinda wish you hadn't make me look up have long I've been in this share and the prices I paid.....
I wonder what price it needs to get to make it worthwhile.
Interesting....seeing as it didn't list until July 2014...
It was on the Toronto Stock exchange before moving to London

People took advantage of the early 2018 highs of £1.40something and the lows that followed, I hope. Like everything, it's about timing. On AIM, as we all know, you must always take your profits during highs (and sometimes sit on losses till they hopefully recover -- Rainbow Rare in my case at 8p a share). This share will take off. When, well, we may be waiting some more months yet...let's hope that in 5 years time, when it's 20 quid or more share, we'd wish we had bought more back in the mid 2020s.
Well I may have made a slight error, but I have been in this investment since the very start so what difference does a few months make its still a long time to watch paint dry !

I feel for you guys who have been here since 2013.
7 years of a slow burning Secker (shivers).
The market will have to take notice when the finance is complete and construction starts. It just has to. 45mill market cap is ridiculously cheap in my opinion.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if our Capex was increased slightly, given that they are now looking at hydroxide as well. But i wouldnt mind that as its value added and opens up a lot more doors.
Either way, hoping for an uptick in SP come Q1 2021. Can't see it moving too much until the EPC is finished at the end of the year.
Yes it is a matter of when I have been here since 2013 !
I actually agree. This will be BIG it’s just a matter of when. So many different possibilities here

I think all the directors and major shareholders want this to get of the ground and increase the share price. No of us or them are in this for any other reason than to get it producing, making an profit, and seeing the share price rise to the NPV of 1.25 Billion. The upside is just too good to want it to carry on with endless reports and no action.
Ganfeng have not bought in for it not to produce Lithium they have contracts to supply. Hanwa likewise. M&G did not double their shareholding to see it stagnate.
You and I are not here to see it stagnate. So seems like idle hands talking things down. I prefer to be glass half full , optimistic. I would say give it 6 months to Q4 2020. But its now 5.5 months. You could always sell up and buy Tesla if you haven't already missed the boat.
I always thought Secker was a slug to be honest he is still (like most AIM CEOs) getting his salary so why worry ...
It is all squeaky Bum time here , where have we gone only one way 140.50 to 21.10 good great management G L A
I don't think Secker has ever had any intention of taking this to production. He will keep plodding along until someone buys it imo
An opportunity for someone else. I am too heavily invested here already and cheap as it is, it is still above my average buy price. I am still bullish on this project but the opportunity cost has been painful! Hopefully dilution will be limited and my faith here will be proven with at least a 10 bagger!
I've been in BCN for many years. The delays are frustrating. Not sure what price this will ever achieve and whether it will have been worth it. But sometimes shares just trickle along not doing much, losing value. then as soon as you sell they Rocket, Ceres, ITM Power, Tesla. all gone up multiple times this year. But looking at the charts spent years going no where.
Looking on the bright side its a bankable project with lots of interest from Ganfeng, M&G, Hanwa.... And even Ganfeng need the Lithium this project will bring to market. They have lots of customers for it and Lithium Americas alone will not provide all they need.
Still very optimistic this will come good within 12 months. Hopefully closer to their more recent pronouncement of Xmas.
15% discount to what gangfen paid. No brained just a bit of patience needed.
This going down to these levels is another opportunity enjoy i will :-)
spot on Wolfi_at.
Why would you rush anything whilst you are getting paid and not really having to do anything. No action,no updates and constantly missed deadlines.Gifting a big stake to a lithium major and then doing nothing to advance the project doesn't seem like a great benefit to existing shareholders.I agree taking no salary/benefits or shares in lieu seems like the fair thing to do!
