Congratulations to all those who got out at just over £3 when the possible offer was announced. The actual offer is I feel quite underwhelming, but I doubt we will have a Morrisons situation with major shareholders not happy with the offer on the table. No doubt the main shareholder here has given the green light to this. I'm not surprised at the contingency element, but the size of it is poor given that if tax is repaid to Augean it will be worth at least 40 pence per share. After so much time negotiating this offer they come up with something that is as I say underwhelming, and perhaps could have been arrived at far sooner.
Out at 333p. There may be additional bids but I’m happy with this price and it frees up funds for other opportunities. Good luck for those of you still holding
New offer much more like it. I actually voted against the original offer, although it would still have gone through if the new bid had not arrived.
Will we see a Morrisons type situation, current price suggests there may be more action.
Morgan Stanley not ruling out a further bid, so they remain in the game
Huge number of shares traded yesterday above offer price, so that is telling as to what is likely to happen next.
The original bidders not unexpectedly have come back with a 340p offer. Although with these things nothing is certain I would not be surprised to see the second bidder come back with 350p and that is the final price.
Two really large buys late today
Google have the share price jumping to £4.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just before the close. No RNS, so must be a mistake

It was a mistake - trade went through at £4.50 after market closed, but was then cancelled
So next week it goes to auction……any thoughts?….just the 2 bidders or can anyone else join in?
My reading of the RNS is that only the two bidders can participate. But I suppose after the auction process another party could jump in, although I suspect it's down to the two we have. I was anticipating a final price of £3.50, but perhaps it might get a little higher.
Hoping for £3.75 to £4, but who knows it’s an auction, if they both want it badly enough?
Judging by the current price you may be closer than my £3.50 guess
Quite a number of buys at £3.70 today
Some big buys at that level, makes you think that some people more in the know than us are confident it’s going higher than £3.70
If we get lucky it will. Nothing yet from the Takeover Panel website
Slightly disappointed after this afternoons price action. Top price paid this afternoon was identical to the winning bid….
Strange purchase at 9.48 this morning. 300 shares at £3.75.
